If there’s one thing Putin isn’t, it’s stupid. He know exactly what he’s doing and he’s been successful at it so far.

Oh agreed. He's nobody's fool but I do believe he's someone who believes that force and willpower will overcome inconvenient facts.

Get enough yes men surrounding you for so long, always whispering how right you are, and have enough time pass I’m sure it starts getting to your head. Look at Trump. You honestly think he thinks he’s the bad guy?
