This just makes no sense whatsoever. Of all the things to claim someone to be, why bother claiming this? Do they understand the meaning of the word humanitarian? It’s like they go absolutely out of their way to tell a lie.

44

u/Diligent-Bowler-1898 11h ago

The point is the lie, it signals loyalty, the bigger the better.

18

u/Fat_Curt 11h ago

The other point is just obliterate objective truth, so nothing has any meaning

1

u/blaze_mcblazy 11h ago

This life is so stupid

1

u/ThirstyPrisoner 1h ago

But is Putin even remotely concerned with being (erroneously) referred to as a humanitarian? Has he at any point indicated that that is something he cares about? You’d think that they would be more strategic and efficient with their lies at least. Unlike some people, I don’t think Putin is out there campaigning for a Nobel prize.

6

u/bricoXL 10h ago

And do it as publicly as possible to really make the point.

I would so love to be a fly on the wall when the cameras have gone.

4

u/Diligent-Bowler-1898 10h ago

I heard the mooch say that he believes Trump dislikes many of his own sycophants and likes humiliating them. A lot of things made more sense from that lens.

2

u/EveningAnt3949 10h ago

That's exactly it.

75

u/Leftunders 10h ago

Having lived with people like Trump all my life, it's not a lie. At least not in the common meaning of the word like you and I understand it.

A narcissist believes that their own belief makes a thing the truth. And no amount of proof or reasoning can make them deny "their" truth.

Trump himself is the perfect example. His recent statement about the supposed "deal" went something like "They've made a deal because I said they've made a deal." Questioning him goes nowhere because in his mind, it's not a lie- because HE said it, that makes it true.

This confuses people like you & me. We have normal reasoning ability and can see the objective truth before us. Trump and his followers can only work with what they consider the acceptable truth. I.e. the truth that they've been given and are incapable of doubting.

16

u/SmartGirl62 9h ago

As George Costanza famously stated “ It’s not a lie if you believe it.”

11

u/IndividualTension887 8h ago

You lived with a pedophile??? Me too... It really sucks seeing one of them in office, especially after what they did to children. There isn't justice for children...

12

u/Leftunders 8h ago

Haha - it's scary how much ground "people like Trump" covers!

5

u/bushsniffa 9h ago

Having been gaslit your whole life into somehow thinking lying isn't lying by liars is what you mean.

2

u/nonuple_espresso 8h ago

But that wasn't trump or putin making the statement.

2

u/Maximum-Formal-6672 9h ago

No, that is a lie. A vile lie, at that.

Just because an individual lives in a virtual world and believes it to be real, that doesn’t make it real.

By that logic, one could even justify a serial killer, simply because he believes he is doing good.

10

u/keeper_of_the_donkey 9h ago

And that is exactly the point he is making. He even said this confuses people like us. He said what he said, and he was correct.

1

u/bushsniffa 9h ago

No, they have agency and can tell the truth.

This is the ridiculous and enabling lie: "Trump and his followers can only work with what they consider the acceptable truth. I.e. the truth that they've been given and are incapable of doubting"

5

u/keeper_of_the_donkey 8h ago

We're not speaking on terms of normal people here. We're talking on terms of narcissists like Trump. Trump believes in his head that what he is saying is true. That means that he is going to perform actions based on his truth. It has absolutely nothing to do with the actual truth. This is the part I think people are missing.

2

u/bushsniffa 8h ago edited 8h ago

Whatever "normal" people are... What you are saying for trump, is literally true for everybody. It's not the responsibility of other people to coddle one towards reality. What a dogwater excuse for shit behavior.

3

u/glassy_paddle 8h ago

Normal people == people without a significant personality disorder. Personality orders are identifiable and officially categorized: https://www.psychiatry.org/patients-families/personality-disorders/what-are-personality-disorders

OP here isn't saying we should allow it or excuse it, but it helps to understand where Trump's behavior starts. If you've never encountered a true narcissist in your life, you are lucky. They are genuinely terrible.

I'm not a psychologist/psychiatrist, so it's unclear if Trump is narcissist or sociopathic, or both. He seems to be both IMO.

3

u/bushsniffa 8h ago

This has gotten a bit out of hand, and thank you for you comment. They are still lying. And no wishy-washy no it's a falsehood because they don't intend to deceive. Bullshit grand station.

