A lot of that was due to poor management with EA. Tons of bugs and issues with Andromeda much of which stem from EA's mandate of using the Frostbite engine for every game. An engine built for battlefield meant to scale for an RPG. EA wanted a live service title fast to jump on the bandwagon and we got Anthem. No, its not great I agree, but they were working on an entry to a beloved franchise that was damn near guaranteed to hit a certain portion of the market even if it wasn't the best.
No studio deserves to die. That sounds more like shit management and poor decision making over bad development. We've seen this time and time again. Just look at what happened with Halo. Talented team led by the most inept group of people that managed to fail their way to the top.
Veilguard was also initially built as a live service only to shift late in development. EA has owned Bioware since 2007 so all of this is under their purview.
frostbite was 100 percent a bioware choice and heres the proof from the guy who chose it https://wccftech.com/ex-bioware-boss-ea-creative-freedom/ also you mention anthem but forget to add casey hudson is the one who pitched it being a live service multiplayer and guess who he was bioware again

Goddamn.. an industry legend in the dirt. Its not like this was a total surprise but I did think EA would give them one last shot.
