Chanting USA .. for not releasing the Epstein files is one of the most brain dead things

•

u/Belkroe 5h ago

nahh I think its right on brand.

•

u/kingsumo_1 Oregon 5h ago

It is! Harming children is a core component of conservative ideology. Hell, it's a load bearing one, by pretty much everything we've seen. Protecting pedophiles is up there with baseball and warm apple pie to these fucks.

•

u/External_Variety 3h ago edited 3h ago

Understand that if its the conservatives running the country and conservatives that voted for these representatives. Its no longer a fringe political party but the country as a whole.

•

u/kingsumo_1 Oregon 3h ago

I wouldn't say the whole country. But there is a reason I specified conservatives and not just Republicans.

I have zero respect  for the country  now. My definition  of a president  or member of Congress is someone  nearly totally  egotistical,  someone  racist  and misogynistic,  someone  xenophobic, individuals that act like it is okay to threaten  homicide  against  cities and countries,  individuals  that disrespect  the states and their history  and culture  in their own country, someone  that makes childish  arbitrary  decisions  without  asking what citizens  may think about it or how it might affect them,  someone  that marks territory like an ugly aggressive  dog, and above all, someone  that is simply grasping and greedy.

•

u/SupaKoopa714 3h ago

It's just funny how many Trumpers bought into the whole QAnon conspiracy, then it turned out a lot of that stuff was true only it was Trump himself that was behind it all and they suddenly all stopped talking about it.

•

u/benk4 4h ago

I think it's both braindead and right on brand

•

u/FauxReal 3h ago

Which is the complete opposite of what the brand pretended to be before the election. It was their biggest issue!

•

u/weareflocked 4h ago

It's both!

u/beren0073 5h ago

Defending pedophiles is part of the MAGA platform now.

•

u/RealGianath Oregon 2h ago

Just the wealthy ones. The poors still have to dream of a day when they can hit it rich and get away with all the sex and financial crimes their boy Donald flaunts.

u/Slaughterfest 3h ago

It's also unfortunately entirely to be expected. Prior to the election, I would say one out of every two people that I knew who cared about the Epstein files were conservatives. After the election all of them no longer wanted to talk about it.

It was a political issue that they thought that they could nail the clintons, Gates, etc.

Once it became clear but there were plenty of conservatives involved and there were also uncomfortable ties to the Israeli government, they all abandoned the idea of it being a problem with the exception of Thomas Massie, whose career they are ending because of it.

•

u/00Oo0o0OooO0 2h ago

Yes. Trump handled it so poorly, it changed from a right wing conspiracy theory to a left wing conspiracy theory.

•

u/DarbIey 1h ago

"The cheapest sort of pride is national pride; for if a man is proud of his own nation, it argues that he has no qualities of his own of which he can be proud; otherwise he would not have re course to those which he shares with so many millions of his fellowmen." - Arthur Schopenhauer

These morons have nothing else.

This country is doomed.

•

u/NeonElch 4h ago

Yeah I think so, even if Dems win in a couple of weeks and then pull it off in 2028, these folks are going no where and will strike again when voters become complacent again. I really see no way of fixing this shit outside of a long internet blackout.

•

USA = Underage Sexual Assault ?

•

u/Caffeinefiend88 4h ago

They are actually disabled as far as I can tell.

•

u/Accomplished_Lab_675 3h ago

It's not brain dead. It's a calculated and intentional effort to shape this country in the image of the modern GOP, which is to say, to shape it into a country that celebrates the assault (sexual and otherwise) of the most vulnerable.

•

u/aradraugfea 4h ago

Damn, I could tell from their healthcare, childcare, and education stances taht "Fuck them kids" was a Republican policy point going back decades, I just didn't expect it to get literal.

•

u/mrzurch 4h ago

It’s extra funny because it’s very symbolic of the US covering up the truth.

•

u/True_Loph 4h ago

It's because they don't have anything of substance to offer in return.

•

u/pchs26 3h ago

Their point is they are actively looking to silence the truth and saying we don't care.

•

u/Hillbilly_Boozer 3h ago

It's the default response that doesn't require thinking.

•

u/ElJabroniMahoney33 4h ago

“USA! USA! USA!” is like a 404 error for Trumpers. Don’t know how to react? “USA! USA! USA!”

•

And Vance's counter argument was saying the protestor had unwashed hair, which makes him a democrat, apparently.

Every day, Idiocracy is less sci-fi and more documentary.

•

u/Dapper-Roller 5h ago

The fact that the crowd’s response to “You protected pedophiles!” is to chant “USA! USA!” tells you everything about MAGA.

They aren’t denying it. They can’t. The entire GOP has been covering up the Epstein files, slow-walking the release, redacting Trump’s name. When you can’t defend it, you just chant USA louder to drown out the truth.