3

u/glassy_paddle 8h ago

Oh I agree 100%. It's truly terrible that we have a president with severe personality disorders. And we need to make sure they are all held to account.

3

u/glassy_paddle 8h ago

Unfortunately, they don't have agency. This doesn't mean we should allow it, it's just the reality of the personality disorder.

Narcissists do not see or accept alternative worldviews. Because their internal psychology is fundamentally egocentric, they view their own perspective not as an opinion, but as the objective, absolute truth. Most of us have the ability to hold, validate, and share a reality with another person – narcissists do not.

1

u/bushsniffa 8h ago

Actually hold someone to account and you'll see their agency magically reappear.

2

u/glassy_paddle 8h ago

No, you won't. Narcissists and sociopaths genuinely never accept other world views. They will do anything and everything to pursue their world view with no contrition or an ethical framework the rest of us follow.

To be clear, no one here is saying we should not hold Trump and his administration to account. But it's worth understanding there is no "normal" world view secretly in there somewhere.

But 100% agree, we really need a sweeping change through midterms and in '28, and then we need to send a lot of people to prison or make sure they never hold any position worth anything ever again.

2

u/bushsniffa 8h ago edited 7h ago

It's a lie and they fundamentally intend to deceive alls I'm sayin.

3

u/glassy_paddle 8h ago

100% agree.

As an aside, I have dealt with a new narcissists and sociopaths in my life, and it's just wild how their brain works. Like, you can show them actual evidence of something they did, and they just won't accept it. Or, they will make you feel like they are amazing and warm people when they are just manipulating you. It's bonkers.

2

u/broguequery 8h ago

Well here in reality, we get to see the proof everyday in real time.

Trump constantly does shit like this, and his followers eat it up without question.

So I would agree with OP.

6

u/lc4444 9h ago

He’s not justifying it, he’s explaining their mindset and why arguing them is pointless and frustrating. Doesn’t make it ok. Just get people like that out of positions of power. Don’t waste time trying to make them see why they’re wrong because you can’t.

4

u/No-Builder-1038 9h ago

But this is all in his mind so good luck convincing him he’s wrong

5

u/Beneficial-Sun-5863 8h ago

No need to convince him. Just lock him up. The fact that he’s been doing this all of his life and have gotten away with it time and time again just shows that people are too quick to brush narcissistic behavior off or even glorify it on TV. It should be met with the same caution as people diagnosed with Paranoid-Schizophrenia & untreated Bipolar disorder.

3

u/Prajnamarga 9h ago

Technically it's not a lie. It's bullshit. A liar cares about the truth and tries to deceive you. A bullshitter tries to persuade you with no regard for the truth (they neither know nor care what the truth is).

These men don't give a crap about truth.

But look at the three guys watching him suck Putin's dick. They cannot believe it.

2

u/broguequery 8h ago

It is literally lying.

But you are correct that they don't care about the truth.

3

u/Leftunders 9h ago

You might be conflating the concept of a "falsehood," which is "a statement that contradicts a fact or facts" with a "lie" which is "a falsehood made with the intent to deceive."

You can make a falsehood without intent to deceive. I once told my mechanic that the oil in my car needed to be changed when I did not know that my wife had taken it to the same dealership for an oil change a couple of days before. I did not intend to deceive the service tech about the state of my vehicle's lubricants. That made my statement "it needs an oil change" a falsehood. But not a lie, even though I intended for him to believe me.

If I had returned the next day with the same car in the same general condition and made the same statement, it would have been a lie- assuming I wanted to convince the service tech that it was the truth.

Trump's belief that the deal had been stuck was the same as my belief that the car's oil needed changing. The difference is that his belief came from his narcissism causing him to equate "I said it" with "it's the truth," and my mistaken belief came from my inability to pay attention to anything my wife says.

Granted, there are situations where the person should have known that their statement was a falsehood, which would blur the line between "falsehood" and "lie," but those don't apply to narcissists because to them it doesn't matter whether what they say is true or false. Only that you believe and comply. To them, their statement is still true, for the same reason: they said so.

2

u/broguequery 8h ago

This introduces needless complexity.

They simply live in a delusion of their own making.

1

u/bushsniffa 8h ago edited 8h ago

Your tortured logic falls apart in the first sentence. They do it to deceive flat out.

1

u/Maximum-Formal-6672 6h ago

A lot of words.

I am certain that they (Steve Witkoff) know perfectly well that they are lying.

And they are lying for their own purposes.

