I guess it could be good - and I do enjoy Deborah Ann Woll - but Laufey was such a non-entity in the story so far that it seems like a weird decision to give her a spinoff.

This is an insane take. Am I just misinderstanding what you mean by "non-entity?" she was pretty damn important to the first game and still very relevant in the second

She's more of a plot device than an actual character. She's not exactly fridged, but it's real close.

Kratos's wife and daughter were hugely important to the story of the original trilogy, but it would still be weird to give them their own games.
