The guide Looks like an ifixit teardown, i don't think the majority of Switch 2 users will of taken tech apart this far before.

Nintendo have made really minimal changes to the switch 2 design to accommodate this EU legislation. We have a new Non glued in battery, visible screws on the joycon 2 ports to aid disassembly, and a new battery connector and thats it.

A better solution would of been A re-tooled back plate with a single screw battery door, the position of the battery in the unit looks like you could keep the kickstand design as is too, and it would mean you dont have to disasemble the unit to change the battery.

Pre-ordered it last week and it is arriving on the 5th of November. Should I assume it is therefore with a replaceable battery? Asking as I have ordered again from Curry’s just now for a replaceable battery version but obviously will have to cancel one!!

(I can tell the product reference number is different to the one that will be arriving on the 29th of October though)

Looks like the new user replaceable battery edition is available to pre-order. It is a different product code to the other switch 2 zelda edition so I assume it is.

Zelda pro controller at Curry’s (replaceable battery), just got mine!

Keep an eye on Smyths store they have been restocking the click & collect daily. I cancelled my original Switch delivery as it was the non-replaceable battery type and managed to snag a click & collect for the newer version. Yeah not much difference but I'd rather have the replaceable one for longevity.

Just noticed that Cyberpunk 2077 is on sale on the Nintendo side. Yes, it is digital version not like the all-game cartridge but for £23.99 it is not bad.

I ordered the pictured items through the official Nintendo UK store. I received an email on the 12th saying the funds will be processed shortly but still haven't had them taken. A few friends have the same order and have have been charged already.

Is this normal for big Nintendo Pre-orders? I am a little concerned for my pre order.

As the title suggests, I contacted John Lewis and they confirmed the November release of consoles will come with the replaceable battery version & Zelda OOT Pre-installed. But my question is how can it be Pre-installed? Surely you need an active account registered to the console first before any installation?

When I checked with Nintendo Store they said that theirs won't have it at launch which have pi**ed me off so much that I feel like cancelling that order and taking my chances to hunt for a newer model.

While typing this I got a response from a Nintendo Store rep who confirmed that their models will NOT have replaceable batteries. However, things may change (hoping anyway) and they might give those? 🤷🏾‍♀️ Idk. If it doesn't have the replaceable batteries, upon receipt I'll just return it.