That protester is braver than everyone in that room combined.

•

u/throwawaylexluther 5h ago

They still defend it but I don't believe any of them actually believe it. My maga father admitted to me that pedophilia is not a deal breaker for home before he stormed out of family therapy.

I imagine most MAGA are like this too.

•

u/No-Cranberry6148 5h ago

Pedophilia is not a deal breaker? That's got to be one of the most shocking statements I've ever heard and this is an age where we've heard everything.

But out of curiosity, what does he think he is obtaining from this that's so precious that he can overlook pedophilia?

•

u/throwawaylexluther 5h ago

I honestly don't know.

These are the only things I learned from my parents during our family therapy sessions..

They never considered and still don't that they could be wrong

Pedophilia is not a deal breaker

Trans people are extremist for wanting rainbow sidewalks.

•

u/Automatic_Taste_7242 3h ago

And the world shattering ideology of just letting them quietly live their lives

•

u/MartiniPhilosopher 3h ago

It's not that he's getting anything from this.

It's that he believes children to be property. That's why they behave like this. That they act like everyone else is lying when others say it's actually terrible and harmful.

In their hearts, they think that children and women are property and you're allowed to do whatever you want to them.

•

u/lukaspixels 2h ago

It's been made abundantly clear that pedophilia is not a deal breaker for any of this scum.

•

u/burlap_underground 2h ago

They've been brainwashed to believe that however evil their guys are, the other guys are MORE evil, and are bringing about MORE destruction. So they have to accept whatever because accepting the more evil other guys is obviously worse.

It's quite insidious. And we're pretty fucked over it all.

•

u/MoistProlapse 5h ago

Sorry to hear your father is an irredeemable scumbag. At least you turned out alright.

u/throwawaylexluther 5h ago

•

"Do as I say, not as I do" is the single holy mantra of MAGA.

•

u/throwawaylexluther 5h ago

yep, and lots of therapy and deconstructing has made me realize that was my life growing up with him.

•

u/Continental__Drifter 1h ago

Glad you made it out the other side

•

u/TheAskewOne 5h ago

A few years ago maga was adamant that all LGBTQ people are "groomers". They used that word massively during the 2024 campaigns. They were obsessed over drag queens for supposedly "sexualizing children". Now they have to admit that they’re fine with pedophilia as long as it’s conservatives doing it.

•

u/Elvis_Lazerbeam 4h ago

Not to mention pizza-gate, which was supposedly all about busting a Democrat pedo ring. Funny how all-in they were when they thought it was the Democrats doing it. When it’s their precious leader doing it that’s fine though.

•

u/GetThePuckOut 3h ago

Only "big, strong men" are allowed to do things like sexualize children and abuse women.

Otherwise, how would anyone know how "big" and "strong" they are?

u/Maleficent-Storm8897 4h ago

Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes “common sense.” There’s a name for it, the illusory truth effect. Talk radio and Fox have spent 35 years running the experiment and the results are in.

u/From_Graves 5h ago

They don't defend it because they feel seen beating their sons and molesting their daughters, all while blaming their problems on black and brown people.

This is why they go to church on Sunday and worship a white jesus who will forgive them. No love like Christian hate.

•

u/Lady_Grantham2223 4h ago

I no longer go to church  at all.  I cannot  and will not worship  a deity like that.

•

u/From_Graves 4h ago

Church is just a support group for them ,they should be taxed

•

u/Ashendarei Washington 5h ago

Honestly I think the USA chants are plants (paid attendees) in the audience.   It screams damage control to me.

•

u/ShaveTheTurtles 5h ago

It makes you wonder if they plant people in the crowds to start chanting USA when something inconvenient comes up. Then the rest of the brain dead crowd starts chanting with them.

•

u/jokedem 5h ago

When all is said and done pedophiles are what’s left of his base. It’s still the most underreported crimes in society, families just sweep it under the rug.

•

u/Plus-Range3710 2h ago

There are people in the audience that work for the campaign that start the chants. It’s planned. Which is horrifying they are actively planning for hecklers to call the President a pedophile. Like the cognitive dissonance the people handling Trump must engage in to be aware of the Epstein files and than to actively engage in the cover up.

By endorsing Vivek’s ad in Ohio, JD sent a clear message out that he will always side with a child abuser if politics are involved.

•

u/JealousAstronomer342 3h ago

Well yeah. Part of why the US never ratified the UN’s Rights of the Child is because the right wing wants parents to be permitted to do what-the-fuck-ever they want their children. Children are property, not their own people in the GOP rule book so of course they will double, triple, quadruple down on anything that supports people who exploit children.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._ratification_of_the_Convention_on_the_Rights_of_the_Child

•

u/chatminteresse 3h ago

and remember folks, the US participated in the creation of the UN’s Rights of the Child.

