Kitchen Drain cleaner for kitchen/shower
Hi there, has anyone used this? It was recommended to me by a coworker for my kitchen drain which often clogs. Yay or nay? It was recommended to her by a plumber.

⚠️Content warning ahead: feces and bodily fluids.⚠️
I’m not sure if this is the best sub for this or if there is a better one. I have been extremely embarrassed about this subject and am unsure of what to do. I am still pretty sick so forgive me if some of this post is a little off as I’m still sleep deprived and wonky.
Tuesday morning around 5am, I woke up on the couch covered in pure liquid, mucous-y diarrhea. I have never been quite so traumatized before. I had been up all night vomiting and diarrhea, usually simultaneously, and was finally able to sleep for about an hour but lost control of my bowels (I still have not much control and have had to start using diapers) and it was all over the couch.
My poor poor husband was the one unfortunately who had to clean it up. He first went in with gloves and cleaned with paper towels and an all purpose cleaner, but then told me he was worried because even though he got the poop out, the smell was still just emanating in the living room. I ended up getting an enzymatic cleaning solution (Biokleen) and he went in with that and doused the couch with it, let it sit and then put a fan near the couch to help it dry. A few hours later, he could still smell it so he drenched it in even more of the Biokleen and used almost the entire bottle.
This horrifically still wasn’t enough. He went and got rubbing alcohol and went in with a cloth and scrubbed the couch down, but this morning he said there is still a faint odor of feces on the couch when he gets his face near the area. We are at our wits end of what to do and I am still too sick to really do much of anything to help. We are worried we may have to get a new couch entirely which we simply cannot afford right now.
Is there anything else we can do at this point to save our couch? Our cushions unfortunately do not come out from the couch so they are attached directly. I really hope there is something else we can do because truly we cannot afford a new couch right now and I have been feeling incredibly awful about all of it and literally would not be able to live with myself if I destroyed our couch because i got sick and couldn’t control my bowels. I’m so upset with myself and I just can’t figure out what to do.
Should we try more Biokleen and just keep dousing it and hope it will eventually get rid of the smell? Do we call a bio-hazard cleaner to help us at this point? i’m sorry if this sounds ridiculous but i’m genuinely just so broken up about this and don’t know what we would do if we had to get rid of our couch.
Thank you for reading and any help is greatly appreciate

I have tried icing (in a zip lock bag) and using my nails & tweezers with no luck. The bag has been in storage with this for a month.
I don’t want to be too rough with the fabric given the delicate material with the holes.

Hi all,
I've set out on a mission to clean my filthy tub and so far I've had pretty good results. What I've done is make a paste of two cups of baking soda and one cup of hydrogen peroxide, applied it to my tub, and let it sit for an hour. Then lightly scrub it and rinse. I've done this 5 times already and have made good progress.
But I'm reaching the point where there's diminishing returns on applying the past. Most of what is left comes off when I scratch with my nail, so I know I'm not far off. However, a non scratch brillo pad doesn't really do anything. What can I do at this point to finish the job without ruining the surface of my tub? Thanks!

I got some hand lotion smudges on a a brand new book! Is there any way to remove it?

We don’t even use it because it’s just so far gone. But we really need it to be clean enough to use. What products will actually clean this? A complete remodel is out of the question so I’ll use all the elbow grease I have to.

My toilet is a closet type with really tight spaces between the walls and toilet. The floor gets dirty over time with dust, hair and some pee splashes around it. It takes forever to bend down and clean the floor, with my face basically being near the toilet seat. What are some good mops that I could use every other day just to wipe down the floor? Any tips that would reduce my effort would be greatly appreciated. Image: not my actual bathroom, downloaded from the Internet.

Sometimes I can feel the lumps from these while laying in bed through the bedsheet. Does that also mean my bedsheets are poor quality?

Nobody has ever, or will ever, sit on the bedroom chair. The chair is the open mouth of future hell, tempting you to just put a few things on it, you're tired, or maybe the clothing isn't laundry dirty yet. Soon you have your entire wardrobe thrown onto this hell pit
Let us all spread the word, the bedroom chair is a trap, chuck it out.

I currently live in the USA Bible Belt. It’s not exactly Australia bug level but ..cardboard and wicker are from the devil. (Ants, flies, teeny beetles, cockroaches, pantry moths) are super common.
But long story short-nothing really should be uncovered. Ziplocks aren’t as good as glass for example.
Today I went to put away my big utensils - think ladles- and I saw sun flies landing on them. I was immediately grossed out.
I need recommendations or something- ideas - on how to keep my tools sanitary (kitchen drawers aren’t enough) without it being a pita.
Any thoughts?

Hi All,
I need some help with my blanket being extremely dirty. I never really noticed before but this is the first time in a year since I’ve bought it, it looks visibly dirty. Here are some photos for reference. What I tried today I used bleach and put it on normal wash cycle. Is there any other cycle I need to use? Is this blanket done for good or there are chances to revive it. Appreciate any help. Thanks!

I have been battling faint unpleasant smells in my front load washer for years now - Affresh, bleach, vinegar (yes separately not together) would improve it slightly but never eliminate it. My clothes while looking and smelling clean after washing would get a stale smell within days. Especially sheets, which also had an odd smoothness to them in the middle of the fitted sheet but not on the edges or top sheet (I figured it was just wear).
Kept getting brown grains/flakes around the edges of my detergent tray and water dispenser holes as well. It looked like bits of rust.
I was convinced my laundry habits were perfect - exclusively used Tide + oxi liquid, never overused detergent, washed everything on warm or hot, put vinegar in the rinse never fabric softener, left the washer door open and removed the detergent tray to dry after use and ran a clean cycle AT LEAST once a month. I also have a dehumidifier that runs in the laundry room. My washer should not have smelled.
Last month I bought a box of Tide powder. Washed sheets first - they came out looking and feeling like new - the weird smoothness was gone. After a week of sleeping on them they still smelled cleaner than if I had just washed them with my Tide liquid detergent. Mind blown. After a week of washing laundry in powder I ran a clean cycle in my machine (which drains into a laundry basin sink) and MASSIVE CHUNKS OF BLACK GUNK STARTED POURING OUT INTO MY SINK FROM THE WASHER.
Since then, washer smell is totally gone. Brown grain/flakes in detergent tray area, gone. Film on washer door that I was constantly wiping down, gone. And my clothes and sheets don’t smell stale anymore.
I am fully convinced that liquid laundry detergent is the result of collusion between detergent and appliance manufacturers to sell more of both products. The money and hours of my life I have wasted cleaning my machine and rewashing stale clothes…. I am so incredibly bitter.

I recently bought a second-hand massage seat from a local marketplace, and unfortunately, it has a very strong, curry-like or spicy cooking smell.
The smell seems to be embedded in the grey mesh fabric and possibly the foam padding underneath. It's quite unpleasant, and I'd really like to save the chair if possible.
Here's what I've tried so far:
- Left it outside to air out for an entire day.
- Cleaned the fabric with dish soap.
- Wiped it down with a disinfectant.
- Removed one of the covers and machine-washed it, but it still smells just as bad.
None of these methods has made a noticeable difference.
Does anyone have experience removing stubborn cooking or curry smells from furniture? Is there any realistic way to remove the smell..
I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

This has been consistently getting worse. I tried dawn power wash, dawn dish soap, and the pink stuff. No success. The surface is kinda grainy and not smooth. What should I try next?
