Other Reddit is my TikTok and it’s bad
We all hear about how addicted people are to TikTok nowadays. Well, Reddit is my TikTok.
I catch myself opening this app every 5 minutes like something important happened. Half the time I’m just reading random posts and comments.

Meme Does anyone else remember this book?
It was read to me in the third grade. Gave me nightmares forever. Anyone else?

Meme It was still common when we grew up, right?
I don't think I could live with myself if I did it to my own kid these days, to be honest

Nostalgia The Brave Little Toaster is such a different movie as an adult
When I was little I remember being so upset with Toaster for leaving that flower that was so lonely. "Why did Toaster do that?!" I would think, angrily. As an adult, I see that Toaster was very broken up about it and was just trying to hide and not get overwhelmed by all the animals.

Discussion Guess the year of the yearbook!
Two different yearbooks, both from the same year. First four photos are from a school in Glendale, AZ. Last four photos are from a school in Martinsville, IN. I know this might lean more toward older millennials but still fun.
I'll share the answer later!
Edit: ANSWER IS 1997!

Serious Is anyone else just like… really lonely?
Is this a thing in your 40s? Between driving kids around and a toxic hybrid job where nobody is really “friends” the way I’ve had in the past, I feel like I have very little social interaction these days. My best friend lives far away, my local friends are constantly overscheduled, and my poor husband can only satisfy so much.
Is this happening to anyone else?

Discussion What movies legitimately freaked you out as a kid?
For me it was these two. I was 9 when The Sixth Sense came out and 12 when The Ring did. My parents let me watch both and they both messed me up pretty good. Certain moments from the Sixth Sense still make my skin crawl as an adult remembering the childhood trauma lol (the kitchen scene). What’re the movies that got to you as a kid? Happy spooky season everybody!

Discussion Is everyone driving with their brights on or are my eyes just changing?
I have noticed a huge uptick in the last year or so of "idiots driving with their high beams on," frequently blinding me from front or back.
It's been so often now that I'm starting to question if its just me. Like my eyes are getting worse at night vision because I'm old now.
Yeah?

Discussion How have you felt about being a "later in life" parent?
As a many millennials, I had my kids in my 30s (33 +35) perhaps slightly on the older side of the new normal. Compareitvely, my parents were very young just 23 for my birth.
It blows my mind, how quickly the norms changed.
I often find myself doing milestone math, when kid is 10 il be 45 etc which I find really hard. I wonder if perhaps being a young parent was really the better choice all along...
How's everyone else doing with being 30 and 40s with young kids. What do you think about the age you became a parent?

Nostalgia 20-Year Reunion Video Segment. (2002-2006)
I made a 20-minute video full of footage I found on old Hi8 tapes to show at my 20-year reunion.
If you were in high school between 2002-2006 this might feel familiar

Discussion Is it that time already?
I just turned 40. I went to a new gym last night and did a class. After the class, the coach (who could have been anywhere like 25 to early 30s) was super nice and chatty and asked me about my fitness goals. I said "well, I just turned 40..." and was about to talk about how I want to ramp up my fitness to honor the milestone and I got interrupted with, "40?? You look great!!"
Now I'm wondering if he was early 20s. Was not expecting that response. Anyone else fell it's a bit premature?
