I’m considering getting my tongue split by Chai at calm body mod since he’s closest to me and reputable (I’m Swedish). Has anyone gone to him? How was your experience, the process and healing?

i feel like this question has been asked a billion times before, but i figured i'd make it a billion and one. i am having my consultation for a conch punch tomorrow and i want to know everything i need to know beforehand, and i'd also like to know what questions i should be asking my piercer. i am a side sleeper and i toss and turn at night - should i invest in a travel pillow? i prefer to follow the litha method with my piercings - is that okay for punches too? tell me everything

I don’t actually have any body mods myself, unless you count colored hair.

For the last 7 years I’ve been wearing those scarecrow Halloween vampire teeth daily. For lack of a better way to put it, I feel more like a person when I wear them. I’m more confident, my stutter lessens and I just feel more me.

That said, I hate those things and I need to move on. I can’t wear them when I eat but they’re thing and I am blind so I’m always leaving them places. They rub up against my gums when I talk and it drives me insane. After wearing them for a few hours I turn evil because they’re stressing me out so much.

Given that I’ve worn these for 7 years despite being annoyed by them, I think it’s time I just bite the bullet and get composite bonding done. I’ll be doing my own reading up on it, but I also want to hear from people who have had them. I have some specific questions but I also would love to hear about your general experience.

- Have you changed your sleeping or eating habits due to your fangs?

- I’ve read that they last about 7 years. How are your’s holding up and how long have you had them?

- How bad is the yellowing? Especially if you regularly have coffee? As I mentioned before, I’m blind and blindness comes with about 800 sleep disorders and no treatments so sometimes truly stupid amounts of caffeine is the only thing between me and passing out at work.

- How often do you get them worked on if at all?

I am interested in getting into hooked/ pierced suspension but the piercings seem more surgical and idk where to start or what to even look for. Does anyone have any tips? I’m in the PDX area if that helps at all.

Has anyone seen a deep subcosion starting near the balls and only going half way up the shaft leaving the head Intact?

This something i want but would like to see one first and find someone with experience

At some point, I read about and saw photos of a procedure where the flesh between two stretched lobes is scalpelled and repaired to connect them into a single, larger opening. Does anyone have more information on something like this? When I try to research it, I just get results on reconstruction. I have 20mm firsts and 10mm seconds, and I have reached my limit on how large I can stretch my seconds because I had them pierced so close initially. The solution my heart desires is a procedure to combine my firsts and seconds lol.

My tongue split is on the short side, as I wanted it done that way… though I am lowkey considering going back for a deeper split eventually. We’ll see! I’m super happy with it.

I got this done back in May this year. Healing was honestly smooth sailing, I felt very lucky considering all of the stories I’ve read where people have had a rough time.

I got my ear incorrectly stratched like 9 or 10 years ago, and do to incorrect stratching i ended up getting scar tissue, so i whant to remove it, And maybe center the hole more so i can go as big as posseble.

Any options, info and tips are appreciated!

It’s currently Monday night and I’m sitting here with my fully intact ear with butterflies in my stomach! I get nervous before everything, so this is normal. I’ve gotten tattoos and piercings, had surgery while awake, and stuffed my own incisions with gauze before. In theory this should be within my wheelhouse but I’m still feeling a bit “aaaaaah”

I met with my artist the other day and they’re wonderful, we did a little anatomy consultation ahead of the appointment which is on Friday. A close friend has gotten so much work done with this artist and offered high praises, and their portfolio is clean and lovely with fresh and healed photos.

All signs are pointing to yes! Any tips for the uninitiated? I think I’m just extra nervous because this will be my first real body mod outside of the normal things. I’m used to discomfort, pain, wound care, and all that fun stuff.

What the title says. I’m based in the UK so very aware that finding a reputable scarification artist will be near impossible, but I’m willing to travel to mainland Europe for scarification. Who is recommended and where are they based these days?

So, I want to get fangs but I know my veryyyyy small underbite may be an issue (one canine tip presses up onto another tooth when I bite down). Would I need to get braces first to fix everything to be able to get them? I'd prefer getting everything in perfect order anyways.

(I got really bad at taking pics after this, but it essentially looked the same, the slot just continued to smooth out!)
11: Day 27, stacked! (My ear was very calm, not swollen or red before, but I was putting jewelry in my ear for like 30 minutes so it got quite irritated)

I got my coinslot done September 19th. As far as the process goes, it was extremely smooth and quick! I felt no pain or even mild discomfort during the procedure. My whole ear was completely numb for 2-3 hours afterwards.
After the numbing started to wear off, my ear was pretty sensitive, but not necessarily super painful unless I touched or laid on it. Throughout the entire healing process, I wouldn’t say the pain was more than a 5/10, and it was really only that high on day 2 and 3 when my ear was extremely swollen. After that it was just making sure I didn’t bump my ear! But I was in really no pain unless I bumped it or was cleaning it!

On the 9th day I removed the stitches. I should have probably waited for the 10th day, but the stitches were quite tight and felt like they were pulling on my ear, so I opted to remove them because I was worried about embedding. This was by far the worst part of the coinslot, in my opinion. It was a bit painful, but not insanely bad, but oh my god it must have taken me an hour to remove the stitches, and even after that I realized the next day that I had left a couple pieces in my ear 😭. If you can have someone else remove them for you, I would definitely opt to do that, because being able to see your ear and the tiny stitches yourself is so difficult, and after a few minutes of trying, it became so red and swollen that it made things even more difficult to see.

After the stitch removal though, it was smooth sailing! My ear was a bit more sensitive for a day or two after removal, and I had a bit of my ear that stuck out some from how the stitches had been sitting on the skin, but after a week or so after removal, everything smoothed out pretty nicely!

Today, October 16th, 27 days after the initial procedure and 19 days since stitch removal, I stacked my ear for the first time! I could fit 6 rings in in, but because my ears swell really easily and I was fucking with it for a while, it got irritated after putting the rings in (beforehand it was completely calm and not swollen or red). I took out 3 of the rings so that I don’t jump the gun and have the rings irritate my ear as it is still slightly sensitive, but I can say that just short of a month of having my coinslot done, things feel great!

I adore my coinslot and am so excited to be able to stack it with all sorts of cool jewelry! I would definitely do it again, and plan to in the future, and for those concerned about the healing process, for me it really wasn’t bad at all! The first few nights were a bit rough, but after that it was easy peasy!

I’m currently at an event where we’re camping, got shotty internet connection and are in full outfit gear and phones are only for down time in your tent.

Because of that I’m more likely to use cash or have to run back and forth to my tent to pay for stuff by pin.
I’ve been considering it for a while, and I think it would be so fun at parties, events, festivals, ext to be able to pay for my drink with just my hand and an chip!

Ideally one that is not my usual bank account, but I can put like €20 to €150 on, so it bypasses the risk of drunkenly boasting about it and spending too much, and keeping my costs for the night/weekend contained.

I just can’t be bothered to lug my wallet around and risk losing it, or pulling my phone out in phonefree events.

I’m wondering if anyone has experince with this particular implant and if the company used to pay is trustworthy, properly maintained, and secure against cyber attacks.

Got these done about two weeks ago! Actually relatively sharp and very strong. I was thankful to have found a cosmetic dentist who’s done a bunch of fangs before me so he had the process down pat.

I'm going to Thailand in June, I'm coming from New Zealand where you can't get any mods done (legally). I want to get a coin slot, a section of my ear lobe removed so I can stretch my ears bigger and baby fangs.

Where can I go? Or accounts I can follow that do this type of work in Thailand?
