MAGA was worried about immigrants ruining the US. Strangely, with Musk, they were right.

744

u/f700es 7h ago

"Vote for Harris and get a war with Iran!" This was also correct.

453

u/MechanicalTurkish 6h ago

I voted for Harris and now we have a war with Iran. Fuck me, right?

242

u/5050Clown 6h ago

I voted for Harris and now I can't afford gas. Thanks, Obama.

97

u/FD4L 6h ago

Sources tell me that, Barak Hussain Obama, has once again shit my pants.

28

u/SwaggermicDaddy 5h ago

Great American dad episode about Stan have a fantasy and trying to force Obama to shit in a pool so he isn’t as embarrassed about doing it himself. Obama tells him not to let others bother him, so Stan jumps in the pool shits himself and then puts Obama in his book of enemies who gave him bad advice in a dream.

MAGA talking about Obama sounds the exact fucking same.

It’s true. I voted for Harris and here we are, economy in shambles, costs through the roof, Gaza razed, Russia still in Ukraine and we are at war with Iran.

8

u/Malibutwo 4h ago

You've also sided with Russia and have abandoned all of your allies.

69

u/pants_full_of_pants 7h ago

Also the extreme leftists "vote for Harris and Israel will demolish Gaza!"

Amazing that all those people that were the loudest on the internet went silent immediately after the election. Really makes you think...

15

u/AtomicGrendel 5h ago

Not just on the internet. Where I live, there were daily protest marches screaming about the Palestinian genocide leading up to the election. The day after, and since? Nothing.

Not to mention Musk was an illegal immigrant, unlike a lot of the people ICE harasses and detains.

I think we should all band together and ensure he gets to Mars sooner rather than later. Send him now? I’m sure he will work out the habitat and water and oxygen thing when he gets there, he’s very resourceful.

What if Lockheed Martin decided, on their own, to turn off a host of features of our F35 during a time of war to help Vladimir Putin.

This is pretty much the same. What if we found out they made deals with Putin to so do?

30

u/JimiusRostock 5h ago

Not only that. The Germans were paying for the Starshield service the Ukrainians were using.

4

u/RadVarken 4h ago

Sternly worded crunchwrap incoming.

→ More replies (6)

34

u/Wyrade 6h ago

This is already how it's done pretty much, they just usually don't block the features/vehicles, because their goals align and get compensated enough.

Afaik many high tech military stuff like fighter jets and similar has DRM that has to be periodically unlocked from newly received codes from the "seller", so other countries are essentially just renting military tech, and they can just refuse to give the next code if they want a notable portion of that country's strength disabled.

Dependence is bad, but it's often cheaper than developing and manufacturing your own tech (assuming you even have the people that could develop it in a reasonable timeframe), so guess what people do.

8

u/OTBS 3h ago

Thats not how foreign sales work. They get different versions of the airframe as in, technology is removed, not hidden behind a paywall.

But since this is Trump the three just continue to felate each other.

How is THIS not considered a national security incident?

Every time the claim "national security" for an excuse but here, it's not a flaw it's a feature.

Nationalize the infrastructure you imbeciles.

Pretty fucked up that a private citizen can do that. It's time to nationalize it.

471

u/creamyjoshy 6h ago

It's completely fucking insane is what it is.

Are America's allies going to have to worry about some oligarch cutting off their communications on a complete ketamine induced whim without any geopolitical calculus involved whatsoever? What about their F35s, their missile defense, their nuclear deterrents?

The whole world is up for sale

137

u/tattlerat 6h ago

The military application of this tech and its functionality being held by one ridiculously wealthy person is akin to the power The East India Trading Company had at one point. More influence and power than many nations.

35

u/MattinglyBaseball 5h ago

Elon and this administration are part of the same entity. From all he has and is donating for them, to his DOGE invasion, and the administration allowing this. Trump flipping on Ukraine and breaking Russian sanctions. It wouldn’t make a difference right now if the administration owned it. They are all to blame.

