Work is underway to turn a closed Rite Aid in Lancaster city into a new Dollar Tree discount store.
The former drugstore at 825 E. Chestnut St., which closed in August 2025, is now being renovated for Dollar Tree.
A Dollar Tree construction manager recently posted on LinkedIn about a new store coming soon to the location. In addition, blueprints labeled "Dollar Tree" were visible this week through the store window, where there is evidence of ongoing construction.
No one from Dollar Tree responded to a request for comment on the new store, including when it might open.
Dollar Tree has more than 9,000 stores in the U.S., including 10 in Lancaster County.
The Rite Aid along East Chestnut Street in Lancaster was one of more than 1,000 stores closed following a bankruptcy filing in May 2025 by the Philadelphia-based chain. Before filing for bankruptcy, Rite Aid had six Lancaster County locations.
Rite Aid leased the 11,000-square-foot building at 825 E. Chestnut St., which was constructed in 1997.
The store will be the second former Rite Aid in Lancaster County to become a Dollar Tree. A former Rite Aid at 1550 Columbia Ave. in Manor Township, also built in 1997, was renovated last year and opened as a Dollar Tree in November 2025.

Map - Follows the same tragedy of Urzikstan; Same old water system dividing the map, it's a hassle to traverse across the map without vehicles, redeploy tokens, faster movement (Dive-Parachuting of MW2022). No established main primary and secondary POI like downtown, and the airport of Al Mazrah. Map feels uncoordinated, you could tell what part of the map you were on without looking at the map back in Al Mazrah.

Restricted gameplay - Everyone should have a parachutes, and an unlimited amount especially when there are multiple hills and cliffs across the map. The bandaging system should be reworked, I shouldn't have to find a medkit or a hospital if I don't want to lose my temporary full health just before a gunfight against a player. Tanks? Really?.

Main complaints - Map is too large for the amount of players. UI is cluttered. Too focused on the AIs. DMZ 1.0 S1 AI is back. Map is ugly. Boring. Confusing. Does not feel like COD.

It's early access which means it's the best time to give feedback. I love Infinity Ward. I love Al Mazrah, and DMZ 1.0. But this is too much

So I was designing a skin theme for a personal music player app and was having trouble managing all the hex code colors during editing the json files and somehow i made this app instead.

It started during a weird barren work-related non-existence where barely any design jobs are coming my way and i decided to just have a fun project and made a personal music player. And yes, i was vibe-coding that one too just for fun cause hey what's another 20 bucks of claude subscription gonna matter if your credit card balance is already shot.

I was having a lot of trouble cause im trying to manage like 50 different hex codes on a page of code text editor hell just for a simple music app and my brain just gave up visualizing all the colors from all the text. I opened Obsidian like always when my head is shot and started listing them in a note. and after like the 10th time of rearranging a clumsy table on my note im like, you know what, ima code an obsidian plugin with ai cause why not?

I gave that up instantly after reading a bit on how to make obsidian plugins and 5 hour videos of codes that went in and out my brain so quick like its sliding its way slathered with lard and petroleum jelly.

Alright, a simple stupid web app it is. At least something, some squares of colors that can help me design things. Going back and forth in adobe photoshop/illustrator on this is a chore and their color swatch thing is hilariously unhelpful. I mean it works, but the annoying parts of the back and forth makes me scratch my eyeballs.

So I started making it with electron cause its the easiest bloaty web app platform I can manage to create without making my head explode, and somehow after a weird zen like hyperfocus I got to what I have now. Even got some nice useful things for managing other branding projects too

At this point its like hey this is nice, I can finally start on making this winamp/sonique bastard skin in a proper way, but then I got distracted again on how Icons are positioned... differently in my desktop...

My undiagnosed ADHD rears its head once more I blacked out for three days researching about how windows and mac icons have different placements and why does nothing look right and figured out why small icons are actually different and not a lot of free icon converters online are supporting multi image inputs for specific sizes and \continues rant for 2 more minutes inside my head**

...so another weird electron child is born. Right. Not to mention the three additional days i groggily spent coding this icon set converter that reminded me oh yeah I have another semi-abandoned side projects to design a whole frickin desktop icon set with like 10 different themes.

Such is life.

Anyway... thank you for reading my somewhat proud showcase and simultaneous rant. What I'm saying is. I need to get back to actual paid work. Oh and Obsidian helps me lots with this tumultuous scattered life. It gave me a small sense of organization and place to put my crazy thoughts into, and now i can put some ideas as colors blocks... too...

i’m not tryna be contrarian and this might be a hot take but has anyone else just not been able to stand his music the past ~2ish years. i think subtronics is one of the greatest acts to ever exist in bass music and he has done a lot to revive the scene and catapult it to the forefront of edm, but it really feels like he isn’t trying anymore and just satisfying the desires of the market. ever since “itchy scratchy”, i’ve noticed him trending towards these meme type hooks that go into completely random and non-cohesive drops that don’t really make sense in the context of a whole composition, especially for someone as skilled as him songwriting wise. Don’t get me wrong, i still think he is an incredible artist and relatively recent tracks such as a final breath and eyes cut deeper are phenomenal, but even eyes cut deeper feels like he just refried his crystallized remix nachos and threw original vocals over it. like you’re telling me the dude that made scream saver and spacetime is the same guy who made bird phone. don’t even get me started on this new id “dolphin cannon” cuz like wtf even is that shit. what are yalls thoughts?

So, the title of this may seem extremely vague and that's because I am the most confused I have ever been at a situation in which my friend 35M got extremely mad at me over what I thought was a COMPLETELY normal conversation.

So for some context, I have a very close friend well call Jack, (Not a real name) and we joke around with each other a lot. It's basically the premise of our friendship. I call him old man, he calls me stinky, we laugh and talk about anime five seconds later. It's always been that way no issue. I am going on a trip in TWO DAYS and he was going to be watching my cats while I was away.

Today that all changed today though, I sent him a snapchat as I always do with all my friends. It was a bowl of ramen and no caption. He responded with a picture of a sports game with the caption along the lines of "Fell asleep during the game". and this is the exact conversation word for word after that snapchat he sent:

Me: "How do you sleep through it when they're always yelling"

Jack: "Had some CBD gummies to help with the pain"

Me: "Ah dang, Wrist acting up again?"

Jack: "Nah, body aches after dealing with the flu or whatever I had"

Now I thought he was 100% joking. If I knew he was actually mad I would not have said "In the mood for this piss then?". (I used a lot of emojis in the messages which are also our tone indicators). I was so obviously joking and used the same humor I've used on him for the years I've known him. I'm honestly just so confused why he randomly went off the rails and got so mad over what seems like nothing. So here I am on reddit asking you guys, is there something I am completely missing here? Was I accidentally rude without meaning to?

How do I even date as a gay man?

Hi everyone, I’m a 22-year-old gay male from Southeast Asia seeking some relationship advice. Growing up, I only dated four girls during high school, but none of those relationships worked out because I never developed intimate or emotional feelings toward them. I’ve never dated a man before, largely because I live in a homophobic country where most people are closed-minded, and I grew up in a strict Christian household where same-sex relationships are completely taboo. I came out to my parents back in 2021, it didn't go well, but at least the initial shock has passed.
