Question How long until videos removed?

Contacted support to remove some unrelated videos.
They acknowledge it and working on it but don't have an estimate when it will be removed.

Anybody dealt with this and how long does it typically take?

Question GBP posts for medical practices?

We haven't had an issue with GBP removing posts in the past, but just recently we had four flagged and removed. We think it's because a type of medical device was mentioned. I want to be very careful about future posts and wonder if anyone can weigh in on the following:

  1. Does Google follow the links? If a link goes to an article about CPAP alternatives, is that enough for it to flag it?

  2. If the post copy doesn't include mention of a device, but there's a device in the image, is that an offence? Eg. Copy talks about being tired from sleep apnea, and there's a picture of a person looking at a CPAP machine...is that flaggable?

Your insights are much appreciated! --Liz

Discussion Do you think Google Reviews influence whether you trust a business?

Before choosing a restaurant, buying a product, or hiring a service, many of us check Google Reviews to see what other customers experienced.

But I'm curious about something:

  • Do you trust a business more when it displays customer reviews on its website?
  • Do negative reviews make you trust a business more if the owner responds professionally?
  • What makes a review feel genuine rather than fake?

I'd love to hear your thoughts and real experiences. 👇

Question REZENSIA / SIA Media – Google-Bewertungen löschen lassen: Sind 21-Tage-Fristen, 48-Stunden-Garantien und Google-Partnerschaften seriös?

Question Google Verified Us by Live Video, Then Automatically Suspended Our Profile Again

Support Verification disappeared after undoing change of address.

Business is a team of realtors who each primary work from home, but firm has an office downtown. I've been researching having a public location vs service area for realtors, and when I added the office to the business profile, google prompted for location verification (which is correct). But then further down my research I decided to stay service-based since the business will soon be expanding location.

When I unset the location edit on the profile, the previous business verification disappeared. I just want the change to revert to what it was without having to go through a verification hassle again, because the team works from home and it's difficult to show a "business" at home when there's no storefront / assets beyond a home office/computer.

I've reached out to support through the form, explaining this issue, but got an automated response stating "Thank you for contacting us about your Business Profile on Google. From the info you shared, we're not sure of your exact issue, but here are solutions to the most common issues:".

What can be done about this? How do I contact human support?

Support Google removed my 5 star review but won’t remove a bogus 1 star review

Anyone else experience this?

I’ve had a 1 star review from someone I’ve never even met sitting on my business profile for three weeks, despite reporting it to Google.

Today, an actual customer left a detailed, legitimate 5 star review. I got the email notification, and it initially showed up on my profile. A few hours later, it disappeared, although my total review count still says 61. I have the customer’s texts, invoice, and photos of the completed work to prove it’s legitimate. How does Google leave a potentially fake negative review up for weeks but seemingly filter a real, positive review within hours? Has anyone had a missing review come back, or found a way to get Google to actually investigate?

Question Beyond frustrated with Google

After an erroneous ban 6 months ago, followed by a quick reinstatement, google has continued to show the my business is located and services an area 70 miles from my business. I rank 1 in the map pack all over that area and am non existent in my own area where i used to be #1. This has hurt business dramatically. I have sent them numberous screenshots and evidence to show them this, and despite that, they still claim everything is normal. Their own map shows me in that location and their own AI overview says im located there. They simply will not fix it. At this point, im exploring legal routes.....but are there any ways to speak to competent google business engineers that may be able to fix this??

Question Moving a Business from Etobicoke to Vaughan — When Should I Update Google Business Profile?

I’m helping with a business relocation from Etobicoke to Vaughan (in the southern Ontario area) and looking for advice on the best way to handle the Google Business Profile transition.

A few questions for those who have gone through this:
1. Is it better to update the existing profile before the move or wait until the new location is ready to operate? (Previous location closed Oct 5 and new location will open around Dec 15)

  1. How can I preserve existing reviews and avoid verification issues or losing visibility on Google Maps?

Are there any common mistakes I should avoid during a relocation?

Question Google Business Profile rejecting category changes as "Business identity changed" – how can I fix this

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi, I had a Google Business Profile for shoe repairs, but I no longer do shoe repairs. I now only offer garage door services and locksmith. When I try to update my categories to "garage door supplier" and "locksmith," it gets rejected for "violated policy: business identity changed," and Google suggests closing the existing profile and creating a new one. I really want to keep my existing reviews and history. Has anyone dealt with this? Is there a way to resolve it or appeal without starting a completely new profile?

Question How to set up a Google Business Profile in Saudi Arabia for an online Service-Area Business (SAB)?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to register a Google Business Profile for my business based here in Saudi Arabia. My business operates completely online—I handle online sales and provide digital services, meaning I do not have a physical storefront or commercial office for customers to visit.

Every time I attempt to set up the profile, Google heavily prompts for a physical address and video verification of a physical commercial location, which I do not have.

Discussion Can I use the one number for all my branch profiles?

I currently have unique branch number on each Google profile. Recently my company wanted to use one number for all 10 branches. Practically it doesn’t make sense. People who are near to the branch if they want to ask for directions or information about the branch need branch number. But I want to know technically is there any way to keep general number for all the profiles?

Support Successful Live Agent Video and BOOM suspended

I need help on what to do next. This is my situation.

I did a live agent video. We went over the shop. I showed everything, the truck the office the signage at the front.