THAT’S IT.

As for Trump, I don’t know—perhaps he is simply old and not fully in touch with reality.

1

u/Twat_Features 5h ago

This man is obsessed with “cock warming” and semen and posts stories about it, lol.

Take nothing seriously. A lot of words for no point.

1

u/laughing_at_napkins 9h ago

I don't know. I feel like Dexter was a good person. But he's the exception that proves the rule.

0

u/Acrobatic-Roof-8116 9h ago

That vile murderer who killed that innocent person in that public restroom?

1

u/laughing_at_napkins 9h ago

The serial killer of serial killers from the show Dexter

yep. if listen at all they may listen to others' pleasantries, mostly they listen for their turn to speak because they have to.

1

u/grodudulle77 2h ago

On dirait bien qu’il sortent tous de l’hôpital psychiatrique !!😁🤪

30

u/Okoear 11h ago

I'm with you on this. Putin was probably wondering what the fuck that dude was thinking.

33

u/Jealous_Response_492 11h ago

Putin is absolutely loving this shit, the USA on it's knees before him, grovelling. On camera too. lol.

28

u/40StoryMech 11h ago

We could have helped Ukraine bury this dictator and instead we're kissing his ass. This is disgusting beyond words.

1

u/EremiticFerret 11h ago

People have been saying stuff like this for 4 years but none can explain how this would happen without something getting nuked.

3

u/jackflash223 11h ago edited 11h ago

You think if let’s just say the US deployed troops and equipment in Ukraine to protect the borders of Ukraine that Russia would throw nukes?

Russia would never nuke unless it was getting invaded because that is a guaranteed game-over scenario. It would simply stop the invasion of Ukraine.

The lack of a response from powerful allies has done nothing but shown that countries with nuclear weapons have power and those that don’t have none. It’s going to get a lot worse from here.

1

u/EremiticFerret 10h ago

I think what a lot of people are missing and has been deliberately obfuscated is that Russia sees US troops in Ukraine on the border as an existential threat.

Countries with nuclear weapons -do- have substantially more power than those without. The US made this clear in the last two+ decades.

3

u/jackflash223 10h ago

Of course they see it that way. The US would see it the same way if China had troops in Mexico and we were invading Mexico.

However, to nuke is to destroy your own country and an invading country can simply stop invading without being destroyed.

And yes everyone knows that countries with nuclear arms are more powerful. What they found out is even if you have allies with nuclear weapons it means nothing. All countries need to obtain nuclear arms to ensure their sovereignty that has now been made clear. I think Iran just learned this lesson as well.

I suspect all countries will now move to secure them which places the probability that they get used in the future higher than if an ally had stepped in.

0

u/EremiticFerret 10h ago

Oh, you think Russia would nuke the troops in Ukraine? No, I think they would likely say "If the West is going to destroy us, we will destroy the West." and be nuking Western capitals. Maybe a "warning shot" on Kiev, to show they're serious.

That is the thing that people should be concerned with but aren't.

And yes, this is all consequences from US imperialism. Everyone needs a nuke now.

2

u/jackflash223 10h ago

It’s all hypotheticals and predicting the actions of people is a fool’s game. However, nuking Ukraine especially with US troops in place is the least logical decision that could be made from any perspective. That would just guarantee their country which is currently intact since they aren’t being invaded is nuked in retaliation. It makes no sense.

1

u/f7f7z 10h ago

This is the signal he wanted, the midterms might be cooked. All in on cheating and whataboutisms.

1

u/CommonSenseInfinity 6h ago

Putin KNEW trump would be elected. Otherwise there’s no way he’s starting the invasion. And he knew Biden was too soft to do anything. Allies my a$$… from now on, anytime a republican is elected as president, other non-ahole led countries will be very hesitant to make any deals. I don’t blame them

1

u/Okoear 10h ago

I bet he is, but I don't think he is idiot enough to think this guy believe he is humanitarian.

8

u/sirlost33 11h ago

Nah, that’s how he gets treated in Russia. He’s happy as a pig in shit to have the US kissing his boots.

1

u/iconicimage 5h ago

Putin gave him the script.

17

u/Noobunaga86 11h ago

I bet he thinks that humanitarian is someone who eats humans, that's why he said that.

1

u/Exodys03 9h ago

That's the only explanation. A vegetarian eats vegetables. Humanitarians eat humans.

