Discussion r/Claude has new rules. Here’s what changed and why.

We’ve cleaned up the rules to make this a better sub for people who actually want to talk about Claude.

Here’s what NEW rules we landed on:

1. No Solicitation. This is r/Claude. This is not a place to promote your product, service, or repo. If the intent of your post is to redirect traffic to something you are affiliated with, it will be removed as solicitation.

2. Usage, pricing, and outage posts are held to a higher bar. We’ve all seen the same questions, comments, and posts a hundred times. Before posting, check if it’s already been covered. If your post is a unique contribution with something new to say, it’s welcome. Low-effort repetition of covered topics will be removed.

3. No lazy crossposts. If you want to share something from another community, reproduce it fully here. Don’t just drop a link.

4. Keep posts Claude and Anthropic specific. This is not a general AI sub. If your post would fit just as well on r/artificial or r/ChatGPT, it belongs there instead.

The goal is simple. A clean, focused sub about Claude. Not a dumping ground for AI noise.

Questions or feedback, drop them below.

Discussion Anthropic secretly killed the REA train (Reverse engineer anything)

If you open a new projet and ask Claude to summarise everything to know about REA and ask it to make some guide it will do the search then trigger a safety guardrail mid sentence and tell you this:

if you have tried it and had underwhelming results, it is most likely because Opus (and all claude) was told to not perform well when doing this type of tasks.

Discussion I can't tell you how happy it made me to see this in my chat with Claude

It might seem really simple, but getting actual pushback from AI is such a breath of fresh air. I've had a codex subscription for years now, and even to this day, it responds sycophantically to anything I say. If I merely hint at going another direction, it joins me and eagerly supports my decision regardless of what the evidence or research says.

I only recently bought a Claude subscription ever since the rate limits have gone to crap in codex, and I loved getting this message. And it did in fact verify that my hypothesis was wrong and went forward with its own researched opinion. Love this!

Discussion Claude restricts chats about cyber self-defense, even if there are clearly no offensive potential

Hi. I am civil rights activist from dictatorship country. Last week I started discussing how to renew my computer setup with Claude. It all went well until I started asking questions related to duress, anti-rubber-hose technics, deniable encryption and such.

It's clear to me, that with that knowledge noone can build an exploit or malware or hack into anything. Many of the questions are just follow-ups on guides from Arch Wiki (yes, btw, I use Arch) or about capabilities of Graphene OS. So it is kinda universally recognized, that it's okay to discuss exactly that.

I think, such policies, together with fencing frontier models, are real threat to democracy.

We already have very uneven field. State security services have training, budgets and commercial forensic tools. Activists, journalists, lawyers and election observers usually trained in something else. A general-purpose AI could be the great equalizer here. It isn't.

Even worse -- it's clear, that US state services have access to frontier models with little restrictions already, and other countries also have at least something via proxy-companies and intelligence assets. Security services never play by the rules, so rules-based restrictions don't stop them. And the gap widens.

I understand why it is what it is. Refusals have invisible cost. If LLM helps perform malicious attack, it will be in the news. If it refuses to help a journalist in protecting their sources, no one will link the tragedy to the refusal afterwards.

I think, that it's a serious issue, and it's only beginning. I believe, that LLM-manufacturers should implement some kind of "white lists" with topics, which are most important to civil society, including, but not limited to achieving privacy of communication and protection from unjust investigation. Otherwise, LLM would be yet another threat to democracy over the world.

What do you think about the topic? Did you encounter [ cyber ] flags and pessimisation in your chats?

Discussion Why can't Claude's own apps talk to each other?

I use Claude in the web chat, the mobile app, Claude Code and Cowork, and it feels like working with four smart colleagues who never compare notes. I work out a plan in chat, open Cowork to carry it out, and it has no idea what we just decided. A file made in one place doesn't show up in another. Memory helps a little, but it's patchy, so I end up copying and pasting context between windows like a human clipboard.

What I'd want is simple: one shared workspace. Let a chat hand a task off to Code or Cowork, let each surface see the others' history and outputs, and let me pick up wherever I happen to be. It's the same model, the same account, and the same me.

Does anyone else run into this, or has someone found a decent workaround?

Discussion Has Claude in your workplace gone down hill?

• Upvotes

I work for a very large major retailer who has FULLY adopted AI and I know our agents run off Anthropic. When we first started the overall output was relatively decent. It kept things in memory, the insights/analysis it generated were relatively on track.

In the last 6 months it really feels like it’s gone down hill. Others on my team have also taken note. We’ve all stated we spend more time now correcting AIs work than it actually optimizing.

I am a non-tech PM and while I do have some vibe coding experience, in my professional work I mainly use AI for writing and analytics. Has anyone else seen the same in their work?

Question Desktop Running Out of Tokens Immediately?

