94

Try shrooms! Do it for me 😂

59

u/gilligan1050 Aug 24 '26

Yup, I became one with the wood floor while watching dark side of the rainbow.

52

u/Spiffy-Kujira Aug 24 '26

Bruh, my first time on shrooms I looked down at the floor and became so enthralled with the pattern and how it was moving that I bent down and got so close to look at it that when I came back up my mouth was full of lint and pet hair. I then went and melted into the bed and became moss.

Great time, honestly.

u/StrobeLightRomance Millennial Aug 24 '26

My first time I was outside in summer. I was grooving out, watching clouds, and then a plane went by.

Then it happened, visually, my brain zoomed in on the airplane and I could see all their little panicked faces..

They were about to be eaten alive by a cloud! The cloud opened its mouth, swallowed the airplane whole, and then turned into the devil just to mock me.

My girlfriend at the time couldn't see it.. she just kept asking me if I could stop farting while I was crying.

Indica = in da couch

22

u/Agreeable-Outcome-14 Aug 24 '26

First time it happened to me I asked someone more experienced, "what's it called when you're so high you're like couchlocked?" Awhile later I understood why he only got a good laugh without answering

17

u/Z0mbiejay Aug 24 '26

I remember the first time I smoked some dispensary grade indica. I've smoked a few times before but it was always street weed, and it's been a few years. I forgot I had arms

10

u/Cosmo_Seinfeld Aug 24 '26

Awhile later

Felt like 1-2 hours later but maybe it was only 30 seconds.

3

u/Agreeable-Outcome-14 Aug 24 '26

HA yeah that time dilation

3

u/FEARoach Aug 25 '26

Man, one minute it's a minute ago, the next minute it's three hours later... I get that without weed but it sure feels better with it.

6

u/Careless-Passion991 Aug 24 '26

“I need the strongest Indica you have. I want to feel like I’m melting in between the cushions of the couch.”

What DARE didn't tell us was that drugs are expensive and hardly anyone is just handing them out

3

u/PM_ME_UR_CATS_TITS Aug 24 '26

It's actually the cheapest thing ever and grows on trees

5

u/NeuxSaed Aug 24 '26

Kratom is the only common recreational drug that actually comes from a tree.

Opium poppies, coca plants, and cannabis flowers, etc. aren't trees.

There are technically a few others that come from trees, but they're not very popular by comparison.

3

u/zatalak Aug 25 '26

MDMA from sassafras trees, but it's a little far fetched

2

u/Uncle-Cake Aug 24 '26

That's one of the reasons D.A.R.E. programs backfired. When kids who were in the program later learned that parts of it were total BS, they questioned everything they learned there and ended up MORE likely to use drugs.

11

u/HallowskulledHorror Aug 24 '26 edited Aug 24 '26

The war on drugs prepared child-me for a world filled with queer, satanic, DnD playing witches passing out free drugs like candy.

When I reached adulthood and was sorely disappointed by the lack of this archetype, I became the change I wished to see in the world.

edit: also, just speaking from personal experience - people will definitely just offer you free drugs if you're in the right place at the right time and have the right vibes.

6

u/caliber1077 Aug 24 '26

Remember kids, if someone offers you free drugs, you take them because drugs are expensive.

4

u/Happy-Aardvark-7677 Aug 24 '26

I was offered more times than I can recall. People don’t like to smoke joints alone and they try to rope other people into it and sometimes they are very pushy.

I’m not anti drug. It’s legal where I live. But free hits off a joint are probably the universal gateway experience.

12

u/pew_pew420420 Aug 24 '26

I didnt know you like to get wet

9

u/FEIKMAN Aug 24 '26

I think youre hanging out with the wrong people.

Everyone I know who smokes has never been pushy to people who dont smoke. Its quite the opposite.

If we are out and around other people and someone sparks one - if you want, you smoke, thats it.

Most realistic PSA of them all. People just don't like being in close proximity of smokers if you wanna hook up with someone the cigarette habit will probably be your biggest cockblock.

