No Paywall Trump Official Bluntly Tells Americans To Change Their Diet If Beef Prices Are Too High

Wait, wasn’t it democrats that were supposed to be taking our beef away?
4.8k
u/PhazePyre 29d ago
Things Democrats were supposed to do but Republicans actually did it:
- Took away rights (Roe v Wade)
- Worsened the economy
- Sexually abused and exploited children and protect those that did
- Install an authoritarian regime
- Start a war
- Suppress freedom of speech (which can be attributed to the first bullet, but it's a whole thing now so I figured it was worth keeping separate)
- Bring in their corrupt friends and make it a swamp.

'They [Democrats] want to tell you what kind of car you can drive, what sources of information are credible, and even how many hamburgers you can eat.'
Mitch McConnell, Aug 28, 2020
Today Republicans are telling us that we can only buy cars that are made in America and are obstructing electric vehicles, CNN/MSNOW are banned from the White House because Trump doesn't feel they're credible, and the AgSec says don't eat hamburgers if you can't afford the higher beef prices we caused.

This was always the plan: Run on fixing everything, then say everything was fixed, and call anyone saying that's not true a hater, unpatriotic, fake, the cause of the problems, or not trying hard enough.
This last decade of politics has been defined by feelings over fact, and siding with feelings when the two collide. It's proven that there are people who will watch the world around them crumble before admitting they were wrong, and we're seeing and living the consequences.

Let’s play my favorite game!
“What if Obama said this?”
Remember when President Obama suggested that we should strive to send all children to college, and Rick Santorum (along with other Republicans) called him a “snob” because how dare he!
Remember when Michelle Obama planted a little garden at the White House and encouraged others to do the same and eat healthier? No mandates. No executive orders. The FDA didn’t kick in anyone’s door—she just planted a garden and did typical, boring, belongs-on-a-morning-show First Lady stuff, but the Republicans lost their minds and accused her of trying to dictate the diets of American citizens.
These were the same Republicans who’d encouraged the Obamas to plant a garden when they first entered the White House. What? You don’t remember the memes of a watermelon garden at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue that were shared by multiple Republicans on social media? Was that not a request for a garden? They told us it wasn’t racist, so I guess I just assumed they wanted a nice garden. I’m confused!
Fucking racist assholes.
Now, we have a president who drove up the price of beef because he wanted to give his former business associate—who now happens to be the leader of Argentina—a sweet deal on Argentinian beef imports, and that same president is telling Americans to go fuck themselves if they don’t like it.
This is how dictators act. They do as they please, and the moment you express disappointment with one of their policies or the way it plays out, even if you’ve sold your soul to support them, they turn on you—and you become an enemy.
That’s what you are now, American Farmer. You’re his enemy. You sold your soul to support this clown and his party—despite neither Trump nor Republicans ever supporting family farms—and now you’re unhappy, but you can’t say anything because your emperor will turn on you.
Enjoy it. I know I am. Vote better next time, you bunch of fucking idiots. Your livestock has more brains than most of you.

Christmas too expensive? Buy fewer presents.
Food too expensive? Eat less.
Gas and electricity too expensive? Drive less and watch less tv.
But above all, everything is Biden's and Obama's fault!

It seems like there are four Republican responses to problems:
"The problem isn't actually happening."
"The problem is happening, but it's actually a good thing."
"The problem is happening, but it's all Biden/Obama/Hillary/Democrats' fault."
"The problem is happening, but fuck you, we're not going to do anything about it, because we know that no matter what we do, there's no way in hell our voters will elect a Democrat."
It's straight out of The Narcissist's Prayer.

I mean we switched out ground beef for turkey for health reasons and it's saved us money so far.

Suggesting people cut back on our eliminate meat in their diet for the good of the climate? Unacceptable communist tyranny!
Snidely telling people to just eat something else if they can't afford what was once an affordable staple, due to their own dogshit policy decisions? Praise Trump regardless and pivot to blaming liberals or the current culture war talking points.