The US is the only participating nation that has not ratified the children’s bill of rights to this day.

TLDR: US played along, virtue signaled, and then dipped out come time to sign this into law.

Almost like legislators in the US don’t want to formally protect children! Weird

•

u/Alarmed-Outside-8683 3h ago

Wow, this is new and nauseating information to me. So ashamed to be from this place.

•

u/BluWake Michigan 5h ago

Look at all those fresh red hats, right out of the plastic, for these paid attendees to chant USA! USA! in support of raping children.

•

u/Elegant_Tap7937 5h ago

All those holding "Will work for food" signs apparently have been rounded up for a bit of applause

•

u/Leven 5h ago

The hats trump is now selling for $55 each..

•

u/laptopaccount 5h ago

•

u/salamanderwolf 4h ago

Isn't a USA chant done in a show of pride? So in effect they are proud thier vice president protected a peadophile?

•

u/Corthaek 2h ago

I believe the chant is primarily used to drown out any rational thought that might threaten their ideology.

•

u/BeenDragonn 3h ago

I'd say everyone at the rallies is a registered sex offender

•

u/StevenMC19 5h ago

Feels about right.

1 person calls out a problem with those running the system.

A gaggle of others (likely some paid plants to sway the crowd as well...a bunch of Tommy's) feverously drown him out in support of those running the system.

•

u/SanchoPandas Oregon 3h ago

Crazy how all the Q people suddenly support protecting pedos. Guess it was never really about that at all.

•

u/BeenDragonn 3h ago

Q people were the pedophiles the whole fucking time

•

u/baatezu 3h ago

They hung out in the sleaziest sections of the internet, not that big a surprise.

•

u/TheFeshy 3h ago

I wonder what that guy sitting in jail for shooting up a pizza parlor, intending to free the sex-slave children from the basement of a building with no basement, thinks about all his friends and allies suddenly protecting pedophiles now while he serves time for (trying in a very stupid and dangerous way) stopping them.

•

u/Corthaek 2h ago

If he were still alive, he would have explained all of this away by simply ignoring any facts which are inconvenient to him.

•

u/Syncopia 2h ago

I suggest everyone watch Folding Ideas' video called 'In Search of a Flat Earth' on YouTube. It goes over flat earth as an ur-conspiracy theory and how it eventually folded into Qanon as a new ur-conspiracy theory. Basically they're meant to combine thousands of smaller conspiracy theories into one larger narrative that rationalizes insanity. He does a fantastic job breaking down the psychology behind Trump's cult toward the end.

•

u/SanchoPandas Oregon 2h ago

Q was never about catching pedophiles. It was about support for Trump beyond all reason and excuse for authoritarianism and killing democrats. Pedophilia eventually became the popular crime to accuse Trump’s enemies of but it was a later edition and even then was equal parts with cannibalism and Satan worship for a very long time before it took center stage.

These people show up to rallies not to think about what it is they're even listening to. They show up just to prop up the idea that those they support are popular and respond to everything the exact same way every time. During CPAC, the crowd was asked "who wants a Trump impeachment", expecting them to boo the idea. They stated the question in a positive sounding tone however, so the crowd cheered it. They're not bright at all. They just go there waiting for the moment they can collectively cheer "USA! USA! USA!"

•

u/Vegetable-Seaweed591 4h ago

They don't exclusively own that chant and they exclusively don't own our flag. It's about time the Dems took back patriotism and advocated for our Constitution for ALL Americans.

•

u/Alarmed-Outside-8683 3h ago

Their version of patriotism is about hurting the other team. Our version of patriotism is about taking care of people. I refuse to do any moronic chanting.

MAGA and the GOP protect pedophiles. This isn’t an exaggeration, and through their protection they are as responsible as Epstein.

•

u/Knighth77 3h ago

This is why we have horrible incompetent criminals running the country. Because of these brainless crowds.

Then when the crowd chants USA they will be agreeing with you.

The one token black Oprah looking woman in the stands should be ashamed of herself. Holy shit.

•

u/TomOnReddi 2h ago

Well USA is the country that supports and votes in pedophiles. So it only makes sense the majority of the crowd chants USA after a politician is called a pedophile protector.

•

u/barmanfred 2h ago

For y'all that don't know, there are distributed plants in the crowd that start shouting USA the moment a high risk dissonance event occurs. In some videos you can see them start before everyone else, nearly evenly spaced

•

u/Hyperica Pennsylvania 4h ago

The clip from the other day broke my brain because the guy shouts "God bless our children! God bless our children!" and the crowd starts booing him. Christian type shit

YOU SA, YOU SA, YOU SA - what they were really chanting

•

u/C_Woodswalker 3h ago

Chanting “USA!” is nothing more than thought-blocking chanting that prevents cult inducted dimwits from thinking critically about the situation that their “leaders” are in, and how truly fucked their country is.

