Oh agreed. He's nobody's fool but I do believe he's someone who believes that force and willpower will overcome inconvenient facts.

Get enough yes men surrounding you for so long, always whispering how right you are, and have enough time pass I’m sure it starts getting to your head. Look at Trump. You honestly think he thinks he’s the bad guy?

That is really a problem. If you go so long without anyone pushing back on you or correcting you, it’s easy when you have personalities like Trump or Putin to really believe you are the greatest thing that’s ever happened to the human race. All you hear from the sycophants around you is how awesome you are. It’s scary.

He is not, he is thoroughly enjoying America bend so far as to salute him for the thing he is furthest from. That’s got to feel good. Imagine someone praising Tom Cruise for his height, Jay Z for his looks, or Putin for his humanitarian efforts.
