The parking spot in question was located in a public parking area right next to a busy entrance to a public multipurpose path.

My roommate refuses to work. She has her days off free and clear because I actually go to work like an adult. I work in a fast paced firm and she has a chill job in our local library. She says she is stressed and gets these eye aches so she calls out on days off I have with my boyfriend at the apartment. Says her job is stressful. Says her eyes hurt so bad that she can't work but will spend that entire day she called off on video games and drinks.

If I work late, an extra day, or offer to take a holiday shift for a coworker with kids, she tries to rub it in: "Ohmygod that sucks. That's awful. It's Halloween! Doesn't it make you mad that he asked you to work for him?" Like, no. I am an adult in my 30s. I don't go trick or treating lol. My coworker's CHILD does and my coworker should be there for the child. My roommate says, "I wouldn't cover anyone. Their kids, their problem. Don't have kids and expect holidays off just because you have kids." Like girl you expect people to cover you for your fake ass eye pain. Gtfo.

Let me add that she calls off 1-2 times per week, yells at her games at midnight when I am trying to sleep, throws her dogs toys down the apartment hall by my room when I am sleeping at night and the dog chases them and falls into my door. Doesn't ask if her guests can use MY bathroom (hers is not clean).

All this to say that I hate lazy bums.

Like people who say I do such and such for a living but then it’s actually like 3 hours a week or sporadic gigs ? SMH I feel like this is very normalized in LA . It’s not the fact that they don’t need to work that is particularly bothersome but that they put on an impression that this is how they supplement their lifestyle when it’s actually largely inflated. For the people who work hard , it kinda feels disingenuous. My main thing is people who purposely hide that they are getting support but still want to have the title of a a job when it’s minimal effort on their part.

Edit: I’m referring to people who give unsolicited advice and also judge others for having menial jobs because what they “do” is more glamorous . It just comes off as kinda ego centric

For the past 5 or so deliveries. My package hasnt been brought to my door. It's not even heavy packages, it's just small stuff. My last delivery was left outside my apartment building and the package wasn't even in the photo, they just took a picture of the apartment building. And yes, I have detailed instructions on which apartment is mine since the numbers are kinda wonky in this building.

I have to wait 45 minutes outside for the next class now...

All of the crosswalks in my neighborhood point to the center of the intersection instead of directly across the street. So irritating for those with strollers/wheelchairs.

I live in California, so the summers are like stepping into an oven, so I can’t walk then. Now it’s finally cool outside, and here come the leaf blowers, four days in a row, ALL DAY LONG.

I just want to go outside and sit on a bench, or go for a walk. I pay so much rent, and I can’t even enjoy the goddamn property. Not to mention, these asshats blow everything under my balcony walls and all over my patio furniture so I can’t even sit out there without cleaning a bunch beforehand.

Edit to explain: I was doing work on my car and had to run inside to grab something from my basement. My front door leads to my living room which is carpeted, and then we go into the kitchen which is the bare floor.

I don’t really want to debate Mac vs PC but honestly guys it’s not even close anymore. Why does my $1500 work computer (PC) die in 2-3 hours of using excel? My M1 MacBook Air from 6 years ago can go all day on battery doing more intensive tasks. Why is Microsoft office suite so buggy? Why can’t I just restart my computer? Why must it update all the time?

I’m trying to find a file and the search option returns no searches. So I decide hey I’ll just restart my computer well now it’s updating?

No joke I have to finish my workday on my Mac because my work PC sucks.
