Sorry, I am the exception. I want to know when people are trying to reach out to me.

I have a ring tone for my contacts and one for everyone else just so I can tell if I want to answer my phone without looking.

I miss the little blinking lights you could set on some phones. Different colours for different notifications/apps/contacts. Meant you could see if you had a message and who it was from without even going near your phone

You could and can still do that on iPhones. Just edit the contact (in the Contacts app) and scroll down a bit and you’ll see both Ringtone and Text tone options.
