How about razor blades?

I remember one Halloween as a kid trick or treating with my friends and our parents trailing along. After one of the houses we hit, my friend hands his dad one of those little Kit Kat bars and asks him to check it for a razor blade.

His dad takes it, unwraps it in front of all of us and in one bite takes about 90% of it before handing the little remaining piece back to him. With a mouthful of Kit Kat he just mumbles, "No razor blades in that one, buddy".

My friend was so pissed and we all laughed at him. Never asked that question again.

He was a very safety-conscious child

Overly. To the point of his dad making such a point.
