Troubleshooting Gigabyte B650E Wifi6E Issue - No Bootable Device Found

I recently built my first PC and have been having issues getting it to work. After a bit of troubleshooting, I narrowed the issue down to the boot device tab on the BIOS, which refuses to detect both the SSD and the HDD that I have installed in my build. I've tried looking this issue up and attempted a few of the solutions I found online, but nothing I've attempted has worked.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte B650E Wifi6E, the SSD is a PNY M.2 2280 SATA (which I received a while back but never took out of the box), and the HDD is a Seagate BarraCuda ST2000DM008. To save everyone a bit of time, this is everything I've tried so far:
- Reseated both the SSD and HDD.
- Installed the driver updates for the motherboard via a USB.
- Enabled the CSM settings in the BIOS.
- Attempted to adjust the NMVe settings, but no devices were found.
- Attempted to go through with the Windows 11 installation. The setup functioned properly until getting to the installation menu when no devices were detected to install the OS onto.
- Attempted to convert drives to GPT via Command Prompt on the Windows installation, but they were not visible there either.

Every other component of the build is showing up on the BIOS properly, so I assume it's something with the drives themselves rather than the motherboard, especially since I was able to get both a standard USB and the Windows installation to work. My running theory is that there's a compatibility issue with the SSD due to its age and the HDD I received is just faulty, but I would like to make sure of this before I sink the money into replacing them.

Build Upgrade Intel Arc B580 Titan OC (£350) vs RX 9060 XT 16GB (£450+) help me spend my money

I built this PC last May for around £550, and yes, I know the build is a bit all over the place I borrowed a mate’s spare GTX 1650 4GB to get it running, but honestly, I mainly played Valorant and Minecraft, so I never really needed anything more powerful.

Now I fancy getting into some more demanding single-player games, and I’d love to use better Minecraft shaders without my PC fighting for its life

My specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X
Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
Motherboard: ASRock B650M Pro RS
RAM: 16GB DDR5-5600
GPU: GTX 1650 4GB
PSU: Gigabyte 650W
Case: CiT Flash MicroATX

I’m stuck between the Intel Arc B580 Titan OC for £350 and the RX 9060 XT 16GB for £450+.
I’ll mainly be gaming at 1080p for the foreseeable future. Is the 9060 XT worth spending an extra £100+ on, or would the B580 be more than enough for what I want?

Also, do you reckon either card will run GTA 6 well when it eventually comes to PC?

Would love to hear your thoughts, especially from anyone who owns either card. Which would you go for?

Build Upgrade Is it worth trading my RX 6700 XT 12GB for an RTX 5060 8GB?

Hi everyone, My friend wants to trade his ASUS Dual RTX 5060 8GB for my XFX RX 6700 XT 12GB, with no extra money involved. I mostly play FPS games, occasionally play story games, and stream from time to time. But mainly playing FiveM atm. I game at 1080p. Would this trade be worth it in terms of gaming performance, VRAM, and streaming?

My specs:

  • GPU: RX 6700 XT 12GB
  • CPU: i7-14700KF
  • Mobo: MSI B760 Gaming Plus WiFi DDR4
  • RAM: 32GB DDR4 3600MHz

Build Ready? Help me choose which RAM is the best

Here is my current PC build:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition
GPU: ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 32GB
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20
CPU Cooler: ASUS ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20
SSD: Samsung 9100 PRO PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD
PSU: ASUS ROG Thor 3000W Titanium III Edition 20
I’m looking for the best possible RAM for gaming, but I’m not sure which one would be the best choice for my build.
Could anyone recommend the best RAM for my setup? I’d really appreciate specific recommendations, including the exact model, capacity, speed (MT/s), CL, and other relevant specifications.
My main priority is maximizing gaming performance. I’m looking for the best option rather than the cheapest, so budget isn’t a major concern.

Build Help Seasonic Focus GX-850 (2024) vs Corsair RM850x for an RTX 4080 Super. Which would you pick?