2

u/Stunt_-_Cock Aug 25 '26

Very true. Only reason I don't care is that I used to smoke, so it's a nostalgia thing for me.

(But, deep down I do wonder how much you care about yourself if you still smoke in 202X and that adds long term questions to the equation.)

I don't really smoke no but i do edibles instead but very low dosage. It doesn't take much to get me buzzed. Im talking 0.5mg would give me a light high. I've tried a bit more like 1.5mg and I genuinely forgot 3 hours in the day and ended up fighting waves of anxiety. But I try and take like once a week. Since the edibles last so long i really space out when i take it. Mostly on weekends when im home though.

2

u/LiveFastDieFast Aug 25 '26

I hear ya on that, weed anxiety is weird. Way back in the day I smoked daily, like full stoner status. Then all of a sudden one day it just started to give me gnarly anxiety. Eventually ended up quitting cuz there was no chance of getting back to a nice chill mellow high. Miss it for sure, but prolly for the better I guess lol

TN banned THC products.

But they got dem liquor sales.

Alcohol DESTROYED my life and my health.

Weed makes me want to sing, and eat good food.

Alcohol sent me to a path where I was throwing up pure black bile into a bag, but I had thrown up so much there was no gag, just muscle control as the shit slid into the bag.

Weed may have fucked up my memory, but I've never had good memory.

I know THC is iffy for those with mental health disorders, or schizophrenia.

My father was a diagnosed schizophrenic. Be abused alcohol, and drugs.

He was a raging alcoholic.

He was a little less so when he had weed.

And when I was younger? I lumped weed with all of his other vices, they were all bad... But I was stupid back then.

I'm still fucking stupid.

But I know it wasn't weed that caused the violence. It was ALWAYS the alcohol.

Editing to add:

January 24th, 2023 was my last drink. I still smoke weed when I can. But my life has been so much better without alcohol.

11

u/Great_Corner4841 Aug 24 '26

Omfg....

So back in december the doctor was like "you have high blood pressure and high cholesterol"

They slapped me with bp and cholesterol meds.

Im doing a dab and the wife goes "you know that effects your blood pressure..."

Fine, whatever fuck life... i quit eating salty, sugar, fatty foods and quit smoking cause now my goal is to not be on blood pressure meds or a statin.

Then sometime in february or march im cleaning up, i find some gummies and think these ain't shit... i never get a head change from gummies.

Before stopping i could eat 200, 300, 400mg and nothing...

So i eat whatever is in the bag like 100mg in one sitting expecting nothing to happen.

Oh no... not this time... i was dehydrated, haven't eaten since the day before and a hour later i though i was having a stroke.

And turned into the girl in this commercial... fuck way up out of my mind.

And now i dont like smoking anymore, don't enjoy the high like i use to.

I guess on the bright side i have a lot of disposable income now that im not blowing $500+/month on concentrates.

15

u/Ice_Cream_Killer Aug 24 '26

Funny enough, THIS is how I felt after I was prescribed opioids after a surgery I had a decade ago. A completely legal drug from a doctor. I would wake up and pop a pill to take away the pain, smoke a cigarette and just relax in my office chair for the next 3-4 hours doing nothing but watch videos. It felt so relaxing. Just taking deep breaths felt amazing.

After a while I realized I was getting addicted, so I started smoking weed again to break my addiction. I smoked so much weed that it curved my addiction for the pills after I healed up and didnt experience pain anymore. Weed even helped me stop smoking cigarettes, and then I stopped smoking weed. That's when I realized these ads were bs propaganda, because weed never made me feel as worthless and dangerously relaxed as those pills did. I could feel how easy it was to overdose because your muscles could become too relaxed to function properly.

2

u/NAbberman Aug 24 '26

Recently had a THC infused drink over the weekend, I've just learned I don't think THC is for me. I had a similar experience to the pic and I will say, not enjoyble. Couldn't keep a coherent sentence in my head, barely could walk, and just felt on the edge of feeling queasy and not. Probably was the dose amount, but didn't notice anything after trying a 50 mg version.

