I'm slightly vexed Taxi driver wearing noise cancelling headphones while driving in the city

Post image

Look I’m PMSing so I’m admittedly in a very nit picky time of my life. But. Don’t love weaving in and out of traffic in a major city while the taxi driver has noice cancelling headphones on. The sound is loud enough I can hear whatever (moderately funny) comedy show he’s listening to in the backseat. This is ill advised, yes?

ETA thanks to everyone who taught me about transparent mode today :)

ETA2 : Okay, I’m the asshole, comments have shown me there’s lots that could be going on with the driver to make him need to use these and there’s way he could do so safely. Mea culpa. That’ll teach me to knee jerk react.

I get it, it's unsafe and illegal, but there are deaf people who drive just fine.

In Florida blind people are allowed to drive.

Cause deaf people are actually paying attention to the road and not whatever shitty podcast you listen to

But deaf people often have extra mirrors and flashing-light systems or dashboard displays to convey what is going on around them

Only deaf person I know definitely did not have that. Or any sort of modifications, he just drove a normal Honda civic. But with sick subwoofers so he could jam out to the bass in the music he listened to.

What is it with redditors that think the world works like a fantasy land?

My grandma is deaf and drove me around my entire childhood. She did not have ANYTHING in the car that wasn't already there when she bought it from the dealership.
