[MINI FAQ] Do I have to be a woman to participate here? What about the subreddit name? What about trans women? What are the rules, anyway?
Do I have to be a woman to participate in this community?
No. Any user who can follow the rules is welcome here. Women, men, nonbinary, agender, genderqueer, cis folks and trans folks, everybody. If you're not on board with that, you can fuck right off.
But what about the subreddit name?
Read this post from when 2XC was only a month old. We haven't changed our stance since then, and never will.
What about trans women?
Trans women are women. TERFS can fuck right off.
What are the rules, anyway?
TL;DR: Keep it civil, keep it relevant. Don't start shit, won't be shit.
You can find the rules in the sidebar (community info for mobile users), or here's a direct link: 2XC Rules
Most moderator actions are the result of users breaking Rule 1: RESPECT. If you keep Wheaton's Law* in mind and participate in good faith, you'll probably never hear from the mod team.
*Wheaton's Law: Don't be a dick.
For more in-depth interpretations of the rules above, see the 2XC FAQ and 2XC Moderation Policy.
Wow that's awesome! How do I volunteer to join the mod team?
FAQs and the application process can be found in our wiki. We're always looking for more volunteers.

Women only New Subreddit Post Flairs
Hi everyone,
We're rolling out new post flairs, and a new rule to go along with them.
Something that's clear to many of our members but less clear to many of our visitors is that this is a subreddit for women's perspectives. That's been enforced in the past under rule 4 (relevance) or rule 1 (respect) depending on the context, but when the rules were originally developed Reddit was different and more explicit rules weren't needed to keep the subreddit on track. These flairs will make it easier to report, easier to moderate, and most importantly easier for people to see immediately what's expected of themselves and of others.
Rule 6: Post Flair requires everyone commenting to obey the post flair. Please help us out in enforcing this new rule by reporting using "disobeys post flair" as the reason, and not responding to any comments you think don't obey this rule.
We have three new post flairs:
Women only - for women
No cis men - for anyone who isn't a cis man
Direct personal experience only - for direct personal experience, not your experience observing others go through something
Men may continue to comment in posts without flair, but only if their comments are relelvant and respectful, and do not simply dismiss, minimize or derail the comments of others (which is aligned with how they were always permitted to participate). This may be adjusted in the future.
There were many suggestions of gender flair for users and post flairs restricting who can participate, something that other subs have used successfully but make the sub less accessible to new or less technology-literate members. For now, we are going to explore whether this lighter touch (and lighter update to our existing moderator workload and automod) shifts things in the right direction.
Expect references to the rules to be updated to include Rule 6 over the next week or two because the rules are referenced in a variety of non-linked locations right now.
We'll set up a feedback post in two weeks. Until then please hold your feedback as we try out this update to allow others develop their own perspective of whether it's helping, unless something seems broken in which case please send us a modmail.

I think I experienced micro-feminism today? š
Today I had to go to a mandatory work event and met with a male friend who also works there. We are going booth to booth to receive information about company policy and things. When we go to one booth the woman starts speaking to us and I notice it feels like she is looking at me a lot when speaking rather than both of us. But then I realize that despite a male presence standing by my side she is mainly addressing this information to me! I guess I am more used to anyone addressing the man first and making more eye contact with them kind of like I'm a second thought u know. E.g. if you're married and ask for someone to fix your house up, the maintenance person mainly addresses the "man of the house" even if the woman called about it.
That is my little joy of the day hehe. I know it could've been a coincidence but it felt intentional in a good way.

Angry at how men who commit domestic violence are treated NSFW
A friend was shot by her long time boyfriend, who then killed himself when the police arrived. She thankfully survived, has undergone surgery, and is recovering. They have two small children.
People are posting how sweet he was, how he had a hard time in life but loved his family, how heāll be deeply missed. All the while sheās fighting for her life in the hospital because of what he did.
Iām so angry for her and her children and her family for having to see him glorified all over social media. It wasnāt a secret what he did. Heās been arrested before and had police out for domestic violence. Weāve tried so many times to get her away, but he always lured her back.
Itās not fair. No mention of her in these posts. No consideration for the victim in this scenario.
Fuck him.

