Build Help / Purchase Advice The price difference from the RTX 5090 To the RX 9070 is so huge it's unreal (México)
Is it really worth it to have the RTX 5090?

Finding a left handed or ambidextrous mouse is already near impossible, let alone one with silent clicks. I have no choice but to swap the switches myself.

I knew about the pc parts going crazy but I assumed it was for mainly high end parts. I never could’ve imagined that my own pc would’ve doubled in value

Every single time windows 11 updates, it literally deletes my amd drivers. And when I try to reinstall it with the new windows update, it literally won’t let me. It’s like windows blocks it.
Now I’ve uninstalled the windows update and was able to install my amd drivers again, that’s how I know it’s windows. After restarting my pc, windows have installed the update again, after I paused it.

My first was a 486 (cant remember my best speed). My best was a P166 @ 250 stable for years. Im only counting stable usable system, not Liquid nitrogen & stuff, like it runs for a long time usable. Let's hear your stories.... I can't wait to hear them.

Genuine question for anyone who spends long hours at their desk.
A lot of discussions around desk chairs say to skip the bucket-style gaming chairs completely because of the stiff posture and lack of airflow, pointing people toward ergonomic office chairs instead.
My issue is that I do not have the cash for a Herman Miller or anything in that high-end tier. I’m trying to figure out if spending mid-range money on an ergonomic mesh chair genuinely feels better over a long session than racing chairs , or if budget racing chairs get a worse reputation than they deserve.
These are basically the two styles I’ve been looking at. One is a standard high-back racing chair with the strap-on foam pillow, and the other is a mesh office chair like the nouhaus x1. I like that the back and armrests can be adjusted, especially since I’d be using it for both work and gaming.
The bucket seat looks fine visually, but having fixed side bolsters and a basic strap cushion makes me think my lower back would get tired after three or four hours.
The mesh route seems more flexible for moving around and staying cool, which is probably what I need for longer sessions. I’m just not sure how much of a difference those adjustments make once you’ve actually been sitting there for hours.
I’ve been going back and forth between the two for a while now. For anyone who made the switch, was it actually worth it?

for a long time, people said. "With linux, you can make the OS yourself" and i was like "yeah, that is IF you could master CLI, visiting bunch of forums, wasting your spare times, and debugging the errors"
but now, i realize that with AI Agents, now "making the OS yourself" is getting closer to reality. with AI Agent i can literally ask my agent to "i want this... to be this...." and because the nature of Linux which is open source most of the time the agent can figure it out, and i could customizing many things on the OS without any deep knowledge of CLI. and that's amazing.
now it is the closest one i'm really deciding to leave windows. not yet, but this is reallly close.

Are there any games that actively have people using voice coms. I bounce around a bunch of multiplayer games and they're always silent, feels like they have been since the ps3 xbox 360 era. I know alot of people use discord now. This trend has pushed me more towards single player games over the last decade as they are more engaging to play alone obviously but man do I miss a good late night game session of just shooting the shit and getting some rounds in.
My question is with nothing but dead silent lobbies how do people even meet other gamers to play with that actively talk? Tired of playing games with a podcast or whatever going in the background.
For MP i currently play games like bf6, space marines 2, helldivers 2, world of warships and dabble in some others.
Edit: just remembered hell let loose had a great vocal community, but there isn't much like it i feel.

Need a pc but don’t know jack lol, keep seeing some prebuilts at my local costco and wanna know if they’re good or not
Would appreciate if you also explained the components and what makes a pc (specifically for gaming) good. I keep hearing about GPU being more important than CPU when it comes to that so if any of the prebuilts are good, I could replace the gpu for better
Appreciate any help, thanks🙏

As the title says. I'm genuinely curious.
Is it from YouTube/Streamers, Reddit, Steam, etc?
For me, most are from YouTubers (Let's Players) and the algorithm for recommended trailers. I no longer follow the mainstream press sites.

I don't play much single player games but some of these new DLCs that came out for the games I used to play are costing like $30 to $35. Is this the new price DLC meta or something? I was curious about the DLCs and these were the prices..
Dragon Dogma 2 DLC - $29.99
Dragonball Sparkling Zero DLC - $34.99
Granblue Fantasy Relink DLC - $29.99

Canned-air multipacks have become expensive enough that Wolfbox came up while I was looking at reusable dusters for my GPU and case filters. My main concern is keeping the intake and GPU fans from free-spinning while the PC is shut down and unplugged. Holding each fan gently by the hub seems safer than wedging something into the blades, but it is awkward in tight spots. What nonconductive tool or method do you use to keep fans still without damaging them?

Not really sure what my options are, one of the primary games I play is path of exile 2 and the GPU crashes every twenty minutes in the game during mapping (high intensity moments in the game).
I've done hours of trouble shooting and the issue remains. The card passes all stress tests fine and no issues in other games.
I've shipped the card to pny (at my cost, shipping is expensive nowadays) and they said it passes their generic stress tests and returned it; however the card continues to black screen and crash every 5 to twenty minutes in poe2. I've tried another 5070ti and 9070xt and multiple different drivers etc and only this card has the issues on multiple driver versions.
Card was bought new from Best buy, but is out of there return window.
Not really sure what I can do? Am I just meant to toss 1k or sell it for parts or something on eBay? How can the warranty on a 1k item be so lackluster

I bought a used pc, and got a good deal on it, but it stinks.
Like really bad.
It smells like a mix of someones kitchen who can't cook and an old folks home. Kinda that musty funk smell when you're in a goodwill. It genuninly makes my whole room smell when its on.
I've taken it fully apart, and scrubbed the case with soap and water, sprayed the electronic parts with 99% IPA, wiped down what I could and it helped a little but it still stinks.
Wondering what I can do to help the smell. When the system is going and running hot the smell gets worse.
