Discussion 🫩/🙂

mixed emotions, wrote like 3 paragraphs because r teams defense was playing like they were making 15.50 a day but now its close, very odd game, LETS WIN THIS FUCKING SHIT FUCK LU DORT’S BITCH ASS, PAOLO PLEASE SMART DECISIONS ONLY NO FORCING SHIT AND PLEASE PLAY MORE OFF BALL, he would be so unstoppable as a more off ball player, teams wouldn’t know what to expect, idk why him and franz don’t spam screens for each other💔, DESSIE BB AND TRIS NEEDS TO HEAT UP, WE NEED THEM

Discussion Everyone is relieved Franz is healthy but I’m upset about Penda

I thought Penda was phenomenal last year and was excited to see his second year, what he worked on over the summer, and if the bleached hair would give him any extra powers.

With Moe gone we don’t have many other big men who can move like him. Not Goga and certainly not JI.

EDIT: I just woke up and forgot Vooch was back on the team

I almost don’t care about the AB thing. We really don’t need him and Suggs imo, so this will work out. Jase is a fine backup 1.

At least it happened at the beginning of the season 😭

Discussion I spun a wheel and now I'm a Magic. Fill me in on everything.

I live in the greater Seattle region and aspire to work in sports. I'm currently in college for sports management and statistics. I wanted to be able to open up opportunities for myself by adding NBA to my sports mix. Unfortunately, by the time the Sonics will be back, I'll already be done with college. Instead, I spun a wheel of names to determine my team for SOLELY for the 2026-27 season and landed on the Magic. I mostly know how the game works, but I don't know too much about the teams.

What do I need to know about the Magic? Who are their stars and underdogs? Are they in contention for a championship this year? Who are their rivals? How do we feel about the coaching? Tell me anything and everything I need to know to be a half decent Magic fan this season.

Edit: Compare the team to an NFL or MLB team to help me understand what I've just gotten myself into

Edit 2: I'm just now finding out that the Magic will be playing the Bucks at home on my birthday (Nov 13). Should I be prepared for a balanced or unbalanced match and will I be disappointed on my birthday?

Die hard Magic fan here but live about a hour away. I want to attend a couple games in November . What's some of the best options for ticket purchase besides the normal ticket master , stub hub. Any insight appreciated.

Thanks

Discussion Best restaurants around Kia Center?

Any recs for food before the game, relatively close to Kia? I don't go downtown often, but when I do I like to try and avoid big chains... and buying food at Kia.

New season ticket holder, looking for a balance of ease of getting out of downtown and not having to walk super far. Any suggestions?

Discussion Jonathan Isaac out, Noah Penda out for months, Izaiyah Nelson out and a rookie should we sign Jeremy Sochan, Ochai Agbaji or Bruce Brown for depth?

With all the injuries already wouldn't it make sense to sign Jeremy Sochan just in case as a defensive PF that can pass and rebound. Only 23 yrs old and was coached by Sweeney last yr.

Discussion Tickets for this season

hey yall. I'm looking to attend some games this season and would love to make connections with season ticket holders who can't always attend. I'm certainly open to working with all other ticket holders though. ideally looking for ticket pairs but will consider singles and other quantities too.

thank you & GO MAGIC

Discussion Notable names that got waived

Hopefully the Magic take one of these players if they still have a open roster spot.

Kevin Porter Jr (17, 5, 7)

Walter Clayton Jr ( UF legend )

Dalton Knecht (mid)

Bruce Brown (vet presence)

Dwight Powell (close enough to Dwight Howard)

As we all probably know, Penda will be out for many months and probably back in Nov-Dec.

I am leaning towards Brown due to vet presence and shooting 38% from 3 with the nuggs.

KPJ would also be a solid signing if he becomes more of a passer. He is a pretty solid defender too.

HYPE! [Stein] The Magic and Anthony Black are not expected to reach agreement on a contract extension by tomorrow’s deadline. The Magic don't want to trade him, league sources say, but also know their payroll can't withstand another pricey long-term deal along with Banchero, Wagner, Suggs and Bane.

Discussion Orlando Magic Podcast

I used to love to tune in to the 6th Man Show for all the post games and it’s disheartening to know that will no longer be happening with them or anyone else as far as I know. For the record very happy for those guys. With that being said, I would love to start an Orlando Magic podcast with some die hard Magic fans. In a perfect world I would love to do post game shows on top of a normal weekly podcast but I think that should be built overtime. Could be great to have a collective of people for different takes and skills. Message me if interested please.

Seems like a fair appraisal. The closing line represents what the consensus of this forum thinks:

"I thought the breakthrough would be last year; I now think this is the last chance this group gets before trades break it up."
