No one noticed because it was on a middle shelf in the back and turned black.

I spent over 20 hours prepping, sanding, and painting my front steps while the weather is still good before winter, including taking two afternoons off work to get the job done before it's too cold. I just finished the job this afternoon and the paint is still tacky.

There is a long strip of painters tape attached to a paint can very obviously blocking off the stairs when you're facing it.

I have NO Halloween decorations up yet either.

Edit: for everyone saying it's not enough or my tape job is shit, it's like a 45 degree angle across the steps, and it's not a construction zone, it's my house. If you walked up to a piece of tape blocking your path at a residence where you weren't invited, you would probably at least second guess whether you should be proceeding forward. Thankfully, it's mostly dry and there is no need for rework as far as I can tell. That's what makes it mildly infuriating. He COULD have done damage, but it doesn't look like he did.

Edit 2: this is also not a common occurrence. I get MAYBE one knock a month on my door unsolicited. It just unfortunately happened to be the one day I had painted. It wasn't an expected situation. This was a mere just in case measure. Small town Canada.

Yes $3 isn’t a lot of money, but it’s way more than what a single hashbrown is worth.

throw back to when i ordered grubhub at 6am before work because i didn’t have time to cook before i left the house and wanted to take it with me. came downstairs to grab it since i had roommates and i didn’t wanna wake them in case they rang the door bell. driver asked me if i was eating alone and what i was up to, and then stared at me as i was going back up the stairs🙃. then checked my phone and got this message.

Edit: To answer "Why McDonald's?" Every time I travel outside of the United States, I like to compare McDonald's from that country and see if the quality is indeed better.

Normally I really appreciate getting free things but in this case it’s a live animal and I really don’t want one/can’t have one because my tank is too small to sustain one, it’s only 5 gallons and I wanted just cherry shrimp and ramshorns (they’re my favorite snail), now I have to go and try to give this snail away to local fish shops.

The wall it’s installed into, is about 2cm thick. Judging from the length and size of the plugs, I think they’re supposed to be installed into something more substantial.

So I hired a car in Okinawa and, while reverse parking at Ryukyu Glass Village, accidentally touched a tiny concrete boundary wall. My fault.

Speed: approximately 1 km/h. Damage: a scratch on the bumper. Nothing else was damaged.

I called the number in the rental agreement and reported it. Insurance sorted, no problem. Except I'm also required to report it to the police by calling 110.

So I call 110, only to be told I must return to the scene of the accident because the police need to attend and investigate.

For context, the incident happened in a car park, involved nobody but me and a concrete wall, and caused a scratch on the rental car.

Ryukyu Glass Village is an hour's drive away.

Apparently, the bureaucracy and a concrete wall have won, and I'm now facing a two-hour round trip, plus wait time for the cops to attend, for a 1 km/h collision.

Sigh.

They wrote this note on a filthy used paper towel and left it on my windshield.

In case you can’t read it, it says “I try to park away from other vehicles. I can’t understand why you would park next to me where there are tons of spots open”.

The parking spot in question was located in a public parking area right next to a busy entrance to a public multipurpose path.

I feel they should have the AWARENESS not to leave garbage on my car.

With one ui 8 samsung removed the option which gives us ability to unlock oem. In simple terms if we have oem unlocking we can later intall some custom roms after unlocking the bootloader until one ui 7 like most of the other androids. This made the custom rom community for samsung devices almost die. All we can do is trying to get samsung attention and make them bring back oem unlocking.
