Penny is a 1 year old female tabby cat. She’s litter trained, dewormed, vaccinated and sterilised. She’s extremely friendly and easy to handle. She’s based in Pune but can travel to Mumbai and Bangalore.

With patience, she can get along with other cats if you decide to have another in the future but for now, we’re looking for someone who doesn’t have another pet. She needs to be the first cat in the household.

She’s used to staying alone for a few hours that are compatible with work timings but she’ll also be a great companion to wfh folks. She usually sleeps throughout the afternoon.

She doesn’t like being confined to one room/limited space and needs to have access to the whole house to feel comfortable. Penny’s always been an indoor cat and should continue to remain so.

She’s very playful and some of her favourite toys are catnip mouse, feather toys, balls and having cat trees and cat perches and shelves since she loves heights as well. Cats are generally a huge fan of vertical space and so is Penny. She’s also a cat tv lover. Since she won’t have a companion for the time being, she needs attention towards playtime from her adopter. This means you have to dedicate some time before and after office to play with her and tire her out.

Penny can be a night owl but as long as she has access to the whole house and is comfortable, she understands when people are sleeping and eventually settles down too.

Penny currently eats Smylo wet food (two packets in a day, one for breakfast and one for dinner) along with Royal Canin dry food for lunch. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable with providing good nutrition - so they either stay on these brands/diet or switch to other higher quality brands.

Penny loves an organised environment and doesn’t do well with unhygienic spaces and behaviours like not cleaning her litter box and bowls frequently.

Penny will be a great choice for first time adopters/people who have experience with cats. She’ll require 2-3 days to decompress and a week to properly settle down but it all depends on her pace.

Reason for putting her up for adoption: Penny was rescued last Diwali because she got separated from her mother due to firecrackers. She was adopted in March but due to the adopter’s neglect, she ran away from the house twice and we had to get involved again when we understood that they weren’t actively searching for her. We’re cat rescuers and therefore can’t keep every cat we rescue because then we’ll run out of resources to help others.

Penny has stayed with multiple fosters and we’re pretty confident in her behaviour as a single cat. With another cat, it can be a hit or a miss but she’ll do well with younger kittens.

Adoption formalities are mandatory. We’re looking for serious adopters - people who know they can provide a stable environment and can commit to a pet for their lifespan. We’re not looking for students or bachelors who are not sure of their future plans as adopters.

Nubu is a 3.5 month old male kitten. He’s litter trained, dewormed and vaccinated. He’s very friendly, playful and great with other dogs and cats. He’s a very desensitised cat - meaning he’s used to human touch a lot. Loves to cuddle but only after he’s done with the shenanigans for the day.

He was rescued after a dog bit him. He was barely able to walk and lost his tail after that incident but with medication and therapy, he’s walking again! He’s still a little wobbly but as he gains more strength with age, he’ll walk like any other cat. He has absolutely no difficulty in playing, doing his litter or any other activity that cats do. He’s just a little wobbly.

He’ll be a great addition to any household - first time pet parents or a multi pet household.

I completed Pune to Goa (Candolim) last week via NH 48.
Here is the latest route conditions.

Pune (Kharadi) - Swargate - Satara - Kolhapur - Sakeshwar/Gadhinglaj - Ajara - Amboli - Sawantwadi - Candolim

Goa to Pune - same route as above

25kms before and after Kolhapur has lots of diversion
Even the completed stretch road surface is not that great

Sankeshwar - Gadhinglaj - Ajara - Amboli - Sawantwadi excellent roads. Widened, concrete surface, not a single pothole in this 100km stretch with Zero toll. NHAI can learn something.