I’m replacing a be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 850W that keeps shutting my system off under sudden GPU/CPU load, even with power limits and an undervolt. I’m choosing between these two ATX 3.1, single-rail, native 12V-2x6 units:

Seasonic FOCUS GX-850 (2024), GX-850W Corsair RMx Series RM850x (2024)

Build: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Gigabyte RTX 4080 Super GAMING OC, Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX, 32GB DDR5-6000, Fractal Design North XL.

Which would you pick, and why? Have either had transient-related shutdowns or RMA experience? I’m mainly interested in real-world reliability, fan noise, and how each handled spikes.

Build Upgrade Recommendations for a 34“ ultra wide monitor

I want to upgrade my build with a second monitor and thought about going with a new 34“ ultra wide monitor next to my 27“ qhd monitor. Best case I mount both monitors next to each other on a monitor arm.

This is my current monitor: LG Ultragear Gaming Monitor 27GP850-B

Any recommendations for the monitor? Maybe there are some budget versions under 400€?
As I am inexperienced with this, I would gladly hear your thoughts!

Build Upgrade Would my motherboard support a bluetooth PCIE card?

Hello, I'm currently looking at bluetooth cards for my pc as it doesnt have bt/wifi built in and I saw that these cards require me to use a connector to power them for bluetooth. I was trying to look at my motherboards user manual to see what I need to connect it to, but the manual doesnt explain all the ports on the motherboard for some reason.

The wifi/bt cards i found say they need a 9pin power cable connected to the motherboard and Im not sure if the one free 9 pin port is correct since its unlabeled. My motherboard is a ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO and the port im talking about is the port left of USB1112.

This is probably super obvious but I just want to make sure I can buy a card without issue.

Discussion Replacement fan in FlexATX (40mm fan)

I want to replace the fan in my little PSU. Its FlexATX formfactor which means it uses a tiny fan of 40x40x15mm, which limits my options, but it also means that fan is very noisy.

Now i could just swap it out with a Noctua fan of the same size, but looking at the specs i think i would murder my PSU, as Noctua fans are nowhere near the specs of the stock fan:

MGA4012WB-O15 (Stock) NF-A4x10 FLX NF-A4x20 FLX
CFM 23.5 4.83 5.53
mm H2O 38.4 1.78 2.26
RPM 18000 (yes 18k) 4500 5000
Noise db(A) 55.2 17.9 14.9

It is quite cramped inside the PSU, so I believe that due to its size, it has to run the fan at that insane RPM to make enough pressure to force air through the PSU right?

Do you have any suggestions on what to do?

Build Help Worth upgrading to newer card with less VRAM?

Hey all. My current GPU is the 7600XT 16GB. As with everyone right now I'm getting insane "FOMO" so to speak over rising prices. So, as the title says, I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to a newer GPU with less VRAM as my current budget is, at most, 500€, ideally 450 and below. Use is for 1080p gaming, minimum 60fps with mayyyyybe some wiggle room for 144hz. Rest of specs are as follows;

  • CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
  • MoBo: Asus A320M-K
  • RAM: 32GB DDR4 (insane lucky find of off FB Marketplace for about 60€)

Build Help Good DDR5 with dummy RGB sticks?

I've been looking to upgrade my PC recently and it's come to the RAM, my initial choice was G.Skill trident Z5 6000MT/s CL30 2x32GB sticks, but then I figured out that they don't have a dummy module pairing. I know that Corsair does a dummy kit for their RAM but I've heard from others that corsair memory has errors more often than others. Ive done further digging but I can't seem to find any with the performance I want, as well as matching dummy sticks. Anyone got any suggestions?

Build Help RX 9060XT 8GB vs 9060XT 16GB vs 9070 GRE 12GB

So as the title suggests I have a dillema on what card to choose. The rest of the components would be:
CPU - Ryzen 5 9600X
Motherboard - MSI PRO B850-S WIFI6E
RAM - Patriot Viper Venom 16 GB CL30 (with upgrade to 32 GB when money is less tight)
SSD - Patriot P400 Lite 1 TB
And a sufficient PSU.