26

u/Otherwise-Reward-161 11h ago

YEAS, I HAM HUMANITARIAN. ALL RUSSIA IS HUMANITARIAN. VE HAF MOST HUMANITARIAN IN VORLD. - Putin, probably.

17

u/Imapatriothurrrdurrr 11h ago

If there’s one thing Putin isn’t, it’s stupid. He know exactly what he’s doing and he’s been successful at it so far.

6

u/Otherwise-Reward-161 10h ago

Oh agreed. He's nobody's fool but I do believe he's someone who believes that force and willpower will overcome inconvenient facts.

6

u/mikehiler2 1 10h ago

Get enough yes men surrounding you for so long, always whispering how right you are, and have enough time pass I’m sure it starts getting to your head. Look at Trump. You honestly think he thinks he’s the bad guy?

5

u/mmorales2270 9h ago

That is really a problem. If you go so long without anyone pushing back on you or correcting you, it’s easy when you have personalities like Trump or Putin to really believe you are the greatest thing that’s ever happened to the human race. All you hear from the sycophants around you is how awesome you are. It’s scary.

1

u/Otherwise-Reward-161 1h ago

I'd like some yes men to be assigned to me so I can do a science and find out

2

u/Silly-Afternoon3834 9h ago

It’s how he got where he is

1

u/onearmedbanditto 7h ago

He is not, he is thoroughly enjoying America bend so far as to salute him for the thing he is furthest from. That’s got to feel good. Imagine someone praising Tom Cruise for his height, Jay Z for his looks, or Putin for his humanitarian efforts.

2

u/Otaconmg 10h ago

He’s not stupid, but he has built a sycophantic leadership around him. His intel before the invasion must have been made of solid copium.

1

u/Rich-Detective478 10h ago

Come to Florida comrade .. war criminal. Jail.

1

u/SuspiciousBuilder379 9h ago

Yes, he isn’t dumb. Yes, dumb has a b in it. Who knew ?

Smart, manipulative, and dgaf about how many people suffer, for sure.

Too bad Trump and the cult don’t get it.

One thing I’d never call Putin is a humanitarian. Lmao

1

u/Disastrous-Row1429 2h ago

Putin's not stupid but trump is easily manipulated, so it's not surprising putin's been so successful.

1

u/grodudulle77 2h ago

Trump est stupide, contrairement a Poutine !!😬

1

u/Obvious_Estimate_266 11h ago

Are Russians the new Italians? There's probably more vaguely offensive comedy in that vein anyway

1

u/Otherwise-Reward-161 10h ago

If you read it out loud in a loud voice while doing a bad Russian accent it'll land better.

1

u/Obvious_Estimate_266 10h ago

Oh I did and it was funny

0

u/sidc42 11h ago

His English is impeccable.

1

u/Otherwise-Reward-161 10h ago

Idk, I've heard it's been pecked.

7

u/iamhmhdimobf 11h ago

Disgusting. Choosing to support Russia over Ukraine is only in Putin's interest.

4

u/NjxNaDxb 10h ago

They are choosing Putin over Americans...

1

u/throwawayaccountau 7h ago

No they are choosing diesel over the rest of the world.

3

u/mlorusso4 11h ago

Maybe the speech was originally written in Russian and this got lost in translation

2

u/eepos96 12h ago

Was he aware cameras were on?

1

u/Virtual_Ad_7431 11h ago

THATS WHAT THEY DO....

1

u/jott1293reddevil 11h ago

You ever hear the expression "flood the zone", this is an example. It costs nothing, but generates clicks, airtime and information overload fatigue. It eats up attention that might have gone to the more insidious actions you take.

1

u/PatrickDenStore 11h ago

When you realise that the US is Russia's little bitch boi and will do as told and say what's ordered it makes more sense.

1

u/Pure_Comfortable_84 11h ago

Putin is just trolling at this point. Making these pathetic sh*ts grovel at his feet.

1

u/_karamazov_ 11h ago

This just makes no sense whatsoever.

This makes sense only when we understand the gang who's running the country. They're wheeler dealers - they'll give a Nobel to Hitler if it made them money and help close a deal.

1

u/Small-Accountant-418 11h ago

It makes perfect sense. It’s public records that Trump asked Ukraine for dirt on opponents before previous elections and they didn’t obliged. Russia will, the price is support.

1

u/phantomreader42 11h ago

Do they understand the meaning of the word humanitarian?