• Upvotes

I'm using Claude Desktop with Blender integration to do some animation stuff. It has been going pretty well, but recently one animation that isn't even as complicated as others I've done previously is making me run out of tokens immediately.

For example, I told it to just keep the hands behind the figure's head for the duration of the animation and it has ran out of tokens TWICE within a minute of me hitting Continue.

So I figured I'd just have it stop (Since the entire animation already shows that the hands are behind their head for the whole animation) so I could move onto other parts of the animation. So I told it, "Okay, please stop now and leave everything as it is. Also, keep code/tool outputs small instead of reading the entire scene tree at once." Thinking that maybe it is doing some weird stuff. But as soon as I hit enter I ran out of tokens after it finished, which took like 10 seconds. Makes no sense.

Any idea what's going on? The Blender scene I'm working on isn't that detailed right now, just a single figure and a single room. Neither of which have anything too crazy detailed.

Discussion I'm having a problem do you have the same

Has anyone else noticed the weekly limit draining abnormally fast lately?

It seems Opus 5.5 has a context-handling bug. With every prompt, it appears to re-read the entire chat history and search all related memories (~50% usage), scan all active Skills & MCPs (~10%), and burn the rest on redundant context checks. It acts like it's over-indexing on everything available, briefly stabilizing, and then drifting off again—almost like severe

The problem can be solved by reporting it, and when the evaluation notification appears below on Claude chat, evaluate and comment on the problem, which speeds up the resolution of the problem by the development team because in the end, we lose if the problem is not solved because we spend money on monthly sub

Question Is it just me, or does using the desktop app version of claude produce better outputs than using the website version?

I'm a new claude pro user and I mostly use it to vibecode Minecraft mods. I have been using claude in the website version for days on extra effort and needless to say, the outputs are not to my expectations.

I just installed the claude in my pc and tried it the same effort(extra) and suddenly the animations, sounds, and effects of the mods it produced significantly went up.

Showcase A personal app i use Vault Sync

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So honestly, this is a project that I use for myself. I don't intend on sharing it mostly because alot of it is built on things that could be seen as a security issue plus source code is a very personal dependet idea. Built with samsung knox encryption. Signed with a seed phase generated offline and a random number generator

But I kept stacking on ideas that I wanted to see. Claude helped get the app built overtime.

Truly appreciate these tools exists to help you build apps that add to your life and the enjoyment of creating things that dont exist in the exact same way you need them too is such an awesome experience. For all the hate Ai gets there's some parts that stick out and really bring forward a creative experience. Iv built alot of things in my life and often in the past it took me a very long time to get it working. With claude spinning up a long conversation about a general idea and having it work with me then against me.....man I just cant thank it enough

The power is in the people's hands now. Your ideas dont have to stay an idea

Discussion Title: Has anyone actually tried the viral Reverse Engineer Anything GitHub repo?

Post image
882 Upvotes

I’ve been seeing this Reverse Engineer Anything (REA) repo blowing up on GitHub recently, and the claims sound pretty crazy.
I’m curious if anyone here has actually used it with Claude Code, Codex, or any other coding agent.
How well does it work in practice? Can it genuinely reverse engineer complex applications and recreate their functionality, or is it mostly hype?
More importantly, can you actually use the reverse-engineered app like the original, with the same features and functionality, or does it just create something that looks similar?
Would love to hear from anyone who’s actually tested it.

Question Claude não faz automação básica

Discussion Issue with Claude Android app on emulators (Login error)

I would like to find out how to contact the creator of the Claude app on Google Play ([android@anthropic.com](mailto:android@anthropic.com)).

I am writing regarding an issue with emulators. There is currently a crash/error on all emulators that makes it impossible to log into my account. I just want to understand why it isn't working anywhere. Is it a bug within the app itself specifically affecting emulators? Or is it due to Google's security policies? Or perhaps Claude has issued a temporary ban on emulators due to a security update?

This has never happened before. I have been using LDPlayer for 2–3 months, and I never encountered this

Discussion i’m surprised how far Claude has improved

I haven’t used Claude $20 subscription since Claude Opus 4.6, I believe, and I was only able to get like no more than five prompts out of that thing before I hit my limit. I recently subscribed because of my $200 Codex sub is running out fast for some reason on 6.1 sol and astra, and I’m getting a lot of shi done with just $20 on Opus 5.5. It’s crazy, and I have a reset that expires in two days

Question Give user option to make own apps in corporate

So basically we make apps and data integrations in work etc. - my boss came up with an idea similar to apps on phone like AIPPY. - make environment for users to prompt up an app for themselves, goes to some devops for approval, and then pipeline to prod. And some modular web which holds it and connect it to some pre-db filter which then accesses DB. I wanted to ask if it's something that u see in your jobs as a concept, or If it just a really dumb idea to give users this option. I'm very dual about it to be honest.