I didn't have a proper gaming PC in 6 years (I had a 'gaming' laptop with 256 GB of storage, more than half of which was taken by programs for my studies) and I have a lot of 'older' games to play through and I'm not chasing extremely good graphics (The only other gaming PC i had was running a GTX 960 so I'm used to playing at high graphics settings at best). The aim is to have stable 60 FPS in games such as Eldenring, Cyberpunk or RDR2 so the question is what card to use. At the moment in my country (Poland) the prices are as such:

9060XT 8 GB (503$)
9060XT 16GB (722$)
9070 GRE (722$)
For reference:
9070 (825$)
9070XT (1005$)

Up to this point I was leaning more towards the 9070 GRE or the 16 GB 9060XT but I came upon some benchmarks claiming that for the uses I'm aiming for the 8GB 9060XT would be sufficient enough and pocketing that 220$ difference has started to look more and more appealing. The only question is how much truth those benchmarks were telling. I also want to preface that waiting some more time to save for better cards is kind of out of question for me, as I could swear that a month ago the 16GB 9060XT was 200$ cheaper and I want to avoid another price surge.

Thanks in advance for any advice/opinions.

Build Upgrade 7900 XT vs 4070 Ti, which should I get to replace an aging 3070?

Hi all, I've been trying to help my friend upgrade her Fractal Terra PC for awhile. These are the specs at the moment:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D
CPU Cooler: Thermalright AXP90-X53 Full Copper
Motherboard: ASRock B650I Lightning WiFi
RAM: 32GB Micron OEM 2x16GB 4800MHz CL40 (I know I know)
Storage: 4TB WD PC SN730 Gen 3 NVMe SSD
GPU: Gigabyte Eagle GeForce RTX 3070 8GB
Case: Fractal Design Terra Jade
PSU: Cooler Master V850 SFX ATX 3.1 80+ Gold
Monitor: AOC Q27G41ZDF 27" 1440p 240Hz QD-OLED

She mainly plays Minecraft, Baldurs Gate 3, and Arc Raiders. But sometimes when she plays heavier single-player games like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, and Clair Obscur E33, there is noticeable stuttering with high settings, something she is now concerned about.

We've narrowed down two options that are available locally on Facebook Marketplace:

  1. Sapphire Pulse 7900 XT 20GB for $500, seller has a full test rig and has offered to run some benchmarks live before we buy.
  2. MSI Ventus 3X OC 4070 Ti 12GB for $450, seller has agreed to let me bring a test rig so I can test in my trunk using a portable generator.

I've confirmed that both cards will fit in the case, but I am conflicted on which one to get. I know that the 7900 XT has 20GB of VRAM over the 4070 Ti's 12, and does get FSR 4.1 (albeit INT8 and not FP8). But the 4070 Ti has DLSS and slightly better FG, better ray tracing, and is slightly more power efficient. In your opinion, which would be a better buy?

Edit: Thank you all for your help! We decided to go with the 7900 XT and will be picking it up today, also because the 4070 Ti seller seems to have started an unofficial "bidding war" for his card, with the price going up to $500 according to the best offer he has gotten.

Build Ready? First pc build ever beginner help

Pcpartpicker link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wm7mNp

Is this a good build, I've been researching as I went trying to decide what to buy.

I want a build to last me as long as possible without issues, I wanna game at 1440p or 4k if I can, max graphics and I'm gonna use mods a lot.

I don't care that much about fps. Never gamed at more than 60 fps, but of course more would be better.

Monitor that I already own: Dell Alienware AW3225QF 32" QD-OLED UltraHD 4K 240Hz. love it

My budget is around 4000€

The only components I'm not sure about are the motherboard (I've read some models can fry you CPU and vrms are really important) Also wich bios is better?

Power supply: I've read seasonic and Corsair are good but can't decide which.

CPU cooler: would a aio be better then fan?

Also need help if I should buy extra cables or accessories that I'm going to need

In the website there are no compatibility issues but I wanna make sure everything can fit and work together without issues.

Discussion SSD and Power Supply

Which Power Supply and SSD should I buy for my PC?

PowerColor Red Devil 9070XT
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
16x2(32GB)Ram

I searched and it says better to go with 1000W for full utilization for Red Devil 9070xt whereas 850W is base.