Then after a couple of minutes the agent says “congratulations I am happy to announce that your business is verified”. I was happy and we closed the call. I see the profile now as processing.

3 minutes later I get a suspension. What’s up with that? What can I do? Send an appeal and ignore the fact that I went through all of that trouble? What’s the point of verifying me if I will get suspended during the processing period?

I run a local service shop business in the US.

Question What’s best failure prevention?

Edited: I have been in a few businesses in different industries over many years. I opened a new GBP, about 4 months old. It has seven 5 star reviews from helping past clients. This is a new consulting business with 1 year old website in this different, purely “general” consulting industry. My experience in previous industries and life support this consulting. But I wasn’t known as a “general” consultant. I’m still working on this title to be realistic and known.

Especially to be crawl-able by Google.

I began displaying links to my website’s articles, videos, and posting articles on this GBP relative to myself as a general business person with with a vivid personal background. As for images or videos regarding this consulting, while they can be created, they are not as realistic as my actual experience for this consulting role. How would I post “consulting “?
here I am consulting with this person or people, blah blah blah. Or here is this video of someone interviewing me like a lot of those blah blah BS interviews that you see, and this would just be one of them. The theme would be truthful, but the actual display would not reveal specifically what I am doing as this kind of consultant. I would much rather post actual videos / images I’ve had for years on jobs I’ve done at real locations with crews, etc. Such as slideshows with accompanying text. Also, within my personal life, I’ve had enough activities, not just business, but personal activities or social events that are in pictures that can be slideshows to display personal credibility. Some of my consulting won’t be
business per se.

A business location is unnecessary so it’s my house address. It’s listed honestly on my GBP and on my website. Both are actually my name. Just like certain doctors, artists, other people where in fact their own business is their name. I don’t wish to disregard specific google or other protocol but interpret the intention. It’s just truth and fact. My point here is I’ve never had a problem with this in business or residential locations. That includes a couple of residential locations that should have in fact been commercial. It was just truthful. But that’s not my question or the point of this post; it’s worth mentioning. The emphasis of my question is here:

I wanna be cautious so nothing as videos misinterpreted as irrelevant backfire or I don’t miss anything. The GBP building up with, “general legitimacy” as general consultant matters. My question is in general, about the risks in posting videos that are not specific to forms consulting. After reading, commenting, posting, and for the most part, understanding the sensitivity of the GBP, certain people definitely have more experience than I do so your opinions are valuable and quite appreciated. Thanking you, entirely!

Question Social media links feature is still completely missing from my GBP after 2 years. Is it a category or regional rollout issue?

Hi everyone,

I manage a local B2B supply business, and I'm practically the only business in my city actively running multiple channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and YouTube.

However, the manual "Social Profiles" section under Edit Profile > Contact is completely missing from my dashboard. It's been well over two years since this feature was introduced, but I still cannot manually add my links.

I have a few questions for the local SEO experts here:

  1. Is the Social Profiles feature still broadly restricted or glitchy depending on your region?
  2. Could this be restricted based on my specific business category?
  3. Does Google less prioritize organic profile feature rollouts if you've never spent money on Google Ads? I haven't run any paid marketing, and part of me wonders if that's the reason.

Any insights or workarounds (like using Schema markup to force it) would be greatly appreciated!

Support Google confirmed a policy-violating review was removed—but it remains publicly visible

Google Business Profile Support confirmed in writing that a review on my Business Profile violated Google’s policies and had been removed.

That confirmation Case ID 9-0869000041953.

This morning Oct 16 2026 they emailed me saying it was deleted, the review remains publicly visible.

This is unacceptable. I have repeatedly reported it, contacted Support through numerous cases, and received the same generic reporting instructions even though I already completed those steps.

The review contains personal attacks and false statements. The same content was previously posted on another Business Profile and removed by Google for violating policy before being reposted on my profile.

Also I reported it and it never went into the escalation box for me to add in my evidence.

Yash reply I got this morning was addressed to someone else they didn't even use my name which is really weird. They quoted the reviewer by name so I know it was the right review. This was done by a Yash at GOOGLE.....

Can a Product Expert please escalate this technical failure to the appropriate Google team?

Question Reporting systemic fake review rings (coercive student reviews + keyword stuffing) on Google Maps—Google only deletes duplicates instead of suspending?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I'm dealing with a local educational institute that is abusing Google Business Profiles to unfairly dominate local search rankings.

Here is what they are doing:

Forced / Coercive Reviews: They force their student batches to drop bulk 5-star reviews all at once whenever a new batch finishes.

Keyword Stuffing & Off-Topic Reviews: They teach software/coding, but force students to stuff unrelated keywords like "printer repair", "laptop service", and "computer repair" into reviews to steal traffic from local hardware businesses.

Conflict of Interest: None of these reviews represent actual paid customers of those services.

I have submitted redressal forms with proof of hundreds of fake reviews. However, Google support only removes the exact duplicate reviews while leaving the rest of the profile and fraudulent rating intact.

Has anyone successfully escalated a case like this to get a profile restricted or suspended for systemic review fraud and unfair trade practices? Any advice on how to get Google Support to take stronger action?

Question Help me with my google business profile

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hi there everyone

I have a issue with my google business account.

My google business account is active but it is not shown in google search. I mean when i search it doesnot show but when i search specifically writing my name it shows.

For example: if i search my name specifically like dr.this then it shows.

But not shown while searching doctor in this place despite having higher ratings.
