I really like how Fox's Star Fox's design (First image) is a HUGE F*CK YOU to Pigma's design (Second design). I bet the moment Fox found out that Pigma did the first sign, he was like F*CK THAT SHIT. Redesign it. I don't want that traitor's design in MY Star Fox. Other than my dumb opinion, what do y'all think of the designs? Why was Pigma's design redesigned?

Starfox looks really interesting, and I’d love to play the new game, but I wanna make sure I’d enjoy the gameplay style before I buy it. Is snes Star Fox or Star Fox 64 closer (or are other of them close) in terms of how the new game plays and feels? How much did they change it up? (Since I’m aware it’s a remake)

I saw a post around here the other day asking that very same question, and it got me thinking: what would a *Star Fox* game actually look like with Star Wolf as the main villains?
Up until now, the role of Star Wolf has been that of secondary villains—they assist the main antagonist and serve as rivals to Star Fox, but they never take center stage in the games. They are designed to be supporting characters, but what if that weren't the case?
The first problem we run into is scale. No matter how charismatic O'Donnell and his gang might be, they simply aren't a threat on the same scale as Andross. It would feel strange for a mere band of mercenaries to suddenly possess the resources required to pose a threat to the entire Lylat system.
For this to work, the game would need to be on a smaller scale—one that doesn't involve Star Fox shooting down 200 enemy ships per level, moving away from the "Andross formula" of stopping a massive army from conquering Lylat.
The second issue is whether they truly fit the mold of "main villains"—a point that is, admittedly, open to interpretation. Yes, Wolf O'Donnell and his crew are bad guys: they kill for money, act solely in their own self-interest, and there are very few moral lines—if any—that they wouldn’t cross to line their own pockets.
But that’s the crux of the matter: their ambitions don’t extend much beyond making a fortune—and perhaps killing Fox in the process. They don’t seem driven to go any further or pose a threat to the entire Lylat system, as Andross does.
It comes back to the question of scale; any game featuring Star Wolf as the protagonists would, by necessity, need to be more "street-level" rather than galactic in scope.
Personally, I would love the idea of a game where—aside from the inclusion of Star Wolf—the team has a more prominent and significant role, and which demonstrates that Star Fox does things other than just fighting in galactic epics.

One has to wonder what their relationship was like back then between Nephew & Uncle, but I can assume that Dash would Never yell out: “Uncle Andrew”.

Here comes one of Peppy's most important women in his life. Starting with his beloved daughter, Lucy. Someone who could honestly work with Fox since their dads were part of the original Star Fox. But hey, I'm not arguing with Fox x Krystal enthusiasts.

Yet another Showcase of SNES Star Fox style Ships. This time introducing the following:
- Bullfrog, piloted by Slippy Toad in Star Fox Command.
- Tadpole, piloted by Amanda in Star Fox Command.
- Monkey Arrow, piloted by Dash Bowman in Star Fox Command.
- Sky Claw, piloted by Falco Lombardi in Star Fox Command. Also followed by Dash and Katt with green and pink versions as a reference to a Star Fox Command ending.
-Catspaw, piloted by Katt Monroe, as seen in Star Fox Zero, and Star Fox 2026.
Making great progress on finishing up all the friendly and allies ships from the Star Fox series. I'm 9 Models away on my list to completion! Then it's going to be making an animation for fun, and prepping for making the next group. I was going to learn how to see about sharing the files, but no-one really brought up interest in that, so I'll set that aside and learn how to do that later.

I hope Nintendo makes a Pigma game where the legendary Pig goes on an adventure. A game like fox adventures but with the pigma would be great.
No other piggy comes even close! Miss Pig in a muppet game ain't that great.

Has anyone encountered this: returning to Dinosaur Planet from anywhere but Dark Ice Mines triggers a game crash somewhere during the level? I have to go to Dark Ice Mines and then go to Dinosaur Planet every time!
And now I unlocked Dragon Rock and as soon as I as I press A to enter the level it crashes the game.
Any suggestions on how to get by these? Google has no answers (and their AI answers direct to a bunch of inaccurate steps).

I finally got Fox, Peppy, and Slippy in the mail today from Play Asia. I now have all 4 of them in the collection since I got Falco a few days ago. Here’s some pics of them along with comparisons between them and their bootleg counterparts, plus a little bonus on one of the pics.

Was very curious to actually play this game cuz I'd only vaguely heard of it through various YouTube videos. Basically all I knew about it was three things-
It was the last game developed by Rare before they were basically dissolved during the Microsoft acquisition, putting it through the absolute worst kind of development hell
It was initially NOT going to be a starfox game, but they were kind of forced to pivot by Nintendo, so the story and setting make basically no sense for fox and andross to be part of
And the first 30 minutes throws you into a strange ship fight, a bunch of unskippable cutscenes with a terrible fake language, and a random character you've never seen before until the end of the tutorial (watched coney play the "first level" of every starfox game and his main takeaway for this one was "that's not a starfox game" LOL)
I felt like I knew enough of what I was getting into and yet it's still so disappointing. It's hard to believe that the same developers behind this game made banjo kazooie four years prior. It genuinely feels worse in every way, even than donkey kong 64 and that was a janky mess at times. I see people comparing it to OOT a lot but that's giving it way too much credit, it's far more like DK64 in every way, especially the "puzzles". They mostly just amount to "shoot this spot to open a passageway" and "use one of your three abilities that act like a bomb to open this passageway".
I genuinely cannot get over the fact that they made a 3d game on the GAMECUBE IN 2002 and don't have a free cam. It's horrific game design, and the incredibly limited camera angles make it so easy to miss tiny crawlspaces, bombable walls, and blaster spots that otherwise would be right in your face. I'm constantly spamming the button to center the camera just so I can see where I'm walking.
The only thing that makes this game anything at all like OOT is the forced auto jump, buttons on the screen, and a few other UI elements and animations like for chests and collecting new items. It's a bad comparison mostly because if they had copied MORE from OOT it would be a drastically better game.
I've only just finished the first boss at dark ice mines, and I plan on finishing the game mostly due to my own morbid curiosity, but anyone who actually thinks this game is a "hidden gem" should probably replay any of rare's prior games to see what this developer could actually do.

For anyone who watches Matthew Gafford's webseries: In Episode two, there’s three times when a character refers to what I assume is a form of military for them or something.
In the scene where James is stopped by security, the scalie dude refers to James as a “CAF captain”
When little Fox is riding with Fara and Wolf in the car, Fox says he "got into CFA".
In the followup short with Bill in the interrogation room, one of the security officers refers to Fara as “AFC Fara Phoenix”.
Are all these supposed to refer to the same organization? Or are they all totally different? If they’re all different, it’s interesting that they all use the exact same letters, but moved around. Maybe they're all just kinda made up on the fly? lol

Javier Gonzalez
Species: Cougar/Puma/Mountain lion/Catamount/Deer Tiger/Red Tiger/Panther
Height: 6ft5
Latino
Javier Gonzalez is a drifter just like Panther who also left the army. Only difference was he left by choice, where as Panther left because of being accused for treason. Javier is known for having his fangs slightly sticking out because his dad's side of the family originated from Smilodon Populator

Had this idea from watching the slow mo guys. Those two in the second image made me wonder of fox and falco doing that lol (slippy was the cameraman recording in slow mo) who do you think popped it first?