Driving time 8hr 15mins.
Sankeshswar to Amboli took 60 mins without crossing 80km/hr.
Started at 520am, reached destination ~245pm with multiple breaks.

so i met my friend almost after a year and while talking he reminded me of last year incident which happened with us

so it was september of 2025 and it was our midterm paper time so all of my tution friends were inside tution only most of time so 9am to 12pm and then next class used to be at 3pm to 7:40pm

between we used to get a 3 hour break and one day we all decided to haev chinese food on the streets

we ate the fried rice but i didnt really like cuz it was too spicy and hot so i just had 2 3 bits and left it meanwhile other guys had already finished it

after paying the bill the stall helper asked how was the food one of my friend said nice but why did you put jeera in friend rice? he said what we dont even have jeera

i was eating at that time so my plate was full we showed him this and he casuallly said nah its dea* ants in the rice and like not 1 or 2 it was many we thought its jeera

should i mention the place name too? i dont really know if that stall is still there or not it was like plastic chairs and table with the guy cooking inside a room near road signal

after that incident i never had chineese food

I wanted to ask students, especially current students or alumni of Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune, about the actual hostel rules.

Basically, I was planning a movie date with a girl who stays in the Cummins hostel. She told me that she can't go out at night because her hostel doesn't allow her to stay out after 8:30 PM.

I suggested that she could stay overnight at a female friend's place, but she said that's not possible either because the hostel might call her parents. I then suggested that she ask her parents for permission and tell the hostel that she's staying with a female friend, but she still said the hostel is too strict.

So, I wanted to ask:

1. Is the 8:30 PM curfew actually enforced at Cummins College Pune?

2. Do hostel students need prior permission from the warden and their parents to stay overnight outside?

3. Does the hostel really call parents to verify where a student is staying?

4. Are students allowed to stay overnight at a female friend's place if their parents give permission?

I'm not trying to create any trouble for her. I just want to understand whether these restrictions are genuinely that strict or whether she might simply not be comfortable with the plan.

EDIT 2 - i am not complaining about water in swimming pool, i am complaining about 1400 families not getting drinking water for 4 days. Water for bathing and cleaning for 4 days. And committee absolutely failing to accept accountability. If you okay with spending 1cr+ and not getting any water or accountability then this society is for you.

The society name is VTP leonara and the project is called blue waters. There is noo water since 4 days. Maybe 2 hrs or 4 hrs max in few days and of course society management is useless. They have no action plan, no deadline and of-course no accountability. My recommendation at the end for everyone in Pune.

TLDR for dumbs dumbs - The complain is not about swimming pool. The complain is about not getting water for 4 days straight. Drought yes, water needs to be managed and not wasted. Not receiving water with no deadline, no plan, and no action is complain. The complain is more of the society and its mismanagement.

I'm setting up an office near Ideal Colony and will be there Mon-Fri, so I'm looking for lunch places I can eat at every day. I train, so I want a decent amount of protein at lunch without it being oily or heavy.

What I'm looking for:
- High protein: chicken, eggs, paneer, soya, dal and curd are all fine with me
- Healthy, not deep-fried
- Affordable enough to eat daily
- Walking distance or a short bike ride from Ideal Colony
- Dine-in or quick pickup, since lunch is around 12:30

I've seen Dine Wise and Lean Raw mentioned but don't know how they hold up for daily eating or value. Tiffin services and monthly meal plans are welcome too.

I grew up in Pune and will be visiting India in January with my boyfriend. We aren’t married, and although I’m Indian and familiar with the culture, I’m a little concerned about dealing with unwanted attention or judgement when travelling together as an unmarried couple.

My parents will also be joining us for part of the trip, so I’d love to plan a nice getaway for the four of us where everyone can relax and enjoy themselves.

I’m particularly looking for:

1. A really good resort in Lonavala, Khandala or Mahabaleshwar for four adults. Somewhere clean, beautiful, safe, with good service, great food, nice views and ideally a pool or spa. We’re happy to pay more for a genuinely good experience. A luxury resort or a private villa with a pool would be lovely.

2.Things to show my boyfriend around Pune and Maharashtra. I’ve already grown up here, so I’m not looking for the usual tourist checklist. I’d rather show him the food, culture, nature and everyday life that make Maharashtra special.

1. Less crowded places and experiences. I’d prefer to avoid extremely crowded attractions and the usual tourist rush. I’m not particularly keen on visiting Dagdusheth and similar packed places this time.

Please recommend some good fish restaurants near Tilak Road / Sadashiv Peth / Deccan that serves great options.

Would love the recommendations that are worth it without pinching the pocket much
