We've teamed up with ASUS for the 2nd round of Upgrade What Matters. Like the last round, you have a chance to win a prize from the main event, and we even have a prize specific for the r/battlestations community.
The global giveaway is running until Dec 31st, and you can enter it here. There's a ton of different prizes you can win, check out the list below for the grand prize and more. There's over $15,000 USD worth of prizes available.
The r/battlestations exclusive giveaway will run from today, October 8, 2026 thru October 22, 2026. Again, the r/battlestations exclusive prize is listed below.
(1) Grand Prize: Pick your Dream Build Upgrade! Choose from the image below.
Visit the ASUS Upgrade What Matters microsite and register to the Gleam.io Giveaway and complete as many tasks as you'd like - the more tasks you complete on Gleam the better your chances of winning.
Use the 'My Dream ASUS PC Setup' tool (photo attached) on the campaign page or Link to build your ideal rig.
Copy the build generated from the tool above, paste it into a comment on this post, and share what's the first game you'd build this rig for?
Comment in this thread with the generated link to your build.
You'll be entered in both the main event and r/battlestations event.
Winner selection:
r/battlestations prizes - potential winners will be selected by the r/battlestations mod team. The selections will be based upon comment, story and username. ASUS will then cross-check these usernames against their Gleam entry scores and will pick the final winner.
ASUS Global Prizes - winner(s) for each section will be selected by ASUS based on total Gleam entry points; the more points you earn, the higher your chances of winning!
Recently moved and decided I want to do what I want to do instead of just imagining what I will do in the future for my setup. Many things I’d like to add eventually. Haven’t really shared my setup outside of friends before. Let me know what you guys think.
Wanted to share my setup I use for work in software development, my main gaming machine, and also for supporting my side hobby as a photographer. Recently made a few bits to improve the overall quality of life like the Shure MV7 mic and stand for improving quality of audio in meetings, the Fiio K7 DAC / AMP for jams while I’m working, and a UGREEN thunderbolt dock which cleaned up a lot of cables and all works off the single cable to the Mac.
The room itself ain't the comfiest, but I'm damn proud of my machine. As someone who dove headfirst into the ever-shifting hyperreality of the Internet, this is the capstone of my terminally-online era. I call her Hinako.
Limited space but has everything I need. I always dreamt of a white/orange/aqua setup and started putting one together last year. Currently replaying Cyberpunk 2077 :)
Just spent a pretty penny on a new setup and felt proud so I wanted to show off a little. I’d love any advice or opinions on things to change/add as I’ve never done this before.
Here’s my current setup! I’d love to hear your thoughts. What would you improve, and do you have any ideas for making it more comfortable, practical, or visually appealing? I’m open to any suggestions
Flexispot E7 plus 55”, AW3926QW, Steelcase Leap V2, Edifier M60 speakers, Nuphy Air V3 75/Wobkey Rainy 75 keyboards, 9800x3D/64GB DDR5 6000, 4080 super OC, NR200P Noctua air cooling. Steam deck OLED 3TB with killswitch case, Mindy the cat - she’s a bitch.
44x50” tempered glass chair mat and quintis monitor light are on the way, plus a couple shorter Ethernet cables but it’s about 95% done. Ready for WoW forever. (The whole reason I built this and got off the couch/tv setup)