•

u/oldpaddyrick 2h ago

It’s always been projection. They just want to point the spotlight at queer people so it isn’t pointed at them.

•

u/SwampCastleGuards 2h ago

Its amazing that gets people to chant USA

What is wrong with these people? Trump derangement syndrom i guess

Man I can’t wait for Democrats to get in there and release all those files.

•

u/ec3lal 4h ago

Does the Senate and House already have them? Blanche won't release anything even if demanded by Congress.

It is infuriating and deeply distressing how tolerant Americans have become of child abusers.

Oddly enough, when it comes to Catholic clergy abusing kids, collectively we cannot get enough condemnation of the Catholic Church.

But when it comes to evangelical pastors doing to such as Robert Morris? Well, he walked free after 6 months.

Or when the abuse is sports/academic related? Joe Paterno is still revered after he turned a blind eye to child abuse. President of Penn State Graham Spanier, VP Gary Schultz & athletic director Tim Curley were charged with perjury, obstruction of justice, and failure to report child abuse. All were aware of previous allegations and instances of child rape by Sandusky.
1. Spanier served 2 months.
2. Schultz also served 2 months.
3. Curley, well, he received the harshest sentence… serving 2.5 months in prison.

And Paterno is still revered.

But politicians… we demand the highest ethical behavior from them, right? Just kidding, we - collectively - are not merely tolerating the use of federal power to protect predators by our failure to speak openly and forcefully, many are celebrating it.
1. Rep. Bob Filner (D, California): accused by Diana DeGette of sexual assaulting her. He became mayor of San Diego. Multiple other women came forward and he resigned. He plead guilty and received 3 months of home confinement.
2. Rep. Mark Foley (R, Florida): sent sexual photos of himself and other messages to teen boys. He resigned but has had an otherwise successful career and is a Trump supporter.
3. Rep. Tim Mahoney, Foley’s replacement, himself was busted for putting his mistress on his staff and saying “you work at my pleasure.” Pretty predatory to me.
4. Rep. Jim Gibbons (R, Nevada): assaulted a waitress, paid a $50k settlement and was elected governor weeks later.
5. Rep. Eric Massa (D, New York): resigned to a pod an ethics investigation into his groping and “tickling” male staffers.
6. Rep. Anthony Weiner (D, New York): amongst other things, he was convicted of sexting with a 15 year old girl. His plea deal meant he avoided CSM charges. Served 15 months.
7. Rep. David Wu (D, Oregon): resigned after he made “unwanted sexual advances” towards a fundraiser’s underage daughter.
8. Rep. Blake Farenthold (R, Texas): he resigned after the government settled sexual harassment charges. He promised to pay back the funds but reneged.
9. Rep. Dennis Hastert (R, Illinois): former speaker, served 14 months for felony banking violations related to covering up sexually abusing boys when he was a wrestling coach. He even admitted the abuse too.
10. Donald Trump. We all know the shit he has done.
11. Rep. Jim Jordan (R, Ohio): he has been a used of covering up and failing to report numerous instances of child sexual abuse as assistant coach at Ohio State. The team doctor abused children under Jordan’s watchful eye as well. Jordan is still a MAGA darling in Congress today.
12. Roy Moore (R, Alabama): credibly accused of raping teen girls. He enjoyed Trump’s support, but lost. Other prominent republicans repudiated Moore, but some support him. Disgusting.
13. Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R, North Carolina): sexual assault, harassment, etc. He even bragged about it. He has also been accused or arrested/convicted multiple times for trying to bring a gun aboard a plane, driving offenses, failure to appear in court, campaign finance violations and insider trading. He lost his election but is out and about free.
14. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R, Florida): sexual “relationship” with a minor, sex trafficking, etc. Also, supported by Trump.
15. Eric Swawell (D, California): multiple rapes. Currently under investigation by the Manhattan DA.

Elon Musk has accused Trump of being in Epstein’s client list but are apparently pals now. Musk has poured hundreds of millions into this election cycle to elect prominent Trump republicans.

Some of the above served time, almost all of them received extraordinarily light sentences. Many never saw the inside of a courtroom. Some
Remain prominent.

Now we have a president wielding the powers of the federal government to protect himself and others. The VP is in lockstep with this sexual predator. And MAGA glorifies them all. Disgusting.

(Not sure how to express that this 'pedo protection' is 'insanely on brand' for a particular place and time... that correlates to a particular religion... is literally what the religion was accused of...)