Petite women's clothing is not actually for Petite women
I'm short about 5'1ft (155cm) and found that petite clothing is still a fair bit too long. I consider myself the taller size of short.
Petite clothing is made for those around 5'3-5'4ft (160 -163cm) which in places like the UK and US is average height. That is not petite it is just clothes made to fit the general public...
It really annoys me that clothes are so ill suited for women that the brands for short women are actually for the average person. Not to mention they do not make the wait shorter so if I want something height waisted it ends just under my boobs š.
Why does women clothing suck for everyone...

Women only We need to have higher standards for the men we allow in our lives.
I keep on seeing these heartbreaking posts where women are trying to make a relationship work with a man who actively dislikes them.
If he calls you names, break up with him.
If he eats all your food even you've meal prepped or made something special or labeled it as yours, break up with him.
If he talks down about your friends or family or fashion, break up with him.
I know it's "easier said than done", but these men aren't just mistreating you. They're eating you alive. Bit by bit, you're being consumed by this man and it'll continue until you're but a shell of who you once were.
Don't settle for a man who says that he'd die for you or kill for you. Men need no inspiration to take the violent route - enacting violence in your name is just an excuse to be violent.
Would he get a c-pap machine to deal with his snoring for you?
Would he notice that you're almost out of face wash and buy some more for you?
Would he go into that girly, expensive store you wanted to visit and not complain to you?
Would he celebrate your special days in ways that made you feel special?
Don't settle for someone who actively dislikes you. There will be someone out there who is excited by your presence and company wants to do these things.
You all deserve to be happy.

I Read The Cornell Texts To The Victim And It Hits Differently
ossiana.substack.comHello everyone, I stumbled upon someone posting about the Cornell incident a couple weeks back and came onto a substance they posted and while what happened is a tragedy, I want to know what opinions and perspective yall see in this.
I see they are very clean cut to what they see it as and how they view it and wonder if most think the same and if not why.

Why is āfeministā considered a bad word in some circles?
So I recently moved to a small town with less than 1,000 people in it. I have a son who is 1 that I stay home with and weāve been looking to make new friends. For the record, I have literally never lived in a place this small or rural before, Iām from a large city in the U.S. and have also lived in various large European capital cities before. I already knew moving here that I would most likely run into way more conservative people than I typically do, but this one threw me off a bit.
I met another mom friend at a library story time and hit it off. We decided to meet up after the next story time and take our kids for a walk together. While we were walking we were getting to know each other and then she started sharing her birth story. She really highlighted several times how she didnāt feel supported or listened to at all from her male doctors during pregnancy and labor, how she had some retained placenta after giving birth but her doctor wouldnāt listen until her husband stepped in (she was mad about that), how she got a DNC to remove it, and how generally life with a baby is unfair bc we as women are expected to do so much more.
She then apologized at complaining so much so I jumped in and said āhey donāt worry about it, Iām a feminist too believe in womenās rights and that the medical system sucks as a woman.ā Then I shared how my doctors didnāt listen to me after I gave birth and had an infection (that would have turned deadly had I not insisted on some tests).
She VISIBLY cringed when the word feminist left my mouth, and after this little section of conversation the vibe was SO off. I guess I just assumed since she was very obviously complaining about inequalities she experienced due to her gender, that she also would be a feminist? Idk. Should I avoid saying that if I want to make friends here? It feels wrong to just pretend Iām not but weāre āstuckā in this town for the next few years and I would like to have some friends.

Vivek Ramaswamy launches $4 million ad campaign of controversial video featuring Amy Actonās estranged mother (who remained with Acton's abuser)
edition.cnn.comSorry for editorialising the title, but this has to be one of the most evil moves by a political campaign I've seen.
Acton (gubernatorial candidate for Ohio) was sexually abused when she was twelve by a paedophile who her mother remained supportive of and married to, even after the abuser was convicted and sent to prison for his crimes.
Ramaswarmy is now using her mother's words against Acton in an attack ad.
Like, if there is any good in the world then this will sink Ramaswarmy's campaign and he'll never be heard from again

Girls Start Receiving More Prescription Drugs Around Age 14 in Finland ā Similar Pattern Found in UK Study
humanumi.comA nationwide Finnish study of more than 1.3 million children found that boys received more prescription medicines in childhood, but the pattern reversed during adolescence.
By age 17, girls had 70% more pharmacy dispensations than boys in 2025.
What do you think might explain the reversal?

