Yesterday, I went to Signature Bridge in Delhi, and the state of that place is honestly sickening.
The pedestrian walkway is completely buried under garbage. There isn’t even enough clean space to put your foot down. Plastic bags, discarded food, and piles of ritual waste everywhere. To make matters worse, people were casually throwing trash and plastic bags over the railing directly into the Yamuna. I took out my phone and started recording a video right in front of them, but not a single person cared or stopped. The sheer shamelessness was unbelievable.
What frustrates me the most is the hypocrisy. We constantly shout about becoming a "Vishwa Guru," but we don't even have the most basic civic decency. People cloak their sheer negligence in religious sentiment, dumping holy waste wrapped in single-use plastic into a river that is already dying. When you confront someone, the immediate deflection is: "The government isn't fixing the sewer lines, so why does my small bag matter?" The sewage system is failing, yes, but how does deliberately dumping trash into it solve anything?
We love to complain when people abroad stereotype Indians for a lack of cleanliness and civic sense, but incidents like this prove them right. It’s not just an administrative failure; it’s a deep-rooted cultural apathy. We want world-class bridges and infrastructure, but our collective mindset treats public property like an open dumpster.
Here is the video I recorded yesterday. Look at the state of this bridge and the river below. Until we stop excusing this behavior in the name of tradition or whataboutism, nothing will change.

I live abroad and only get to come back home to India once a year to visit my family. I look forward to spending quality time, catching up, and just relaxing with my family.
Lately, though, my dad has been glued to the TV news, especially the coverage regarding the CJP protests. He is totally into the pro government narrative. You guys know the usual script.
Yesterday, the TV was blaring, the rhetoric was toxic. I pushed back slightly and asked him to look at things a bit more critically or at least turn the volume down.
It instantly escalated into an argument. The whole evening was ruined, my mood is completely wrecked, and it honestly made me question why I even bothered booking tickets to come back.
The worst part? My own father called me a *deshdhrohi* (traitor) just because I didn't echo his TV-fed talking points. I’m only here for a short while longer, but the house atmosphere is so heavy right now.

It's the supporters who are criticizing them for a mistake they have made. I agree that trespassing Jantar Mantar and giving this govt a clear reason to hold them hostage wasn't the brightest thing to do. But every sportsperson will tell you that mistakes are a part of the game. They overshot and now they will recalibrate.
But to the supporters who were getting a high from JM 1.0 and are now saying they are idiots and deserve this treatment: what did you really expect from them? A perfect innings? If you can't stand with them in tough times then you don't deserve them standing up for your rights.
As far as BJP supporters go, I can actually understand them. They have identified too strongly with the wrong idols for the last 12 years and now they feel their identity is being hurt so they latch onto fake media for support

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on UN comments on CJP Protests : "UN Experts are oxymorons. It’s a domestic political matter. We won't get into this. They have a democracy. They have elections here. We have protests every day in the United States"

Used to think this is a boomer uncle thing but apparently not.
Everyone is scrolling reels nowadays in the metro and while that in itself is not a problem, the major issue is they scroll reels without earphones on full volume. I mean c'mon, a cheap earphone costs like 150rs.
And it's not even just metro. Its all public places. There are kids watching TMKOC on full volume, uncles scrolling reels, people talking on phone with speaker on in public.
No civic sense at all.

As jio ipo was about to launch, I started seeing so many people posting about this and even making videos related to this. The thing which surprised me the most is that the people who used to criticize Ambani were also making posts and videos in favour of jio. This shows that the online influencers don't have any ideology or anything they will follow wherever money calls them

Walk for democracy, no slogans, no flags, no placards, your sneakers and your favourite podcast, 7AM to 8AM, every morning, anywhere you are in Delhi.
Just post a picture/story with #WalkforDemocracy . More eyeballs, more visibility, more traction that cannot be taken down. This regime cannot detain us, we are just walking, individually.
Amplify.

The Shri Keshav Ramlila Committee is set to burn the cockroach effigy alongside the traditional effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnad at its grounds in Pitampura. The preparation for the event is underway, with the committee saying the initiative is intended to spread awareness about cleanliness and unhygienic conditions.
