I like having kids, but I understand if people don't want to have them.  My brother isn't having kids and I appreciate his honest self-assessment that he'd be a shitty dad, because he would be.  Kids take a lot of self-sacrifice (if you're doing it right), and its ok, possibly even better, if people don't want to do that.

The problem is that the people who lack that awareness keep pumping out kids, who end up being shitty adults themselves.

I feel the same about dogs. I'd be a great dog owner - but I don't want them. Cleaning up poo off grass for years? No thanks