I'm pretty sober on most everything else, probably didn't help doing 100 mg. More power to people who like it, I just don't think its for me.

2

u/redbone74 Aug 24 '26

Have you tried just smoking? Eating/drinking it is a much more intense experience for me. I smoked daily for 10 years took a break and then had a few gummies one night by myself. Had a full on breakdown that left me feeling like shit for months. I have never had that feeling while smoking. I will partake in lsd/mushrooms/molly pretty much anything nowadays but I absolutely will not eat edible cannabis lol.

2

u/NAbberman Aug 24 '26

Don't really have an interest in smoking. The canned drink was more of a whim. Its not like its something I need/desire. For it only being one can, nearly my entire Saturday was just shot. That stuff sure takes a while to leave the system. Nothing like alcohol.

2

u/redbone74 Aug 25 '26

Yeah its understandable if you don't want to smoke. However it definitely doesn't last as long as eating it does. Probably 1-2 hours instead of the 4-5 from eating it.

Yeah, this is the one I remember most.

I liked the one of the kid making a cocoon of bud then emerges a pot-bellied middle aged guy. One of the biggest draw backs is complacency, being fine with being bored. It's ok when you're winding down on a Friday night, but it's easy to fall into a spiral of doing nothing.

I think you're right on both accounts. I overused thc and it seriously negatively impacted my life. It was easier quitting drinking than THC - I think because socially we're told you can't get addicted to weed, can't OD on weed, so it's supposed to be "safe". Maybe it is for some people, but it certainly wasn't for me.

everyone gets hung up on different stuff, the nice part about getting older is knowing your terrain

u/BlackQuartzJudgement Aug 24 '26

When I tell you that's the goal instead of something to be avoided lmao

I said oh word?? Becky ain't just in da couch, Becky IS da couch lmao

I saw this and thought I was high

3

u/cocky-rountains Aug 24 '26

I'm pretty sure I've gotten more free coke than weed in my life.

3

u/SaltyMeatSlacks Aug 24 '26

This is why I did drugs. Been a life long goal of mine to be boneless. Imagine a world of no back pain.

3

u/ApplebeesDinnerMenu Aug 24 '26

The real problem was / is coke. But they wouldn't attack everyone's favorite substance

3

u/Mother-Attention2600 Aug 24 '26

I saw this while high. The people who made these PSA's had to be doing community service work for a drug crime. They were mostly hilarious and total bullshit. I remember in 2001 Time Magazine telling me MDMA would give me holes in my brain. Still doing MDMA. No holes.

Indica is short for in da couch

“Oh, now I’m messed up too.”

3

u/IamScottGable Aug 24 '26

It took me twenty years of daily smoking to become that flat bitch.

3

u/Great_Corner4841 Aug 24 '26

I sincerely wish I never smoked. It stole years of my life and I was convinced I needed it to enhance artistic experiences. I'm not saying no one should consume thc, but maybe consider what it's really doing for you.

We’d literally smoke and pull this commercial up to laugh our asses off about it

I recently developed CHS (Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome), which causes uncontrollable scream vomiting, also known as "scromiting" that no anti-nausea meds will stop. Apparently, you need an antipsychotic, but technically it's off label so good luck getting a hospital to actual give you any, and I ended up vomiting blood since I was retching so violently I tore my esophagus.
Had I known THAT was possible, yeah maybe I would never had consumed something I thought was "harmless".

It’s been 15 years and I’m still waiting for my blowup doll.

u/Evilton Aug 24 '26

I saw this and got high.

u/Goyangi-ssi Aug 24 '26

🎶I saw this PSA, and still I got high

1

u/Pearson94 Millennial Aug 24 '26

But did you miss your grandma's birthday and tell her it was because you were busy getting high?!

1

u/smellygooch18 Aug 24 '26

I wish I can get this high still. My tolerance is too high to become deflated couch person. I remember those days fondly

And I’ve been disappointed ever since that this never happened to me
