Profile Redditor attempted phishing attack on me via private chat, then deleted their messages but not before I screen captured them

Post image

Thankfully I grabbed screenshots before they deleted their messages. The problem is since they did that, I could no longer report what they said, so I figured I'd put something here and see what was recommended. I wouldn't normally have bothered with accepting the chat, but it came from a 6yr account with post history so I figured they were legit, but definitely not.

Posting iOS - Stats not updating

Thumbnail reddit.com
2 Upvotes

My Reddit post in [r/fuckHOA](r/fuckHOA) received over 1.8 million views, 5,202 upvotes, and 776 comments.
However, the Post Insights statistics appear to have stopped updating properly.
I’m using the Reddit iOS app.
Could an administrator please investigate whether Post Insights statistics are updating correctly for older viral posts?
I understand that the first-48-hours graph is historical, but I would expect the cumulative statistics to continue updating.
I have attached a screenshot showing the problem.
Thank you.

Desktop Chat requests not showing properly on desktop

Here's how my chat requests are appearing on desktop (viewed in Chrome, either the "inset" chat dialog or the "full screen" chat page). Big list of "group created" things, not in chronological order. If I look at requests on either the Android or iPad app, they appear correctly - the user is shown, followed by the first line of the message text, and they're sorted correctly in descending chronological order. Tried all the usual clear cookies etc. etc., to no effect. Any ideas?

I tried on Firefox and the requests show correctly on the inset dialog, but are wrong on the full screen page.

Reddit Premium Why does the Past Year CSV show different follower counts than shorter date ranges? (desktop)

• Upvotes

I have a Reddit premium subscription. On desktop, I’m using Performance → Account and clicking Download CSV.

When I compare exports, the “Followers” values agree across Past Week, Past Month, Past 3 Months, and Past 6 Months wherever dates overlap. However, Past Year gives different follower values for those same dates.

Examples:

Date Shorter-range exports Past Year export
May 18, 2026 42 0
May 19, 2026 121 0
August 30, 2026 272 121
October 20, 2026 361 191

The Followers graph also shows 42 for May 18 and 361 for October 20, matching the shorter-range exports.

Views and Upvotes match across the exports; only Followers differs.

Why would selecting Past Year change the follower value for the same date? Is this a known export issue, or is “Followers” calculated differently depending on the selected range? What exactly does that CSV column represent?

Is anyone else having this issue?

For reference, I'm using Old Reddit on desktop with Firefox.

Mobile/App Help with the Reddit App

Hey Reddit,

As the title suggests, I'm having issues with the Reddit app, particularly the joke that is needing to upload my government ID (hahahaha no thank you).

Particularly around accessing my own profile, posts, and settings.

I can't access my own profile, or access settings, as each time I try to load my profile it tells me there's NSFW content (there isn't??) and I need to verify my ID.

That is absolutely absurd. I'd delete my account if I could - I can't even get the option to do that because there's no chance I'm uploading my government ID to verify my age.

This is the only platform on the web I've come across in my almost 40 years on this planet, that asks for government ID to view your own account, history, and change settings.

The kicker is my original account is almost 20 years old, and that also needs to be verified. Do they think I created that whilst I was still a sperm?

TL:DR - How to access my own profile, and settings for my account, without doing age verification.

Alternatively, if this is not possible and they're forcing a gov ID upload, how can I delete my account without being able to access my account settings? I'd rather never use Reddit again than comply and upload my ID.

Thanks in advance

Access Password reset forms not working for locked account

I received this notice both in an email and at the top of the page and app in a red box for my account u/SiliconRaven:

"For your security, we've locked your account after detecting some unusual activity. To keep using Reddit, reset your password."

I have tried resetting by following the red banner that shows up with the message, but when I type in my email or my username, the button to rest the password is grayed out. When I try to use the form in the user settings, I get a "something when wrong" message after entering my current and new password. The option to reset the password on iOS in the user account settings has been disabled. Clicking the red banner on iOS asks me to use the desktop.

I am currently still logged in on Firefox and iOS app.

I am at a loss of what to do here, please help me resolve this.

Desktop mobile web, desktop web: Changing one's mind about a post

I stumbled into a post that I had previously downvoted only to find that my perspective on it has changed. It doesn't deserve my downvote, but when I try to upvote it (or even just remove the downvote) on either of the platforms mentioned in the title it goes back to the way it was upon refreshing the page. Is there any way at all to switch my vote?

Mobile Web iPhone. Server error. Try again later…

Post image

Basically, I hardly use the Reddit app. My normal method of login is Safari then I use my cell # to login. There’s technically no email attached to that account (different username) just the cell #. Maybe I’ve logged in too many times over that last several days but after successfully logging in this morning, I tried again and I keep getting this message. On WiFi off WiFi, on the Chrome app, etc… Is there anyway to troubleshoot this so I can login using my cell # account?
