DIGITAL North Park Filipino Association Fall Classic Trail Run (20K)

I had the honor of volunteering and running in North Park with the Filipino American Association of Pittsburgh for their annual trail race this year! I have never been up there before so it was refreshing to see such a lively place with kayakers, runners, and bikers zooming along the hills.
I had to help flag the course along Rachel Carson Trail and North Park on Saturday, proof it on Sunday before the race, AND run the actual race after proofing - and somehow I got 2nd in my age group. It was so much fun hanging out with everyone and enjoying the Filipino food and activities after the race finished, too.
They said next year they will improve a lot more and that it’ll be the event’s 20 year anniversary! Might just come back for that, hehe.

I stayed at the Wyndham a week ago, and when I checked in near dusk this was the view from my room. My dad used to laugh about the old Hilton, which had the initials PAH near its entrance. Those were also his initials. Well dad, I didn't get to know you all that well, but I still see you everywhere, especially when I return to my old home.
