Giveaway [GIVEAWAY] The latest Tandem WOLED featuring RGB Stripe pixel technology - ASUS PG32UCWM

Asus Tandem WOLED PG32UCWM r/Monitors Giveaway Event

Hello r/Monitors!

We’re giving away one ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCWM. It boasts the latest Tandem WOLED featuring RGB Stripe pixel technology, bringing OLED’s deep blacks together with improved text and image clarity. We’ll have one winner for the monitor, plus three additional winners who will each receive a $50 Amazon gift card.

Whether you’re into competitive gaming, display technology, or just interested in trying out something new, feel free to enter!

Key Features

Primary RGB Tandem 2.0

Primary RGB Tandem is a device technology that replaces the three-layer structure of the existing OLED device — Blue, Yellow, Blue — by splitting the Yellow layer into Green and Blue, thereby stacking pure Red, Green, and Blue into four independent layers. This enhances brightness and color gamut while improving power efficiency. After the launch of Primary RGB Tandem 1.0 in 2025, Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 was introduced in 2026, featuring a refined device structure and driving algorithms for even greater performance.

RGB Stripe Subpixel Layout & 140PPI — Sharper Text, Truer Color

A true RGB Stripe subpixel layout means sharper text and more accurate color. Paired with a 140 PPI UHD resolution, every icon, line of text, and fine detail renders with exceptional clarity. It goes beyond conventional gaming monitor boundaries, making it equally viable for office and professional applications.

Unparalleled HDR & Enriched Color Depth

True Black 400 certification, up to 1000nits of peak brightness, 99% DCI-P3 coverage, and 10-bit color combine to create HDR that's both punchy and accurate.

Perfect Visual Experience in Any Environment

Powered by ultra-low reflection technology, Tandem WOLED achieves an industry-leading reflectance of just 1.1%, maintaining exceptional picture quality — with no black blooming and no color fading — even in bright environments.

Dual Mode & Fastest Response Time

Dual Mode lets you switch between 4K at 240Hz for detail-heavy work or FHD at 480Hz when you need max frame rate. 0.03ms G2G response time — 100 times faster than LCD panels — makes every frame razor-sharp in fast-paced FPS gaming.

Human Friendly

Certified Eyesafe by minimizing blue light in both circadian-disrupting and eye-harmful ranges. A glare-free, immersion-first display that keeps your eyes comfortable for extended play.

It looks even brighter on a white background, dimmer on a black background. It appeared today after turning on the pc. Is there any way to fix it or just put up with it or take it in for repair?

Photo Need help to get quick amazon plug and play “Alolg” monitor working from “No Signal”

So I got a cheap-ish Monitor on Amazon with the intention of it being a small second monitor. A while back I had gotten one that wouldn’t work, and thus returned, but when I decided to give it a shot again with a different Amazon monitor I found roughly the exact same issues (well different in that it’s “different companies” but seems to be basically the exact same monitor with a different company name which is incredibly infuriating, my last attempt at this being with a KYY monitor). So seeing that probably means I’m doing something wrong/stupid, I thought I would ask here.

The specific message that comes on it is “No Signal” for about 15 seconds before switching to “Power Saving” for 3 seconds and shutting down. Turning it back on takes several button presses, as one press won’t do it seems like, but that may be a quirk of the monitor as I think the returned KYY had the same issue.

The monitor I am working on trying to get running is an “Alolg” monitor, specifically this one. Of which advertises a very simple plug and play usage, and some mini videos I’ve seen seem to show as easy as plugging in the USB-C and it working. However, when connecting said USB-C to the PC it does not seem to be the case. I have also tried plugging in HDMI to my working monitor. Tried plugging USB-C into direct power. And of course combinations of these (plugged into both main monitor and PC, plugged into wall and PC, plugged into wall and monitor, ect.) I’m using a starforge PC if that changes/helps anything. I have also tried using a different USB-B other than the one this came with to no avail as well.

The only thing I haven’t been able to try is HDMI directly into the PC (as my PC only has one port for that apparently, which I am using for my actual main monitor, meaning I’d have to go find a plugin that lets you do more than one HDMI if so, but again, videos seem to indicate just being able to plug in with USB-C and be fine so I’m hoping I don’t have to buy a whole new plugin JUST for this too.)

On the PC side, attempting to “detect” the monitor also yields no results as it seems like it’s just not being recognized at all.

Anyways, let me know if anyone gets the problem (or if it IS the HDMI thing, or what) I tried to be thorough in explaining everything but let me know if more is needed!

(Pictures are of the monitor itself with the “no signal” thing when connected both HDMI and USB-C, showing how I plugged the HDMI into the main monitor (right of the two, one in middle), and how I plugged on Starforge for USB-C)

Discussion Innocn 25M2S - really bad motion on Fortnite?

• Upvotes

Hey yall, I play on Xbox Series X (currently) with my Innocn 25M2S monitor (1440p 240Hz mini LED IPS 24.5”). Most other online games I’ve played look fine, but I play Fortnite often and I’ve been noticing since I’ve had it that motion looks REALLY weird, and just like.. shit. Tracking enemies genuinely feels like a struggle because they’re a bunch of dark jittery blurs zipping on my screen, I used to play on a TN 27” 144Hz and I never had any complaints.

And yes, I have tried all different overdrive/MPCS (motion picture clarity settings) and nothing looks that good. And I prefer to have MPCS off because I tend to get more eye strain from it. And no local dimming isn’t on.

I’m wondering why I feel this way, is it because I used to be a TN player then swapped to IPS? Is it because I’m playing a 120Hz console on a 240Hz screen?

