Recently got a perm on long hair there from Donna! They were so kind, funny as hell, super knowledgeable, fast, and very reasonably priced! I just wanted others to know in case anyone is having a hard time finding a good salon! It took me some time to find someone and I'm glad I saw others posts here about them!
Go there and support 🙌
*I can't post pictures for privacy concerns, but trust me, my hair is fucking fire 🔥 😍

Well, not really. But charging for air won't help.

I was in someone else’s car so couldn’t do anything about it, but I just saw a small black puppy with pointy ears trotting along without an owner.

I’m considering a move back to the area. We now have a 5 year old diagnosed as ASD, 2e, anxiety with most likely ADHD and more.
How has living in either Pittsburgh (looking at Highland Park, Aspenwall, Ben Avon) or Wexford area been for you?
I am looking for recommendations for:
—developmental pediatrician
—OT (who works with age/diagnoses)
—play therapists
—dentist
—GI doctor specializing in constipation (very important)
I know that Children’s has a department so I’m not looking for a general suggestion but specific doctors you have loved and why— feel free to message me!
Also would love to know if you have found any activities like gymnastics, swimming, martial arts that are sensory friendly and small consistent groups or even individual lessons working into a group. How has your experience been with being accepted into things/the community? (I’m sorry if my formatting gets messed up, I’m trying to make this concise) Thank you for any help!

Hi, friends. Long-time Pittsburgher here. Once upon a time (i.e. before we had a kid) my husband and I spent many an evening exploring different neighborhoods, eating at various restaurants, and going to see local bands. It was great. But, you know, life changed, and now we spend more time on the couch watching Bob’s Burgers after bedtime.
BUT- on Saturday night, we find ourselves free as our son has a sleepover at the in-laws. We are super excited for an evening out but also not sure where to go. We’d love a place with light snacks and good cocktails. Maybe also a great band? Jazz?? Or, at the very least, a good selection of amaro. We will be at an event in Lawrenceville in the late afternoon so would prefer near there, but are open to suggestions! Thanks so much in advance for your help and advice.

Been walking the dog the past 30 mins or so in point breeze and have heard fire and police sirens the entire time. Feeling nebby…is there some major fire going on? Hope everyone’s safe out there.

Looking for any stories or information for LIVING MATTERS LLC
Moved in to a temporary home managed by a small group.
Group consists of one person working who never responds to service or maintenance problems even emergencies.
Let me know if you’ve ever suffered from them as well

Anyone know any physical security manger/director roles hiring now?
Also has a background in corrections and CPS, if those are applicable as well.

Four years ago, someone asked the community how much on average does one earn daily and weekly via multi-app food delivery services (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Walmart Spark, Amazon Flex, etc.). Obviously, that was four years ago, and although wages never raise, it was still four years ago. So, my question is, what's it like now?

Unionized staff and faculty will come next. The unions have to sign a MOU with Pitt but it seems that the unions are being offered the same deal as non-union staff. Once the MOUs are signed, final details will be made public.
I was looking back at previous voluntary separation packages since 2000 (there were 2 iirc) and this is much more lenient in terms of age and service. Pitt is trying to slim down and fast.
From the pdf above-
What are the eligibility requirements for the 2027 VERP? There is both an age and service requirement. Employees must meet both the age and the service requirements to be eligible: o Age requirement: The employee must be a minimum of 57 years of age as of May 14, 2027. This means they have a birthday on or before May 14, 1970. o Service requirements: The employee must be employed in an eligible job type as of May 14, 2027 and have been continuously employed at the University in an eligible job type for the 10 years immediately prior to May 14, 2027. The University’s official records will be used to determine length and continuity of service and these records will control.

An acquaintance of mine has not been seen since Monday morning. She was staying in or around East Liberty. Her car was found in Squirrel Hill. The image gives all the other useful details. There are also news reports from WPXI and WTAE. Her friends and family are worried sick. Please take a look and if you think you see her or have seen her in the last three days, call 911.

I saw the Harp and Fiddle is opening early, and I know Pirmantis usually does, what other sports bars are having a 9am open this Sunday?
Specifically we’ll be out on Beaver Falls so if anyone has a suggestion for there or Cranberry Township, that would be helpful. Might as well get a list going for all areas though.
