I will miss the next theoretical mass effect. But imagining a mass effect approved by the Saudis is a nightmare scenario. Someone will buy the franchise.
•
u/ShadePrime1 4h ago
Or they will hold onto the franchise like vampires thinking they might use it again one day but never will

Yeah but how long can you hold onto something of theoretical value to your company when you've got very real debts to service from your new owners? At a certain point the only rational financial choice is to sell.
•
u/CaptainPrower 2h ago
That's the thing - EA isn't rational.
Their solution to their mounting debts will be to just push more and more microtransactions and gambling into their sports games.

Bout to go and save every single character I can in the Legendary Edition.

At least it won't be destroyed by writers that don't understand what made the trilogy so special.
I wish Disney would have left Star Wars alone, but here we are.
Thankfully Mass Effect will gracefully stay enshrined where it belongs as one of the greatest game franchises of all time from (IMO) the greatest era of video games.

Disney gave us Andor, one of the single greatest pieces of Star Wars media. They gave us The Mandalorian, which if you didnt love the first season of, you're not a real Star Wars fan. Rebels, Visions, TotJ, TotE, TotU are all fantastic.
The Jedi Survivor series, Zero Company, Galactic Racer, Battlefront 1 + 2 (Dice), The Vader VR series. Shoot they even made a VR capable X-wing title.
Bioware still had a ton of potential and its terrible to see people celebrate it ending.

Mass Effect had a lot of potential.
Bioware has spent the last 10 years flailing around in the vain hope that one of their half assed products would become a hit.
•

They spent the last 10 years making some of the best action mechanics in modern action RPG's.
Anthem just needed an endgame loop and it would have been fine.

We really gonna act like Andromeda doesn't exist huh. Actually, yeah, let's continue with that

It's a porn creator account that occasionally posts non-porn mass effect memes and/or discussion starters on this sub to drum up engagement for their content. But they still use the nsfw character models to make the non-porn photos/memes.
Usually that kind of thing bothers me, but the memes make me chuckle, and I feel like a good amount of work probably goes into making them soooooo 🤷♀️. Something something something, morality is actually various shades of grey, something something something let people express themselves.

I'm always happy to see OP's posts because they're very high effort for a meme
