News/Article Bombshell lawsuit alleges that RAM manufacturers are colluding to drive up prices. Three companies that account for 90% of RAM revenue are being sued for anti-competitive practices. Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron (the "DRAM Triarchy" controlling ~90-95% of the global DRAM market)

But any time you bring this up some skid mark comes in “no no bro you don’t get it, it’s the market, supply and demand you can’t force them to sell things to you at a discounted price” to defend this shit.

you can’t force them to sell things to you at a discounted price

You can force companies to do many things. Miners killed their bosses eith pickaces to lower the workday to 8 hours. If enough people demand it a government can literally dismantle a company

If companies are people, is it wrong to wish for a corporate death sentence in cases of wrong doing?

No, and its rare but it sometimes happens. Given enough fines a corporate will dissolve anyway but its not the corporate who needs to be jailed, its the leaders. The second courts start to pierce the veil in cases of clear abuse of law this bullshit stops

Current global governments are already a conglomarate of companies, if you see any modern government "dismantling" a company, you can bet it's on purpose to remove a competition, not because the company did something wrong.

Don't be naive, the people can't demand anything in modern politics, especially with geopolitical important items like RAM.

Csnt demand in practice because the politicians are bought and peaceful protests are ignored. Non peaceful ones are illegal. So they solved the problem, the only way to make real change would mean risking prison for many

Non peaceful ones are illegal

Tbf, they always where illegal. The difference is that peaceful ones also where, so it just was more of a "Being late is punishable by death and rebelling is also punishable by death?"-situation.

until a few decades ago the government lacked high quality cctv so they couldnt mass prosecute everyone who burned a trash bin

Or said govt will be overthrown and leader executed/jailed for killing protestors

Except the protestors are armed rebels, armed with us military weapons and training

You understand when someone says “you can’t just go around murdering people” they don’t mean that it’s literally impossible to murder people, right?

Oh but history shows different infact i know i know its hard to believe. The usa was formed via a violent revolutionary war. Slavery was abolished from a… violent murdering civil war.

I think they know what they said tbf. They're saying people have become way too complacent and that's the main reason wealth inequality and so much abuse of power has run rampant. It literally gets worse every single year for ~55 years straight. Those in power keep becoming more and more emboldened.

Yes, but what you said is rather different. To legalise murder you would have to change the constitution, because it affects basic human rights. It would be quite impossible in a country with rule of law. Adding a few rules to businesses is a much, much lower bar. The US just said to 2 leading AI companies thst they cant release their product
