Feeling sad. I had to temporarily retire my daith over the weekend.
I had it pierced in February, with a 16gauge white gold piece. I questioned the clicker/hinge, but was told since the ring had a varying depth, the seam couldn't pass thru the piercing hole.
No major issues besides an irritation bump that lasted maybe all of a week. But then I started to feel like it was weighing heavy on the upper portion of my ear. I had it looked at several times by my pierced, reassured that everything was healing fine. But it still felt heavy, so in September we changed to a titanium CBR.
I feel like I might have waited too long to advocate for myself, because barely a month later it was starting to visable tear, and I had it taken out.
My piercer is confident that we can repierce in a few months after it heals, going with a bigger gage and larger diameter ring. But I'm still sad right now.
But then I'm also debating if this is just a sign to get my 3rds and conch done while I wait.
Pictures are from when it was first done, changed to CBR, and taken out.
