Tattoo artists in Canada ask for tips too. Granted I've only dealt with two, but they both had tip options on their POS system. Friends have told me their artists ask the same. The tipping culture of the USA is and always has been in full effect in Canada.

Yup also canadian. Got one tattoo, shit was expensive and then expected a fat tip on top. Never got another lol
