Hi,
I work for a municipal government and we operate a DJI Mavic 4 Pro to capture marketing photos for parks/trails facilities. We have a few facilities that have federal dollars involved - including both for design consulting services or for actual construction of the facilities.
I have reached out to our State's DOT rep for FHWA Guidance on a few clarifying questions and I'm not getting any quality answers so I thought I would check here if anyone has any thoughts on the following:
It just seems so strange to me that as our facilities are built over time, we have to keep track of what had federal funding. Like, I keep thinking about 5-10, even 20 years from now when we go to take an overall, bird's-eye drone shot of a park to put on our city website...like are we supposed to blur out that 20-year-old playground that had federal funding? Who's going to be keeping tabs on us with that kind of stuff 10 years from now?
I assume I am not the only one where this stuff is coming up so I appreciate any thoughts from the community.

I smacked it on something over a year ago and I think in flight it would be in the straightened position but I don't wanna risk it.

The bottom LED auxiliary light on my DJI FPV is not working at all, I've tried to turn it to "On" while flying and it says that its on on the goggles but it never truly turns on. I've also tried to replace the entire vision sensor assembly and it still didn't work. What can I do?

Can I use the night modes on webcam mode?
I want to use the Osmo action 6 for night streaming with a stream box.
What is the image being shown when on webcam. I know it’s 1080p but can I use any of the modes?

Hi guys!
I love using my Osmo Pocket as a webcam, but one thing always bothered me: why can't I control the gimbal from my Mac?
Every time I wanted to adjust the angle, zoom in, or follow myself around, I had to reach over and touch the camera.
So I spent some time building Pocket+, a Mac app that lets you control your Osmo Pocket directly from your screen over USB.
And yes, the core features are completely free.
Here's what you can do:
I also added some advanced features like 4K recording, LUTs, automatic framing, saved camera positions, and vertical video guides as part of an optional one-time Pro upgrade.
A few things worth mentioning:
I'm a solo developer, and this isn't affiliated with DJI.
I've mainly tested it with my Pocket 3, so I'd especially love to hear from Pocket 4 / 4P owners about how well it works for them.
If anyone wants to try it, it's at pocketplus.app
Would love to hear what you think, what features are missing, or if you run into any issues. I'm actively improving it based on feedback!

Plan on using my dji mic with my video recordings from my metas. I know dji isn’t compatible with meta so I plan on just editing both the sound and video clips together on davinci resolve but would there be another seamless way to have it done?

Hi so I need to open up the panel on the front left arm (the one with the drone name), and i can't seem to open it. I tried every size, and used my fingernails and a plastic pry tool. What would you recommend me to use?

Paid for a DJI replacement unit – arrived completely defective (150m signal drops). DJI Europe claims "No Fault Found", blames my piloting, and says "I accepted the NFF status". Seeking urgent help from u/DJI_Support.
Hi all. I crashed/drowned my Mini 2 and paid for a replacement unit. The drone I received from DJI was defective from flight number one. It loses all signal and triggers Failsafe RTH at just 150-300m.
I sent it back. DJI Hungary and Germany performed bench tests, sent me a generic video, slapped a "No Fault Found" status, and shipped it back to me. When I unboxed it again, it failed immediately during the first test flight. When I complained, support told me "but you accepted the NFF status"! This is outrageous , I had to accept the delivery just to be able to test the drone!
The service center sent me two videos claiming "No Fault Found", but the moment I unboxed the drone and made the first flight, the signal dropped immediately. My own screen recordings prove that their bench tests do not match reality.
I have uploaded multiple screen recordings proving the signal drops, and the drone is now back at the service center for another inspection (Cases: CAS-36830515-V3B4D4, CAS-37445122-Q7L5Q4).
Because DJI sent me a dangerous, defective replacement and support is playing games, I refuse to accept another refurbished unit. I demand a brand new retail unit or an upgrade (Mini 3 / Mini 4K).
u/DJI_Support – please stop this madness and escalate this to a manager.

Is there a way to set markers during recording using a wired or wireless remote? I want to use my Action 6 on my Photo camera and everytime I press the shutter I want it to set a marker so post processing is much quicker.
The idea is to highjack the flash sync signal and make it trigger the maker function.

Are there any dji mobile users who use them with nothing phone 3a or 3a pro. I'm looking forward to buying dji mobile 7 but because of the inconvenient button placement on the nothing phone 3a pro, I doubt it would work but I just wanted to make sure.
Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on my previous post! I took it on board and headed out for my second time flying the DJI Mavic Mini.
Captured this Australian summer sunset in 2.7K and had a go at colour grading the footage in CapCut. Still learning, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s coming together so far.
Would appreciate any feedback on the footage, colour grading, or anything I could improve next time. Cheers! 🍻

Why doesn’t DJI offer reliable, locking quick-release mounts? In fact, in the latest version, they’ve made the release buttons even more prominent and easier to press. If you’re into water sports, a jet of water could easily cause the camera to detach. For some reason, they didn’t even include an attachment point for a safety tether on the Action 6.

I’m looking to buy a drone for my drone services business. I have plenty of experience flying commercially with Matrice and Mavic series drones, but those have always been supplied by the companies I’ve worked with.
I’m torn between getting a used Mavic 3 Pro or a new Air 3S. I’m not targeting one specific industry, as I like to be as versatile as possible and take on whatever jobs I can find (real estate, roofing, construction, inspections, photography, etc.).
Is the Mavic 3 Pro’s third camera and larger sensor worth buying used over a brand new Air 3S? Are there any commercial applications where one significantly outperforms the other?
I’d appreciate any input, especially from those who have used either drone commercially!
