We're a small indie team working on Flightline: Airline Sim, an airline management sim built around one core premise: building an airline that actually has to make operational sense.
In Flightline, passengers do not behave like fixed cargo waiting along preset tracks. We wanted our simulation to model actual traveler psychology and pathfinding, thus the simulation evaluates complete origin-to-destination journeys across competing airline offers:
- If you overprice a direct flight, budget-conscious travelers will book a cheaper connecting itinerary through a competitor's hub instead
- In multi-airport regions, passengers weigh ticket prices, schedule convenience, and surface travel time between their doorstep and their final destination
Beyond route networks, you manage fleet acquisition through new orders, used purchases, or dry leases. You also configure cabin seating layouts, design liveries in a 3D editor, establish airline alliances, enter into interline and codeshare agreements with partner airlines, negotiate fuel contracts, and many more!
A free playable demo is available on Steam for Steam Next Fest and works for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

💬 Discord Server: https://discord.gg/JE7tjfr5JG (we'll be announcing our next feature playtesting window here soon!)
Special thanks to everyone who spent the last six weeks testing routes, reporting bugs, and stress-testing our transit logic during the playtest. Your feedback helped us get the game & simulation ready for a public demo release.
We’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas. If you tried the demo, feel free to join our Discord server & share your feedback, performance reports, or just to ask questions!

Greetings good people of r/PCgaming. My name is Rudolf Kremers, and I run indie studio Omni Systems Ltd. You might know us from the Eufloria games.
I’ve been in the UK games industry for 26 years now, although I made games as a hobby/obsession as early as 1984. (!!!)
I started out working on big IP for other studios (Hitchhiker’s Guide, Harry Potter, Avatar the Last Airbender) but around 2010 I got the bug and started my own indie studio to work on original projects. (Eufloria, Bioframe Outpost, Receiver 2)
We just announced Eufloria 2! It’s the first direct sequel to Eufloria, which we released in 2008. (An era almost unrecognisable to me now.)
We had a terrific response with the announcement; there are a lot of fans of the old game out there that did not expect a sequel to be made, ever.
Eufloria 2 combines 4X gameplay with RTS elements, but through a somewhat unique lens. You control botanical life-forms with which you colonise and terraform asteroids, grow new lifeforms to do your bidding, and expand your colony. Conflict comes from competition with other colonies vying for the same resources. Intergalactic full contact gardening! The sequel brings a lot of cool new stuff to the experience, like the ability to evolve or mutate units, and a terrific game editor.
Ask me anything about our games & projects - we worked on many things as devs or as interactive media consultancy. Outside of Omni I’m a writer, indie filmmaker, photographer, and so on, so I’ve been around haha.
Can’t wait to read your questions and share our stories. l will be here in person till about 9pm UK time, as well as the next few days.
Last, not least: A major THANK YOU to the mods for verifying us. Small teams like ours really benefit from this kind of support..

Andrew Wilson became CEO of EA in 2013 with a salary of $800,000. Fast forward to 2026 and his base salary has ballooned to $1.3M with a staggering $6.5M performance bonus. But wait, it gets better.
Due to the structure of the Saudi buyout, he was paid ~$28.5M in cash for his fiscal year stock value. BUT WAIT.
To take it even further, Wilson cashed out his entire lifetime EA stock portfolio during the buyout at an estimated eye-watering $105.9M in C A S H.
Guess what else happened over the roughly 13 years of his tenure?
2014: Mythic Entertainment, the studio responsible for Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online, was shuttered.
2015: Maxis (Emeryville), the studio responsible for the SimCity and Sims franchises were shuttered. Though they kept the studio name and spun it off to milk The Sims for every last penny they can in monetization.
2017: Visceral Games, the studio responsible for the Dead Space franchise, was shuttered.
2023: An entire 6% of EA's global workforce got the axe
2024: Ridgeline Games, a studio responsible for Battlefield's narrative content, was shuttered.
2024: Another 5% of EA's global workforce was cut
2026: 120-200 developers across the Battlefield development teams were canned.
And that brings us to today, and the death of BioWare.
All-in-all, this man oversaw the displacement of well over 3,000 developers, creators and corporate EA employees across at least six studios. Not to mention the number of projects thrown into the trash-heap or reworked until there was nothing left to present.
The Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund now owns ~94% of EA. They control it. And did you know, the structure in which the buyout occurred, the method in which they purchased EA, multiplied EA's debt by nearly 10x? EA essentially bought itself through taking additional debt. And all this for a windfall payday for existing stockholders and executives.
What makes anyone think that EA is still interested in delivering quality content for the gaming community, and not simply more dollar signs for the C-suite? I won’t be giving another cent to EA or the studios it swallows up and spits out.