Where did the "women shouldn't be leaders of power because they will get their period and start war" stereotype even come from?
I'm not trying to prove a point, but I genuinely don't understand this rhetoric. Anyone who says this has literally zero idea as to how period works.
do you seriously think a woman's hormones are so uncontrollable that the second they're on their period they want to bomb a country? That is genuinely the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Do you seriously think a woman is gonna go "man my period sucks today. Let me start war with Uzbekistan" like what the hell? I've never heard anything more stupider than that.
Also, a majority of wars aren't started from emotional outbursts. They were started over things like oil, money, or just to prove a point. Cherry on top; these wars were started by men.

Women only Male employee at a grocery store kept trying to get me to interact with him.
Produce section. He walks up and starts moving tomatoes around. I walk to the cucumbers.
He follows. "Hey," he says. I nod and say "hey," and walk away.
I'm looking at hot sauces. "You like spice?" He asks. I'm immediately put off. I Just smile, shrug, mumble "yeah," and walk off.
I continue my shopping and think I'm free of him. But, no, when I go to the check out, he runs up to bag my purchases. I'm talking to the female cashier, and he keeps interrupting.
I ignore him. I basically rush to my car. He follows me outside to "collect carts." I had parked next to the cart collection station, so he was watching closely, basically trying to look busy so that he can stare at me and try for another interaction.
I put my cart in the collection area. "You could've handed that off to me," he said. I don't respond. I get in my car and leave.
Men are so creepy.

I canāt wrap my head around men thinking they have a say in a womanās pregnancy
EDIT Guys I totally fād up this post. I meant to say: if he doesnāt want the child, but she does, he should STILL HAVE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT.
Back to the post:
I truly want to surmount this mental hurdle. Thatās the only reason Iām posting about it. I canāt find any other posts that is specifically saying what I want to say.
Every boyfriend Iāve had, at some point we have a casual discussion about pregnancy (initiated by me).
Points that men have made to me:
- The pregnancy is half his because itās his genes.
- He should have equal say in any termination, under any circumstance.
- If he doesnāt want the child, but she does, he shouldnāt have to pay any child support. ***EDIT*** if he doesnāt want the child, but she does, he should STILL HAVE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT.
Iām sorry but I see it completely differently.
I think the pregnancy is completely mine, completely my own cells and nutrients from my body, and I am the one that bears carrying the child to term so every decision is up to me. So if he wants it but I donāt, he has no say.
Also if I want it but he doesnāt, he still has to pay something. Obviously I would have to pay too. Thatās the contract we wrote when we went to pound town. Yes there are situations where one party can manipulate a situation to attain a pregnancy. And to that I say, that the man still signed his name on the dotted line.
Iām feeling like Iāve got these radical views. Like it kind of is all or nothing for me. I definitely donāt understand the science behind pregnancy and the males genes. I would like to be more flexible and open to other views but Iāll be damned if I donāt just FEEL this way.
Iām sure thereās nuanced situations where my arguments totally fall apart. I would love to hear them.

Mammogram callback
Hi, I'm 40 and I just had my first mammogram last Friday and received a letter stating that I needed additional imaging done and I am kind of losing it.
I have major health anxiety as it is and my father and aunt both passed away from cancer, so I know I'm letting my mind get the best of me. The mammogram report stated that I have a 1.1cm asymmetry in my left breast. It also said my breasts are mostly fatty which I know is better than density. But shouldn't it be easier to read? Argh.
I have to wait for my OBGYN to send in the diagnostic order for an appointment and the wait is just.. a lot.
I also have dumb insurance with a dumb high deductible and I'm already mentally preparing for a fight with them when they don't cover this appointment/test at all.
Sigh.
Any experiences that were positive? I know that not having previous mammograms and nothing to compare it to is a thing as well, but ... Anxiety. She's my closet pal. I just wanna see my kids grow up.
Someone talk me off the ledge. Please.

