make sure u read the last image ( core v/f curve )
*cool ur cables ...
*only for water cooled cards or for chips that stay below 60c ...
*the cable must be balanced enough so u dont pull higher than 9.2a
a very important note ...
video clock overclocking is for experienced folks
u can test it via virtual desktop "godlike mode" h.264+ 500Mbps on the quest 3 or via any wireless vr headset or with any type c vr headset that uses compression
it will lower the encoding letancy by a 1ms from 5ms to 4ms at +600MHz
but will fail with Adobe Premiere Pro when the gpu bus reach the 100% usage after 2/3 min
it will freeze the pc "hard lock" even with the "nvidia studio driver"
keep in mind ,,, in my specific case with the ultra 9 285k it required me to pump the
NGU voltage rail "VCCSA" to "1.45v in bios VCCSA LLC level 4" while i used to run 1.42v just fine
just to make the "Video clock offset +250MHz" stable !
*arrow lake is a very complicated chip ( everything is connected in a way that any small change here or there can destabilize the whole thing lol )
so u may have to do the same
stop raising Video clock until u see the vr purple artifacts or Bitrate artifacts insde the headset
or when the pc become unresponsive during an effects rendering on the Adobe Premiere Pro
if u don't want the hassle just leave it off
video clock offset : off
video voltage offset : off
the Other settings have 0 affect on the CPU.
and the card now boost higher earlier that's it ...
the performance increase was 11% from the stock 5090 astral OC "gaming wise"
if u have the regular astral u may see 12%/13% performance increase from stock
the settings had a slightly higher Currents +0.02a and slightly higher NVVDD Power +18w
the power spikes can reach 606w at 1000ms of report rate
the gains u will see it when u r not power limited which is 99% of the time
for x bar / core / memory stability testing, a regular 4k/6k gaming on a flat screen or pcvr is the best way u can test it ... use "hwinfo64 graph"
and see the last drop in the voltage for the specific "voltage rail / frequency" when the gpu crash
in our case the GPU Core Clock / GPU Core Voltage ( NVVDD )
like the imgae : https://imgur.com/a/v5sH4Sr
and just lower the specific unstable point "2 point before and 2 point after" lower them all by a -30 MHz
and repeat until the whole curve is stable
the power limits r triggered only in rare occasions "only when benchmarking"
gpus are not cpus ... power limiting is a normal thing on gpus "thanks to nvidia" ... but can affects cpus significantly ! which is another topic. so u r good
a note :
never do higher than a 600w. on one connector !
u really dont need higher than 600w. i mean u got the "5090 matrix" performance at 600w by just adding a +50mv = 0.050v on each voltage rail
so if u want to do a higher power to raise the frequency even more do it on ur own risk.
for anyone curious :
room temp 25c.
water temp 27c-35c under load.
liquid metal : TG conductonaut
mVolt+ v0.50.5
