I just got back from Japan and South Korea, and my god it was so refreshing not having to tip. And don’t get me wrong, I always tip in the US. I want people to get livable wages, it just sucks that US culture hoists that responsibility onto the consumer

Just to add, and I hate to say it, but I feel like the service overall was better too

For 0 tip.

Returning to the US was a shitty reverse culture shock to say the least