Being a male feminist is all about how you treat women youāre unattracted to
Hear me out; being a true ally to the feminist cause is about being kind and civil to those you donāt want to fuck. If youāre only nice to those you want to sleep with it isnāt the move you think it is. Often men have disgusting behavior towards those they deem lesser and donāt treat them as people. Weāre all human beings at the end of the day. We all deserve the same respect and dignity afforded to others. When men start seeing women as whole human beings the world will be a better place. Even conventionally attractive women get shit treatment at times. Come on. Do better.

UPDATE: To ghost or not to ghost scary first date experience? ā Bumble permanently banned me for reporting that he made me uncomfortable
I posted yesterday about a terrifying first-date experience with a man I met on Bumble. Since that post, he texted me back to back, called me 5 times, and another time from a burner phone, and found me on Facebook and messaged me there despite not having my full name.
As you all wisely suggested, I unmatched and, while unmatching, reported that āhe made me feel uncomfortable.ā That is ALL I did. He was the ONLY match I was actively talking to at the time, the only match I went on a date with, and Bumble was the only dating app I was using, Literally just a few hours after unmatching and reporting, I log back into bumble to find that I have been banned for āviolating community guidelines.ā I appealed and they emailed saying the ban was permanent.
Moral of the story? Reporting that you felt unsafe after an encounter involving potential sexual assault and further harassment can lead to YOU being permanently banned from Bumble.
To my knowledge, the man I reported has not been banned (I had a friend check). Yet, Bumble refuses to explain why I was removed.
I am appalled, shocked, and frankly disgusted by the way Bumble has chosen to handle this.
EDIT: just wanted to edit with a positive update! I was personally contacted by the CEO of Bumble yesterday afternoon. I sent her all the evidence and the exact details of what happened. As of today, I just received notice that my account was incorrectly banned and my access has been restored! This was a wild and very emotional ride but I think itās finally coming to a close. I really appreciate you all for all of your support. As for me, I think Iām going to take a bit of a break from dating. I have a lot of processing and self-reflection to do before I will feel ready again. As for that dude, I would be lying if I were to say I was not worried that heād be vengeful about the way things went down and especially about the fact that his bumble account is now very likely banned. Iām doing everything I can to put in place some safety measures and to stay vigilant.

First sexual encounter with this guy and I couldn't feel anything.
So, last night, I went on a first date with a man, which was set up by a mutual friend. Friend told me that this man had expressed interest since the first time we briefly met and she knew he was really great so she set us up on the agreement that it wouldn't be a casual one time thing.
The date went well, he was so sweet, and I could really tell he was interested in me. I ended up going back to his house with him, and things happened. It was really nice being with him, and there was lots of cuddling which was really nice. However...
When we actually had PIV sex, I didn't feel anything. I didn't even realise he had put it in at first or that we were actually having sex. It slipped out at one point and I only realised because it hit my thigh. We tried multiple positions and I couldn't feel anything in any. He did go down on me, which felt nice and was definitely effective :)
Today, I woke up in his bed and we cuddled again, he took me out for breakfast and we spent a couple hours at the restaurant talking, and then he walked me to the bus station and I went home. He's already texted me asking for another date this weekend and told me how good of a time he had with me.
I just don't know what to do. It's the first time I've had a date go that well, or had a man express genuine interest in me in a while. I have agreed to the second date, but I don't know what to do if we have PIV again and it doesn't feel like anything. Especially considering we share a mutual friend - who was worried that if she set us up, it would just be a casual thing - and I don't want to have to deal with any awkwardness.

entitlement to food?
my dad has always been a big eater. thats expected of him i guess but sometimes it feels a bit entitled. on my birthdays, he'll eat most of the cake, he has the biggest portions at dinner time and he often eats entire packages of cookies to himself while my mom gets nothing at all. he made brownies today which i didnt even know about. apparently my brother got two pieces and my mom didnt have any, as usual while i wasnt even told, which means he ate more than 75% of the pan. i might just be emotional because im on my period but its making me kind of upset.

