I fell in love with this universe when I was 12 years old kid and explored every inch of it. Now I’m 30, and a piece of my childhood is gone.
Time to grow up.

A new game could have never recaptured this feeling anyway.
Thank you, BioWare.

The news broke my heart. Mass Effect Trilogy happens to be the best games I grew up with.
It's been a damn good ride, though. I replayed the trilogy a few weeks ago. I think it's time to give it another run. Obituary run, if you like.
There are things I learned from the game that I use in my life. Here are a few:
I hope you all find your Vakarians and Wrexes. Your Liaras/Talis. Your inner Shepards. And lose your Udinas and Wreaves.
Here's the the Mass Effect triogy!
We've had good ride. THE BEST.
Love you, N7 Squad! Thank you for the memories, Bioware!

I've studied species Turian, Asari, and Batarian.
I'm quite good at genetics as a subset of biology.
Because I am an expert which I know is a tautology.

Good. You opened this message. This isn't actually asari military command. They're busy tending to what's left of their planet.
So you survived our fight on Thessia. You're not as weak as I thought. But never forget that your best wasn't good enough to stop me. Now an entire planet is dying because you lacked the strength to win. The legend of Shepard needs to be re-written. I hope I'm there for the last chapter. It ends with your death.

After all these years of waiting, knowing we'll never get to see where the next Mass Effect was going is heartbreaking. If anyone from BioWare knows what the story was supposed to be, please share it with us. Even if we never get to play it, we deserve to know how the story would have continued. Fuck EA.

I didn't expect to see this today. Truly a sad day.

As you all know by now, EA has shut Bioware down and canceled the next installment of Mass Effect. Above is the message posted to Bioware's social channels.
This is not our usual megathread. We are not removing posts related to this and are not removing duplicate posts. We want everyone to feel their feelings. This megathread is just a place to vent and discuss if you want to.
The mod team is committed to keeping the Mass Effect community alive as we have since the end of the original trilogy. We will still host N7 Day festivities.
Keelah se'lai.