Someone who eats people?

1

u/Pale-Wave-9382 11h ago

Have you not been paying attention for the past decade? They lie intentionally to make their sheep believe it. You just need to keep repeating it and it gets stuck in their empty heads like the fucking liberty bibberty jingles.

1

u/WayAdmirable150 11h ago

1

u/CryptographerLow6360 10h ago

maybe harder to nuke someone if they are told they are a humanitarian?

1

u/bobabeep62830 10h ago

There's a guy at work who "jokingly" calls me by the Russian version of my name. He also has called me a humanitarian behind my back, thinking it a disparagement. I mean, I'd love to be one, but that takes, ya know, real money. He also calls women talking to each other "clucking hens," has been heard ranting about " Muslims and communists" as if they're part of the same group, and thinks toxic masculinity is feminist propaganda. Funny thing is, when he was badly injured, I donated to his GoFundMe.

1

u/Queasy_Badger9252 10h ago

Oh my, politicians kissing each others asses. Never thought I'd see the day!

1

u/Flat-Jacket-9606 10h ago

Tbh Americans are starting to basically experience a glimpse of what state run media would be like.

1

u/Narrow_Book_42069 10h ago

They do and it’s intentional. They denigrate and degrade systems intentionally so they can fully capture them after breaking them. It’s deliberate and that simple.

1

u/Curious_Avocado2399 10h ago

Because Putin has the trumpstein files

Its called brown nosing.. or this would maybe be more like 'rimming and eating putins turds out of his anus'

1

Does Russia fund aid programs like the US does/did? Outta curiosity

1

u/Ecstatic_Skill_2523 10h ago

https://borgenproject.org/russias-foreign-aid/

As abhorrent as the nation is, this is probably a true statement. If you measure humanitarian by "dollars spent" , that is.

1

u/Echo_Romeo571 10h ago

Humanitarian, as in something whose diet consists mostly of humans.

1

u/Chimpstrider 10h ago

Pathetic sycophants can't help but suck up.

How utterly humiliating for the usa

1

u/ZeroVoltsGiven 10h ago

What I understand from translation is “how deep do you want me to suck?”

1

u/DE4DM4NSH4ND 9h ago

It's just to rub it in our faces. Trumps entire presidency has been one massive middle finger to middle class and poor Americans

1

u/kerfuffle_dood 9h ago

It makes perfect sense when you realize that all the Ukraine talk lately is because Trump is being forced into sucking lil Putin's dick. And Putin is demanding that's not enough. So Trump send one of his pawns to suck lil Putin's dick even harder.

1

u/cartken 9h ago

The first one to call wolf usually gets their way. People don't care anymore

1

u/Spooms2010 9h ago

But of course they lie… it’s the only face they allow to have printed about themselves. A hollow, smelly, dead face.

1

u/evaderofallbans 9h ago

They think it means human.

1

u/Fat-Mad-Scientist 9h ago

Warcrimes washing or something.

1

u/meatblast_surprise 9h ago

it's for Putin's dog and pony show within russia. That was meant entirely for his own constituents' eyes, which shows how much groveling the trump admin is doing for russia. The fact that you're seeing it is a side effect of putting on the public play for Russians.

1

u/Antique-Wonk 9h ago

I think I'm now in the twilight zone.

1

u/EvergreenDwarf 9h ago

A huge part of Russian Soviet propaganda, and increasingly all conservatives globally, is muddying the meaning of positive words so they can be used without meaning, and what they represented is thus equalized with any other generic positivity.

Thus you can praise someone’s record profits by saying they’re humble, or military brutality by saying they’re generous.

That not only provides cover for them in the present (General Yaddayadda could never commit a genocide, he’s always being praised for bridgebuilding!”) but also their legacy which is why people who begin a conversation by talking about how Stalin was evil and did everything fir himself will end it by saying he was kind and a defender.

1

u/1BaconMilkshake 9h ago

Because of the prisoner release? Are you not aware of the context?

1

u/ashleyriddell61 9h ago

Legends in their own minds.

1

u/mmorales2270 9h ago

They do go out of their way to tell lies. I’ve been noticing for a while now that their lies have become so insanely blatant that they must be doing them on purpose to taunt us, not even because there’s any value or purpose to the lies.

1

u/0202_tihssitidder 9h ago

"The Big Lie"

They always say the exact opposite. And literally they are instructed/trained to ONLY say lies. Everything they say MUST be a lie.

