What I have been seeing is that MAGA is all projection. They are awful people with awful thoughts, and they think everyone thinks the same way they do. They are giving themselves permission to be the awful people they truly are by deluding themselves into thinking everyone is like that.

Projection and a worldview that sees everything as a zero sum game.

They're the ones who ask atheists why they don't just kill people, because "god" is the only reason they don't.

I had a friend who accused another friend of always stealing CDs from him and warned me all the time not to lend this dude anything and be careful when he's over my house because he'll try to steal something.

I'm sure you know where this is going, the friend who made the accusation was the one stealing from everybody. He just wanted the rest of us to look at the other friend so we wouldn't suspect him.

It’s because the conservative mind set is based on the assumption that everyone else is going to do the bad thing so they might as well too, but it’s ok when they do it because its just leveling the playing field and they are on the “good” side so they are doing it for good, unlike those OTHERS doing it for selfish powergrabs

My thinking is that they lack the imagination to make anything up, so they can only write what they know.

It's a strategy. Blame others, so when you do it it looks like the opposition is just saying "no, you", which feels like a stupid argument.

Because it's intentional, not coincidental.
