The option for depth effect is now gone on iOS 27.

For those of you who've wanted a system wide EQ, there's an app out now called Effect Deck, and it is what we've all been waiting for.

It's currently free, has no ads, and works with ALL audio across the entirely of iOS. Yes, even with Apple Music.

I'm in no way affiliated with the app, just someone who's been waiting for this exact feature for ages and wanted to share it with others.

Seems like most apps are automatically reloading upon opening and circumventing the no background refresh. Really frustrating the every time I lock my phone for a minute and reopen that I lose my place because the app refreshes the main screen of the app. Any fix for this?

Edit: I checked after making this post, and background refresh has been ON this whole time. I’m guessing when I updated to 26 that it turned it on for all my apps. That being said this issue started when I updated to iOS26 months ago.

Well… I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and ever since iOS 27 (including the current iOS 27.0.1), my iPhone has felt slower, laggier and less responsive to touch… UNTIL I SWITCH THE DISPLAY TO 60Hz.

Suddenly, when I enable Low Power Mode and the display switches to 60Hz, everything feels more responsive! Scrolling is obviously less smooth, but touch response, scrolling and the overall system feel better.

I’ve read that this could make sense with the way ProMotion works in this version of iOS. The display doesn’t run at a constant 120Hz; it dynamically adjusts the refresh rate between 10Hz and 120Hz, and apparently, there may be a minor issue with this in iOS 27.

I just find it really interesting. Has anyone else experienced this?? 😅

My wife and I both got 18 Pro Maxes a few days ago--and that's when it appears problems with RCS messaging started; particularly if the the receiving party has a new Android. In one case, the Android owner toggled RCS on and off and that solved the problem. In other cases, nothing seems to work. No problems with Apple blue bubble messages. Thought when Apple added RCS it was supposed to solve the incompatibility problems! Any ideas?

For the past days I‘ve been experiencing some difficulties with charging.

My iPhone 15 doesn‘t constantly charge with one set of cables.
Both cables and charging adapter are brand new. The cables work perfectly fine with my iPad. My iPhone charges perfectly fine with other cables.

Because of this I‘m positive that both the charging port as well as the cables work fine.

Restarting the phone works for some time (1-2 days). After that the problem reoccurs.

What might be the reason for this?

I often receive 20/30+ messages in one go, when people fire multiple messages instead of just one single one.

In an old update, this was fine, as I would get a full push notification for about three of them, and the rest wouldn't vibrate at all, they'd just light up. (perfect solution)

After updating, this behaviour has stopped, and I am being notified with haptics for each message that comes through, full vibration and everything.

I have dug around the settings and it seems there is only an all-or-nothing option. Either turn all notifications off and get one at a certain time of the day, turn all haptics off completely, or leave them on?

Is this a setting I'm missing, or just some irriversible thing they've pushed out?

My father has a bubble on Home Screen that you can kind of drag around. It looks like a merged ae kinda how do you disable this iOS feature.

It had another one that was assistive touch I disabled that one already.

Can you guys suggest best option for quick action button on lock screen i thinking of replacing the camera one since we have camera control button to quickly open camera

This is very upsetting to me, is there any way to restore them?
I will refrain from using any form of insults or distasteful language but know that I am extremely upset over this.

As the title says, I'm having trouble with my iPhone 16 running iOS 26.6.1 - When using my phone on the lowest brifgness during the day, all auto brightness settings, true tone and anything else I could find online turned off, my phone still automatically turns brightness up about 25%. Even when I pull it down, it happens again.

I tried the usual resets, updating my iOS (happens across multiple updates already), took it to the repair shop where they could not replicate the issue and therefore cannot help (it doesn't happen always, but enough times to be annoying), none of that help.

Any advice, settings I missed, and so on? It's a relatively new phone and I had no screen cracks or anything that could cause damage to the phone itself!

i want application that work like stand by mode phone in angle its on but in not charging and i want to see some thing usefull. that will going to help in my work.

I’ve been a Samsung user for over a decade and recently switched to iPhone. So far it’s been a learning experience and trying my best to like it.

One thing to be desired is the mail app. The default Samsung mail was pretty good, but the default iphone mail app leaves a lot to be desired. The gmail and yahoo apps are ok~ but not great and the sponsored ads disguised as emails is really off putting. Does anyone have any good email app recommendations?

It’s all started from 24 GB, but now it went up after deleting some photo and video in the app. I have already delete the one in Recently Deleted as well, yet it doesn’t get any better.

At first I thought it went up because I’m moving it to my macbook, which later on I delete the one in my mac as well and completely move it to my usb but it still wouldn’t budge.

I’m pretty sure it went up like this because I did too much screen recording, which I have delete all of them, again. And now I’m have no idea how to actually delete the data.

Can anyone help me how to clear it up?

With ios 26 you could use Siri without the AI functions. I actually prefer it this way to save battery mainly.

Now with ios 27 I can‘t find the option to do it anymore.. did they move it or are they really forcing the Siri AI on us?

Previously my old phone offered me the chance to update to IOS 18 (I think) instead of further up. Now that option’s gone, and it’s only offering IOS 26. Is there any way to go just to IOS 18?

I recently updated my iPhone 14 to the latest software update and I’m having trouble finding something in the preview app.
I download books as a pdf from a website and was able to search words to find a certain scene.
After I updated, I can’t find the word find tool. I’m only able to see it when my phone is in landscape mode.
I tried searching on TikTok or safari, but it doesn’t have what I’m looking for.

I always keep spell check and similar automatic text fiddling features off for various reasons, never had any problems with that until now. About a week ago spell check suddenly activated just for Google Keep and I can't turn it off! Google Keep doesn't have any text editing functions in itself so it has to be the system's problem.

I have so far:
- gone through all keyboard and system settings
- changed keyboards
- installed and reinstalled both Google Keep and my most used keyboard app
- cleared the keyboard dictionary cache (which resolved the problem for 1 day, then it reappeared)
- restarted the phone numerous times.

Has anyone experienced similar rogue spell check issues and/or resolved them?

Hi all.

I’m hoping someone has found a way to solve this issue or can at least point me in the right direction. In our family, we share our location with each other. We are 3 iPhone devices and a series of Android devices. All 3 iPhones share via Find My. All devices including the 3 iPhone also share location using Google Maps.

For the most part, everything works great. I can track all my Apple devices, can track my mother and her devices. Via Google, I can track everyone, no problem, as long as we have cell or WiFi signal. But for some reason, more often than not, my daughter’s location won’t update via find my for hours or even days on end yet in Google it is almost always up to date.

I have tried almost all common suggestions like checking permissions, etc, to no avail.

Anyone have a similar experience? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