1

u/Prajnamarga 9h ago

This makes no sense... unless you have read 1984 by George Orwell. Then it makes perfect sense.

1

u/StaticSystemShock 9h ago

They are bunch of spineless ass lickers, that's why. Even dog shit on a side walk has more principles.

1

u/FirstTeamAllGrizz 8h ago

Yes, they are liars. People have to stop trying to relate these people to normal or decent people. They are criminals and evil.

1

u/Sombomombo 8h ago

Look the command was all the way to his base, he was just following orders.

1

u/Railboy 8h ago

The absurdity is the point. It shows that you're willing to debase yourself.

Imagine a slave kissing their masters' cystic acne and declaring how beautiful and smooth their skin is. Same energy.

1

u/heybart 8h ago

That is the point. Fascists demand you swallow their lies and repeat them. If you believe the lies, you're a useful idiot. If you don't believe but say it anyway, it means they've won. And if you refuse to say it, they destroy you.

1

u/mechant_papa 8h ago

There always is an element of this in diplomacy. As part of my work, I once had to write a short speech showing how Canada and Saudi Arabia had many things in common. We knew this was BS, but it was part of the diplomatic circus.

1

u/YouW0ntGetIt 8h ago

Maybe they think humanitarian is like vegetarian. Someone who eats humans.

1

u/Playingwithmywenis 8h ago

America will still tell you they are a superpower and the greatest country on earth.

LOL

1

u/sdkfz250xl 7h ago

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means"

1

u/Ensign-Nemo 7h ago

Trump believes this, Putin believes this. Most Russians believe this. Americans voted for Trump twice, last time with the majority of the votes.

That's what "humanitarian" looks like in Russian and America.

1

u/fantapants74 7h ago

We see the death daily. I'm sick of this American lie factory. Every day for a year, just bullshit from the orange clown and his prostitutes.

1

u/teeming-with-life 7h ago

Just look for and watch any of the "cabinet" meetings at the White House - it's DISGUSTING to what lenghts they all go to lick his arrears. I worked with some disgusting corporate bootlickers in the past, and it just boils my blood how despicable these people can be. Consider ALL of them are wealthy people, so they don't risk anything regular people would be afraid to lose - their comfort, their material well-being, anything like that.

Narcissists do attrach a certain kind of people - the kind I would NEVER want to be in the same room with.

1

u/specter_in_the_conch 7h ago

You clearly never had to suck so hard to keep your high paying job, and I commend you for that!

1

u/jjm443 7h ago

Putin gets praised as a "humanitarian" for releasing someone who was effectively held as a hostage, while Zelensky is constantly criticized by Trump and his idiots.

The humanitarian is the one who doesn't take hostages in the first fucking place! Nevermind the leader of a democracy under attack by an belligerent dictator of a sham democracy.

He is slobbering on Putee’s knob for whatever leverage or gain he’s after. You would think they’ve already learned it doesn’t work.

This is how politics works. It’s all about image, not actions.

When the lie is so big that it's obvious then the point of the lie isn't to deceive, it's to emphasize just how powerful the person being lied about or making the lie has. It's not about the lie, it's about making people say it even though they know it's not true. It's the equivalent of someone dumping a soda on your head and calling you a wuss because they know you won't do anything about it.

They believe they are always right and great. Trump really believes he deserves the Nobel peace prize

This is what the bootlickers and cronies to the dictators do. They rain compliments on them. hey usually have to go down a checklist of such compliments, depending on what the dictator is angry and focused on that particular day.

The cronies have advisors (stage directors) before they go on, telling them topics to avoid or things to mention.

There is a big propaganda point in Russia that "we're not fighting at our full strength", like they are only using 10% of their power as a "mercy" thing, and that Putin could unleash the full 100% whenever he wanted, but he simply chooses not to. So from ordinary russians you can often hear stuff like "we should stop going so easy on them". In that kind of twisted reality it's possible to imagine Putin as a "humanitarian" who is deliberately holding back his military powers out of "mercy".

That's probably the story Putins tells Trump, and why Trump and his lapdogs believe him to be a humanitarian.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

It is weird that they choose the exact opposite of the things they represent. Maybe he could've said that he was a proponent for going green and the environment. Or his economy in Russia.

That would've been less revolting. But no, they had to choose one of the most revolting topics. One that we all know is a lie. What is the point to these people?
