Miami is a play in team at best.
It is just Giannis and bums just like during the end of his days in Milwaukee.
THat roster is cheeks.
At least he gets to live in Miami.
This guy went from best player in the league to afterthought so quickly

Only 1 free throw made. Super ethical.
LaMelo, Ant and McDaniels combine for 68 points and only three free throws made through 3 quarters as the Wolves have a 18 point lead entering the 4th.

The Spurs got to the NBA finals last year without a real PF on their roster, playing a bunch of guards and Wemby. It worked last year.
But starting 3 PGs, 1 SG at PF and Wemby isn't gonna work. Yes Tobias Harris came to be that starting PF, at least he's 6'8" and a good all around player that can shoot 3s.
But then what happens to Vassell?
THE REAL PROBLEM:
THE SPIRS ARE STARTING 3 PPINT GUARDS THAT ARE NOT 3PT SHOOTERS. THEY CAN HIT SOME AND BE STREAKY HOT SOMETIMES.....
BUT IT DOESN'T WORK.
FOX for his career has always been a speedy PG with a nasty midrange, flosters and finishing.
CASTLE has been/become a very solid 2way PG/SG that can do it all, but he's not a 3pt shooter like he appeared last night.
HARPER is a young bucket getter and slasher, solid on defense and just attacking. But he's young and really needs to develop a legit 3pt shot.
Last year ALL 3 of these PGs shot 33% from 3pt, a number analytics say is as low as possible to justify even shooting 3s. 32% and below you basically don't belong shooting them.
Vassell & Champagne both shot 38% from 3, which is why they played so many minutes last year. Barnes shot 39% but he's old and not playing much these days 😂😂
THE SPURS HAVE 2 CHOICES:
1- Start Fox & Castle & Vassell (w Tobias + Wemby) and bring Harper off the bench and will still get 30 minutes.
2- TRADE Fox.... If possible. Otherwise your going to have to trade Castle or Harper......
WHAT ARE THE REAL POSSIBLE TRADE SCENARIO'S THAT THE SPURS CAN GET FOR FOX?
He's still a legit 20ppg 7apg lightning fast PG, but yes his contract of $50 mil a year is bad, especially as a 4 year deal that gets up to $60 million is final year.
Legit possibilities:
New Orleans Pelicans(?)
-Dejounte Murray (PG/SG) & Saddiq Bey (F) for Fox + Pick/s
Memphis Grizzlies:
-Jerami Grant (SF/PF) & Isiah Stewart (F/C) for Fox + Quantance + Pick/s (maybe Carter Bryant too)
I LOVE THIS IDEA!
I know Memphis just got rid of JJJ and JaMorant, building around Boozer, and I know Ty Jerome and other solid PGa are on their roster. But with the way their cap space is they could take a gamble on Fox (2+ first rounders needed).
Memphis has Coward & Wells at SG & SF with Boozer at PF, Eddy at C, so I could see this work. I'm sure Memphis fans would rather not do this, as they'll have a bunch of cap space next summer, but free agency is dead .... They have their core in tack for next season (including Jerami Grabts player option $36.4 mil) but they're still only at $112 million with their 11 core players.
What's $60 mil in cap going to do for them?? Nothing.... And even if they traded grant/Stewart for Fox they'd still have $55 mil in cap space and a starting 5 of
PG: Fox
SG: Coward
SF: Wells
PF: Boozer
C: Edey
W/Jerome & Post & GG Jackson etc
I know I'll get a ton of hate here, but I'm not overreacting to this I
one game. Im looking at the spurs franchise and future.
Hornets: got rid of LaMelo so this is a stretch, but when Coby White becomes trade eligible combine him with Royce Oneal or something..... Likely not but why not haha.
My SLEEPER:
ORLANDO MAGIC GO ALL IN AT PG FOR FOX
Franz Wagner & Suggs for Fox & Keldon Johnson (& Picks) would work, Orlando gets the PG they wish they had and the Spurs get a versatile Forward & a legit defensive guard. But yes it helps the spurs too much.... Maybe take Suggs out and add some bad contact/s for Fox + someone+ picks giving Orlando the option to start Fox w Suggs and Bane, Banchero & One of their 3 solid centers.
I'm not sold on Paolo and Wagner being a great fit, but I could be wrong.
YES, I KNOW ALL THESE TRADES ARE A BIG STRETCH, BUT I'M JUST TRYING TO THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES OF THERE ARE ANY FOR FOX.
With the Salary Cap going to around $176 million it's possible....
Memphis will have $112 million on the books next season after I assume players opt in to options and they waive the crazy Cap Hits of Taylor Hendricks ($23.4mil) and Kris Murray ($15.9 mil).
They'll extend GG Jackson, $10-$15 a year(?) so $127 million...... What do they do with that money? Essentially $50 million....
Most teams will likely lock in players with extensions as well, with the 2027 best unrestricted Free Agents being Zach Lavine, RJ Barrett, & Jimmy Butler........ There's no free agency anymore Barrett will have an extension, Lavine will have trouble finding a team to pay him $20 mil.......
With all this said, bad contracts aren't immovable.
Thanks for reading my rant if you made it 😂😂