Discussion Is pixel inversion normal on the Alienware AW2725QF?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I get really distracting lines when moving the camera in games. I tested 4K, QHD and 1080p, tried two different DisplayPort cables and HDMI, changed GPU, Windows, BIOS and monitor settings, and even tested it on another PC. I also tested three other monitors on both PCs, and none had the same issue.

Dell Brazil support has been absolutely awful. They keep blaming my PC and refusing to help, even after all these tests. The answers have been ridiculous. I recently contacted Logitech about a different issue and they handled it incredibly quickly, so the contrast is frustrating.

The lines make games like the new DMZ genuinely unpleasant to play. Has anyone else experienced this with the AW2725QF? Is it a known issue with this model, or could my unit be defective?

Discussion Monitor questions for work

My new job is allowing me to get a 49” monitor for my GIS work and I was looking at Samsung Odyssey monitors. I was wondering if getting a OLED monitor that is 1800R worth it lore should I just get a non OLED monitor that is 1000R so it won’t burn in. Just want to know if the difference for those I big like with the curve and if OLED for work will burn in quick?

Discussion Have an LG dual mode 4k/1080 but 4k is just a bit too much - ASUS 1440/720 instead?

Had the LG 32GS95 for just over a year with these specs

4070 Ti Super
7800X3D
32GB 6000 DDR5

It’s a really good monitor but I think I’ve decided that 4k is just needlessly hard to drive to higher rrs for what it is. I can hit 100-150fps in modern games with DLSS which is fine I guess but it’s not leaving me anything in the tank.

I had a 1440 ultrawide previously and I think 1440 is the sweet spot.

Would I be mad to sell it and move to the ASUS ROG SWIFT 1440/720 tandem dual mode?

I use the lower res modes for CS2 mainly (or other esports titles), and I’ve heard complaints that 720p is just too shit these days. The 1080 mode on my LG by comparison is fine, but given its 32 inch I wouldn’t wanna play anything other than esports titles at 1080 so I’m forced into 4k for everything else.

Anyone use the ASUS for CS2 that can chime in? How’s the 720 mode? Too low res to be useful? Gimmick?

If only 1440 scaled nicely with 1080 lol.

Discussion 4K monitor for vfx work and gaming

I have an Arzopa-27 monitor which serves me pretty well but I wanted to buy an oled monitor for working with Nuke X DaVinci and other softwares where colour accuracy is important, but I don’t really know much about monitors and all of that. I wanted a Oled bc ppl say the contrasts are really incredible and that they work great with HDR.
I’d probably still play some games on my 1440p bc 4K is kinda heavy but itd be great for working with vfx.

Basically, what are some good monitors that arent like 1000 euros that I could look for? 😅

Discussion How the FRICK do i calibrate anything HDR in MacOS???

Im. loosing. my. mind!

I currently own both the current gen datacolor spyder, as well as the Calibrite Display Pro HL, both respective softwares and displayCAL on top of that.

None of them can calibrate anything HDR. ChatGPT says i would NEED to use windows to calibrate my display (TCL C8L) and import that lut onto my TV (which i can with DDC). To check if that does anything for me working on mac i would need to run the TCL on my mac and start a color analysis with my windows PC color checking the TCL running on my mac (because the software needed for that only runs on windows - colorspace?).

Is that right so far?
That cant be the only way, right??

I would be over the moon if i could atleast measure my TCL using my Macbook tbh, any average delta e under 2,5 in HDR is plenty fine for what i do, but i would need to atleast be able to measure it.

Any quick and easy ICC profile calibration for HDR (if that even works at all lol) would probably also work.

Im having more and more question the longer im in this never ending god forsaken rabbit hole. Hoe can you even calibrate anything apple with EDR and HDR?

Is there any quick and easy way to measure my current delta es on the TCL with my macbook and current hardware?

Discussion what Oled monitor to run

Hey guys, i’m looking to get a new oled monitor. Never had one but i’m not sure if i should get a 1440 or a 4k monitor.

Looking for a 32 but wasn’t sure if 4k is worth it for frame drops?

I have a 5080 and a 9850 x3d with 32g ram.

So im sure my pc would handle 4k just fine just wanted a 2nd opinion before it keeps driving me insane on what to do.

Thanks in advance guys,

Discussion Monitor upgrade recs, please? (OLED NOT GLOSSY)

I'm looking to upgrade from my ROG XG27ACS to an OLED monitor. Some requirements for the monitor are that it can't be fully glossy (my set up is directly at a window and I have very little control of lighting), at least 1440p (4k suggestions are welcome but it's chill either way) 16:9 27", good ergonomics/adjustability, and less necessary but I'd like if it had a USB-C connector on the back.
I mostly play singleplayer RPGs (Red Dead, Cyberpunk 2077) and I don't care heaps about super high refresh rates but at least 180 or feels reasonable (I could be wrong).

I've looked into a lot of the ROG XG series and I quite like these -- especially over the P series -- but I've found that they're either glossy (or don't say), super expensive ($1000 AUD + on sale), or unavailable in Australia.

If anyone could recommend something or tell me which ROG X series isn't fully glossy or at least decent in settings where light is out of my control that'd be greatly appreciated.

I am based in Australia and my budget is about $1k AUD.
Thank you :)

Discussion Dead Pixels on an OLED monitor

So I purchased an OLED monitor from an online retailer in the UK. I finally got around to setting it up approx 18 days after delivery.

I noticed there were some dead pixels so contacted them. They asked for images which I provided and they said although faulty (he could see 4 dead pixels) it falls within the tolerance range for ASUS monitors (of 5 dead pixels).

They said they’d speak to their manager to see if I could return as ‘no longer required’ who agreed but said I’d have to pay for return costs - this works out at £60!

Where do I stand here?! I know that UK law states 30 days for faulty, but they will argue that the tolerance for the monitors is 5 dead pixels.
