Discussion I'm having a problem do you have the same

Has anyone else noticed the weekly limit draining abnormally fast lately?

It seems Opus 5.5 has a context-handling bug. With every prompt, it appears to re-read the entire chat history and search all related memories (~50% usage), scan all active Skills & MCPs (~10%), and burn the rest on redundant context checks. It acts like it's over-indexing on everything available, briefly stabilizing, and then drifting off again—almost like severe

The problem can be solved by reporting it, and when the evaluation notification appears below on Claude chat, evaluate and comment on the problem, which speeds up the resolution of the problem by the development team because in the end, we lose if the problem is not solved because we spend money on monthly sub

I switched to Sonnet 5.5 and I've been saving a ton of usage. It still gets the job done. I do writing and design work, a little bit of coding. I also use it for optimizing crypto miners.

For comparison, I used Copilot and Claude to optimize my graphics cards for efficiency via tweaking settings in MSI Afterburner. The settings recommended by Sonnet were far more efficient than those of Copilot.

Same here. I’ve been working on the same projects for weeks, with almost the same workflow every day. They’re not huge projects, Claude already has the context, my prompts are tight and my usage is very guided. This week I’m already at 60% of my weekly limit on Max 5x, whereas before I’d reach the last day of the cycle at around 60-70%, working long hours every day.

I’ve also noticed Opus getting a bit worse, especially in my field, which is design. The quality has dropped a lot, I have to guide it way more, and with SVGs it sometimes gives me results that look like they came from older models. On top of that, since Monday I’ve been hitting the 5-hour limit every day, which I never came close to before. I’m back to that feeling of worrying about limits that I’d honestly forgotten about.

I haven’t changed anything in my routine, and yet: lower quality and higher usage.

And how long does Claude stay with you since you are MAX?

I used to be on Pro only with Claude, Plus with GPT and Pro with Cursor. Now I’m on Plus with GPT and Max with Claude. Last month was my first month on Max. With the launch of Opus 5.5, my productivity shot up. For my projects it felt unlimited. I never hit the limit, or even came close.

This week and last week I’ve noticed a change, and it’s clearly a step back. My weekly limit is draining much faster than before, even though my routine hasn’t changed, and I keep hitting the 5-hour limit. Back when I had those three subscriptions, I’d usually hit the limit on all three. That first month on Max was so good that I stopped using the other two, since Opus was giving me great results.

Lately it’s bringing back that Pro-era feeling of constantly keeping an eye on the limits, and I’m noticing lower quality overall.

Can't relate. My weekly limit has never drained abnormally fast: it's gone in a day and a half, every single week. Very consistent.
