Hello there! I've come with another open-world style course. This time it's Royal Raceway from Mario Kart 64. This track is best known for the appearance of Peach's Castle and being able to drive on the outside portion of it. This was also where the Awards Ceremony took place in Mario Kart 64. I know Peach Stadium exists, sporting a much bigger castle than the other times Peach's Castle appears in a Mario Kart game, but perhaps Peach has more than one castle or something, given it's appearance on some of the Mario Circuit tracks. Who knows?

Mario Kart 8 brought this course back as the third track in the Banana Cup, and while it looks nice and all, the way to the castle grounds is sealed by a gate, and Peach's Castle had a visual upgrade. I kinda miss being able to drive around the castle in Mario Kart 64, and for those who miss driving around the grounds too, I've decided to restore the area. You could drive on the grounds in Free Roam, but it'll also be partially used in certain VS Mode races and Knockout Tour.

From Coconut Mall, Piranha Plant Pipeline, Moonview Highway and Wario Colosseum, you race on the course normally. The former two would simply have the gate closed like in Mario Kart 8, but in the latter the gates would be opened, but those arrow things would appear when you're on the last lap. The latter two also finally let you drive inside the castle for a brief moment before getting onto the course itself.

What about coming from Waluigi Stadium and/or DK Mountain? Well, I've made a new reverse route for the course. Instead of outright doing the track backwards like Tour, you race around part of the lost Mario Circuit first before entering a long tunnel similar to Luigi Raceway. You come out of the tunnel via a glider ramp and take part of the track backwards. From the starting line, instead of going to where the road starts from the big jump, you instead glide briefly into the castle grounds and enter the newly built tunnel to loop around back to the turn you came from.

I've also included most applicable starting points for VS Mode races & Knockout Tour rallies, as well as hypothetical checkpoints for rallies, including one serving as the final course.

Nearby tribute courses include SNES Mario Circuit 4 (with yellow highlights), N64 Moo Moo Farm, GBA Peach Circuit, and DS Peach Gardens. GBA Battle Course 3 is also present as a new location for Battle Mode.

what the hell??

I recently stumbled across Mario Kart Forever, a fan-made Mario Kart game created in Dreams on PlayStation, and I was genuinely surprised by how much fun I had with it.

I went in expecting a little novelty, but ended up playing for ages.

Thought fellow Mario Kart fans might enjoy seeing what someone's managed to create. Has anyone else tried it? Or is there an even better one in Dreams?

So I wanted to install „Pony cart ds“ but do not know how to install it and if it is compatible with Luma 3ds. I have Mario Kart ds as Software on my ds.

Got hit by a red shell after this and lost the race cos I couldn't block

Reason im asking is because I pretty much have all the other mods like RR, midnight, CGPR, one colour of mk wii deluxe( blue). Could download one more mod have a bit of space on my SD like 40GB

Starting with 24 racers: Any course that is adjacent to one of the tracks listed in the next section.

"Be 20th or better!" Passing through one of the following courses:

• DK Spaceport
• Koopa Troopa Beach
• Moo Moo Meadows
• Toad's Factory
• Mario Circuit
• The following routes could be modified to lead to the Special Cup version of Peach Stadium instead of the Shell Cup ("paper clip") version of it:
  • Crown City
  • Choco Mountain
  • Faraway Oasis
  • Cheep Cheep Falls

"Be 16th or better!" Arriving at Peach Stadium, and you have to do one lap of the Special Cup version of the course. I think this would be a good idea so that the music transitions feel more natural.

"Be 12th or better!" The finish line of Peach Stadium, and the music does its outro, then switches to playing the "To Rainbow Road" music.

"Be 8th or better!" The beginning of Rainbow Road, where you would normally start if selecting the track directing instead of traveling there from Peach Stadium.

"Be 4th or better!" The final section ("lap") of Rainbow Road.

Alternatively, the single lap around Peach Stadium could be removed and the rally could start one racetrack further removed from Peach Stadium, but you'd have to solve the problem of what the music soundtrack does when approaching and leaving Peach Stadium for Rainbow Road.

When your ending lap 3 on Sydney Sprint and you land after the 3rd glider you can actually do a U turn and use the lap 1 glider like normal and you can glide back and forth as much as you want