Why Does Everything Feel So Heavy Right Now?
Hi, everyone,
I just feel crazy overall. I literally suck. My life sucks. I have been suffering for the past many years, and I don't know if it's a me problem. To be very honest, I was looking through young actresses' social media, and they seem to have everything they need in life: money, cars, clothes, beauty, great skin and hair, style, bags, shoes, literally everything.
I have been studious and earned a professional degree, but what for? I hit my 30s, and my salary is still peanuts. I don't know what's next for my life or career. I haven't experienced love, neither from my family nor from others. Nothing is right about me. Nothing.
When will things change for me? After I hit my 80s? Even after 80, I feel like my life won't change. All my good years are passing by. Everyone else is living their life; I am not. I don't have anything, beauty, mental health, physical health, emotional health, or wealth. Nothing. I don't know what went wrong, and I don't know the reason for my suffering. What should I do?

Iām a victim of Sexual assault. Was staying silent the right thing to do?
First of all, in order to prevent people from doxing me, Iām using my brothers account which weāve wiped clean. So with that out the way..
Iām from South Africa. Many years ago, when I was barely a teenager, I was groomed and assaulted by someone my mother worked for. My mother and I were house cleaners for rich families. The 20 something year old Swedish man whose house we cleaned, would converse with me from time to time, so eventually we grew to know each other on friendly terms. Sparing the gory details, one day when he had gained my trust, he took advantage of me. I wanted to pretend it never happened, so I stayed silent, hoping it was just a bad dream. However, when my period didnāt come, I had to tell my mother what happened because I was not prepared for having a child at such a young age when I was still in middle school (I worked on weekends). The humiliation and shame I felt having to tell my mother what had happened, she never looked at me the same after that. My mother told me that we couldnāt report it to the police because it would have cost us our jobs and most likely the charges wouldnāt stick anyway.
For many years, that whole ordeal has felt like a grave injustice. I was angry then and Iām still angry now. Before then, I used to believe in the system, but after that, no more. I came to realize that if you have money, the same rules donāt apply to you. That realization has followed me for the rest of my life and made me extremely cynical and depressed.
Recently however I saw that someone else had posted a video about the same guy, calling him out for having what he did to them. You would think that I would be glad that he is finally being exposed for what he is, but for some reason I feel conflicted. I am so, so so so happy that people had the courage to speak out against him. But at the same time, I feel especially pathetic for not having so myself when I had the chance. Most of the women in the video about him, seem to have been raped after me. Maybe if I had spoke out at the time, I could have prevented him from harming all those women that came after. While I know that Iām not to blame for his actions, I canāt shake the feeling that my silence was complicity.
Please help me sop thinking like this, as itās eating me up inside and I canāt stand it.

large labia women, donāt listen to immature people.
Iāve always been self-conscious about my labia ā itās long and brown at the ends. It started when I heard a girl make fun of another girl for have ābeefā down there. I was still a virgin and that became another reason why i didnāt want to have sex⦠what if i was made fun of too.
I literally looked up places to get a labiaplasty. Iād become more open to close friends and talk about it, but none of them had the same issue. Reddit did helped a lot bc there were so many people saying it was normal. But still ⦠I hated what i looked like down there!
That was until I met the first guy I slept with. He was gentle and didnāt mind at all. Itās like I was normal!
At first I thought⦠wow heās just mature and this is how mature men are (heās a bit older than me). They donāt gaf about what it looks like. Truly. And thatās really all you need, is a real man who understands bodies look different. As long as you take care of yourself, it DOESNT MATTER.
But then we had this interaction. He ft me when i was showing so I answered. I was shampooing and he was GUSHING over how he could see my labia from the back, just hanging there (that sounds strange, but when you have a thigh gap and longer labia⦠news flash you can see it). He didnāt say it like that obviously, but it was the first time i realized⦠wow, there are men who really do just like womenās bodies.
So girly. you are NORMAL. if one boy doesnāt love you or the way you look down there, a man will step up. Donāt get surgery unless you ACTUALLY HAVE TO. And trust me. my labia is pretty long and thick. Also, donāt be so make centered when it comes to your body. women are beautiful. you do you because of YOUā¤ļø
