Always on vibrate

Edit: I mean this in the nicest way... some of you need to talk to a therapist

Yeah, idk about this "even vibrate is too much".

Like, I at least want to know if I am getting a call. Some people have important shit going on.

Calls from contacts are the only thing that makes my phone vibrate. Everything else is on silent.

Every doordash customer when I try to contact them about their order...

Do you ring doorbells?

u/Tasty-Traffic-680 Aug 15 '26

Only if the customer specifically asks me not to. Then I set your food in front of the storm door and ring the bell 5 times.

Bruh maybe half of all mechanical doorbells actually work. When I delivered pizza years ago it was much easier to just knock because everyone's shit is broken

Half the video doorbells I need to ring don't work because people are too lazy to charge or hardwire them.

With DD many customers want zero interaction with you, I’ve found, so you’ll possibly get dinged for even knocking.

Calls, messages, and weather alerts are the only thing not silent

Also, that random app that I forgot to edit the notification settings when I downloaded it that seldomly gives notifications so I never get the motivation to fix it.

I don't answer calls, if it's important they'll leave a message and I'll call back. My boss knows to text.

Important things like leaving me a voicemail

u/Dr-McLuvin Aug 15 '26

Ya and if the other person does the same thing you’ll literally never talk except through short voicemail messages lol.

Honestly preferable to answering an unplanned phone call

u/stratys3 Aug 15 '26

Honest question: Why? What's wrong with an unplanned phone call from someone you want to hear from?

1

u/bbqdorito Aug 15 '26

I should’ve said from an unknown number lol

You sound miserable.

Agree. Out of the blue calls break my focus and I struggle not to feel on the spot.

u/Spirited-Outcome-443 Aug 15 '26

so you can get back to it a week later?

u/pointandclickit Aug 15 '26

But then I would have to check my voicemail

My voicemails are set up to email me with the audio file attached.

It is too much should go to the watch.

I have a watch, and it vibrates too.