The EIC was originally run by a board of directors, but was eventually brought under the absolute authority of the Board of Control. This Board was created by Act of Parliament and by law included a majority of ministers from the British government. So arguably Musk's control over his companies is much greater than any one person or interest's control over the EIC ever was.

Starshield is under pentagon control. Elon would be considered a private contractor, even as CEO. Tampering with a military system, especially deliberately sabotaging its military capabilities, would land any other contractor in jail. He would need a clear paper trail showing someone with authority actually signed off and approved the change.

An IT auditor would be capable of quickly looking up the requester and approvers for the change ticket.

11

u/Falanin 4h ago

That just means that he can do it once.  If the payoff is big enough, Mr. Contractor could just go for it and trust in his money and influence to let him skate by the consequences.

11

Or they are just making him the fall guy? Do you actually trust anything the administration says?

15

u/thaisun 6h ago

No, I don't. I also don't think for one second that Musk had any reservations about doing it either.

11

u/ZombiesInSpace 5h ago

I think the important thing here is that musk can’t do this on his own since starshield is operated by the government. This reads to me like Elon ordered US officials to throttle Ukraine’s access. So the problem isn’t that Elon controls starlink, it’s that DoD official’s apparently take orders from Elon

u/Gorstag 5h ago

Honestly, that is probably the best way to deal with Musk. Just nationalize tesla, starlink, and any other company he has tied up in that jumbled mess of reporting fraud.

→ More replies (2)

8

u/gamer_no 6h ago

Nationalize what exactly? The company's assets? Genuine question.

Edit: so the other comments below mention nationalizing the complete company based on the gov grants and contracts that the company currently holds.

2

u/SillyAlternative420 3h ago

I've said this on so many threads but even more important than Starlink is Meta's WhatsApp. Like half the world is using this app for their primary form of communication - problematic for the same reason but the stakes a way high and the magnitude much larger.

No company should be in charge of basic utilities like internet and texting.

From an outside perspective, it really doesnt matter if it was Musk or the Pedo. The important thing for other countries is: buying military tech from the US is not reliable and you dont get a straight answer why it failed.

They are basically ensuring that noone will buy US military tech in the future.

140

u/SpankThuMonkey 6h ago

Musk or THE OTHER pedo.

Musk requested to attend Epstein’s island for “wild parties” in 2012. 4 years AFTER he had been convicted of child sex crimes.

Just because the other pedos didn’t think he was cool enough. Fuckers’ still a pedo in my book.

My dad was born in the late 50’s and grew up being fascinated by the Space Race. When they launched the first Falcon rocket with a reusable booster in 2015 he took me down to Cape Canaveral to watch it. I remember him telling me with childlike wonder about how he felt like Elon was going to launch us into the next great age of exploration.

He passed away before Elon did his major public heel turn. I think he’d be heartbroken to see how this has all played out. It’s one of the only reasons I’m okay with my Dad being gone.

Saying "it's his company" is a valid opinion.

But isn't it somewhat terrifying that we have reached the point where billionaire oligarchs can now change the direction of a major international war (between two countries, neither of which is their own).

3

u/pontiacfirebird92 6h ago

Nobody is going to touch Elon Musk because he's making insiders a shit load of money.

3

u/WebInformal9558 6h ago

What consequences? A few billion dollars in subsidies from taxpayers?

3

u/chitoatx 6h ago

Does Northrop Grumman’s CEO Kathy J. Warden have a kill switch for our stealth bombers?

3

u/FernandoBasalt 6h ago

Is he going to casually brick the cars of people who don’t agree with him? The man has too much power.

3

u/KyleColby 6h ago

Ooh! The GOP is great about consequences!

3

u/chompythebeast 6h ago

Christ, I wish the parties did even a tenth of this sort of thing for Palestine.

Such an ugly society that imperialism has made

3

u/SydNorth 5h ago

Please 🙏 consequences would be amazing please thank you. That would be awesome.

