The US are a joke. When it was about overthrowing a Democrat government with the benediction of Trump, a few thousand people almost succeeded. Now for a fascist government people are spineless.
Your president breaks laws every day without any check and balances. He betrays every alliance concluded with foreign countries when he's not being openly hostile towards them.
You had the Epstein files that in a normal democracy would have been enough to impeach your president. It never happened.
The orange turd will get away with it and all of his billionaires friends and family members too. Unless a real popular and democratic uprising happens justice will never be served.

The Orange Turd is untouchable. Their Supreme Court ruled that the President has complete immunity. It was decided that nothing will happen to him before he even took power again. And the Americans aren't going to rise up, their government has successfully domesticated the population.
The United States spent decades preaching to the rest of us about democracy and "freedom" just to turn around and reinvent the monarchy. Absolute hypocritical farse of a country.

This issue is much older than Trump and MAGA. Nixon and Reagan committed treason, Bush Senior orchestrated the flow of crack into minority communities as head of the CIA, his son waged war based on proven lies. Nothing happened to any of them

Check out Tomas Schuman (Yuri Bezmenov) to find out, where/when this started. Its no coincidence that what’s happening actually is happening right now.
He gave an interview )I think almost 50 years ago) where he breaks down what and how the KGB works and that they’re manipulating people over generations to foster a certain mindset within generations. We are seeing their plan working now.

Surprised no American's have spoken out yet about how difficult it is for them to protest because they've allowed themselves to get screwed over by both parties for decades. They can't seem to put it together that people in Europe are starting a revolution for much less with similar consequences for protesting. Revolution is not without consequences.
Before anyone jumps, I don't condone any of the looting or destruction happening in Europe.37

As a French protestor it pisses me off that the right wing propaganda uses the incidents (looting/degradation of a few shops) to overshadow the legitimacy of the peaceful protesters that outnumber by far the few rioters.

The insurrection that occurred was to benefit Trump, and happened under his control. There was as a result very limited response until quite a while after the fact, which was then later pardoned. The federal government was more than capable of intervening and stopping it, both ahead of time and as it was happening, but they chose not to because it directly benefit (and was coordinated by) the active administration.
If the same thing happened against them, it would not go over anywhere close to the same way. Even with a neutral administration, that national guard would have been brought in immediately. Hell, intelligence agencies probably would have squashed it before it even happened. With a hostile administration that is both the target, and is clearly willing to break any and all rules, laws, and protocol to accomplish their ends, it would be much worse.
I guarantee if the events were replayed against them, there would be much more than just the local police there, and they would not be trying their hardest to avoid injuring or killing people. Quite the opposite I'm sure.

u/LLILILiLIILILILILII 8h ago
It started in 2016, but I think most of the world was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt after kicking him out in 2020. 2024 was far more damaging.
The disdain towards the country that had 4 years of seeing what a lying, thieving moron this man is, and giving him a chance to have another go is orders of magnitude more severe than how we judged you the first time around.
2016 was almost just funny. 2024 shows that the USA is not a country that Europe should be too reliant upon.

This is why I expect this political era to go on for a while. This sort of amoral obsequiousness towards authoritarians has been prevalent on the right for a while now and will outlast Trump. People aren't mad about this, or ICE raids, or blatant corruption, or an illegal war ... they're mad fuel is expensive.
There is a fundamental rot of civic morals in the American citizenry and I'm not sure what it will take to reverse that.
41
u/Ok_________oi 12h ago
The American people was made docile, ignorant, their morals taken away, made hard working (chasing the unreachable American dream, tech bros fin-bros) to be the absolute perfect subjects and feed into the current dictatorship, and to fall right back in line when their democracy is taken away. They did a damn good job at it.

Having lived with people like Trump all my life, it's not a lie. At least not in the common meaning of the word like you and I understand it.
A narcissist believes that their own belief makes a thing the truth. And no amount of proof or reasoning can make them deny "their" truth.
Trump himself is the perfect example. His recent statement about the supposed "deal" went something like "They've made a deal because I said they've made a deal." Questioning him goes nowhere because in his mind, it's not a lie- because HE said it, that makes it true.
This confuses people like you & me. We have normal reasoning ability and can see the objective truth before us. Trump and his followers can only work with what they consider the acceptable truth. I.e. the truth that they've been given and are incapable of doubting.

This asshole needs to be among the first in line when taking traitors to court, right behind the orange guy and Stephen Miller. Oh, and the drunk running the "Department of War".

Republicans are absolutely amazing. 40 years ago they worshipped at the cult of Reagan, who ranted and raved about the Evil Empire and continued the Red Scare baiting from the '50's. Threw open the doors to free trade too, and every Vote R robot said "Yup, perfect!". Even named an airport after this senile old POS.
Cue forward to today. Now the Vote R Forever clowns are completely down with Putin running the White House AND paying thousands extra per year due to tariffs. Absolutely unbelievable. Only in America.

It is just so tiring. How has everything the democratic world has fought for over the past century led to the world's biggest democratic power glazing the world's biggest autocracy.

Putin is a humanitarian? 😳Like Dark Vader and Sauron are fictional depictions of humanitarians?
😤Look, if words have no meaning anymore than I am a neurosurgeon and a pro golfer and also an unicorn and also the fastest turtle on earth! Why not? The moon is called Alpha Centauri and the law of mavity is what explains the apple falling on Newton's head!
My gosh americans don't make any sense at all!

Trump’s ‘envoy’ Witkoff is his real estate developer friend. Is there any one who is actually qualified to do their job amongst Trump’s minions?

I'm no US citizen.
But it's truly inconceivable to witness how it went from Cold War to Trump jerking off Putin.

Trump and government are officially traitors and should be treated and tried as such. It is up to the millions of citizens of this country to uphold our constitution and hold public officials accountable.