3

u/StinklePink 5h ago

Wake me up when these “consequences” actually happen

3

u/V_P_3_D_ 5h ago

There will be no consequences

3

u/GordoG60 5h ago

GOP promises consequences..... don't wait up, America

3

u/Decoyx7 5h ago

I'm sure the Cyber Police and the State Police will be right on it

3

u/alexacto 5h ago

We got to the point where a South African billionaire is in command of US Military weaponry. If I put this in my novel, people would laugh me out of the bookstore, yet here we are.

7

u/engagekhan 6h ago

How about we nationalize Starlink and SpaceX from the traitor.

And he'll do the same thing with Taiwan if China ever invades. He's not just a Russian stooge; he's a China stan as well.

2

u/SonOfBill 5h ago

I hope Musk is pissing his fucking pants over this.

To think… that guy used to be held in such high regard. I even signed up for a cybertruck. Fuck this guy. I still need to get that deposit back.

2

u/J4jem 5h ago

So, if this isn’t treason, then it is at the very least aiding the enemy or armed forces interference.

What the fuck. Our country needs to get its shit together and make these assholes pay.

2

u/-Davo 5h ago

Because that's aiding and abetting an enemy. What's the word...

2

u/Bolththrower 5h ago

Musk is a Russian asset, and thus a valid target for Ukrainian intelligence.

2

u/AJfriedRICE 5h ago

It truly boggles my mind how he has more money than any human being could ever want, x100, and this is how he chooses to live his life.

Go live on a private island (not Epstein island, he’s not invited), try to enjoy your friendless, loveless life, and leave us the fuck alone.

2

u/mmalmeida 5h ago

This is why we live in a techno feudalism.

And this is exactly what Musk and other billionaires want.

2

u/H75311 5h ago

So him saying that his company had nothing to do with is a total lie. Go figure

2

u/BenMullen2 5h ago

allowing military contractors to go rouge is not a smart idea

2

u/Jimbo415650 5h ago

Trump would consider pardoning him if the price is right

2

u/Okkeh 5h ago

Cunt

2

u/bradbear117 4h ago

Musks operations are in the US. Trump administration runs the US.
They ordered Musk.

2

u/Playful_Possibility4 3h ago

Consequences.....gets a multi billion dollar contract from the nazi state of the US

2

u/alkem10 3h ago

Let Ukraine charge him with accessory in the deaths of those civilians.

2

u/monekm 3h ago

that's how it is when the critical infrastructure you depend on isnt yours.

2

u/csmarmot 3h ago

Treason, innit.

2

u/ohmyschmax 3h ago

He's a fucking traitor

2

u/Enough-Bunch505 3h ago

After the business plot of 1933 there was no consequences for the wealthiest Americans. They had hand picked a man from the millitary who was going to take control of the government and rule as a figurehead for people like Carnegie and chase. They planned a litteral coup detat, actual treason, and saw 0 consequences.

If there are going to be consequences the system must be reformed

2

u/HerbaciousTea 3h ago

Imagine if your internet provider, right now, shut off your internet to try to, let's say, impact the upcoming election.

This kind of action from billionaires is unacceptable and should end with their imprisonment, and criminal charges for everyone involved, along with the breaking up of the company that allowed that kind of abuse.

2

u/adamtheskill 3h ago

I know that there's a military version of starlink called starshield that should be entirely under the control of the DoD. I thought that was what Ukraine used so don't really understand how Elon could be allowed to make decisions about it.

Either something is very wrong in the DoD and they're for some reason allowing civilians to control critical infrastructure or Elon is taking the blame. Could be both honestly.

2

u/PhantomPhelix 3h ago

The message is being sent and heard around the globe: US Tech cannot be trusted, especially when it comes to military tech.

Any countries with F35 contracts should cancel and immediately consider alternatives.

2

u/gunsjustsuck 3h ago

Was really worried about the damage to his bot network in Russia.

2

u/maxxpower18 2h ago

Sure thing GOP cucks.

2

u/lpeabody 2h ago

Yeah I don't trust anything that comes out of a Republicans mouth.

2

u/LucidOndine 2h ago

All these lame limp dick assholes are dancing for Putin. The whole Republican Party is compromised.

u/Stormdancer 47m ago

Deport him.
